I do not use ftp or telnet to download from the net. So it will have to
be those GUI kind of stuff.

Hello,

Is anyone able to sue Intel 865 Motherboard with Mandrake Linux 10.1 ?

I find it freezing at the time of install itself.
On the Alt-3 screen, I see the following :
===
*found a Mandrakelinux CDROM, good news!
*Total memory: 504 Mbytes
*trying to load /sysroot/tmp/image/install/stage2/mdkinst_stage2.bz2 as a
ramdisk
*mount /dev/ram3 on /sysroot/tmp/stage2 as type ext2
*fopen(stage1.c:303) failed: I/O error
*unsetting automatic
===

While this is on Alt-3 screen, the error on install screen is :
Fatal error finishing initialisation.

The CD is fine as one can install on other machines with non-865 boards.

Can anyone suggest a solution to this ?
Thanks.

Hi Raj

Although, Linux User Group will be registered in Delhi only, but no

Thus other states can not have another society with the same name.

Dear LL

 despite all this,
only six to seven showed up for this month's ilug-d meet, from our nearly
2,000 people in the mailing list.

 wretched support.
 don't blame the rains.

Not blaming anything else, but I'll take the responsibility and I am sorry,
and I was busy with some very personal work.
Will definitely try to join next meet.

i suppose this goes to show two things:

 linux-delhi is falling apart.
 linux is dead.

Linux is not 2000 ilugdiites. I do not know about Linux-Delhi, linux / open
source is defnitely not falling apart.

That brings us to another idea, that if physical presence is not feasible
sometimes, how about holding Webinars / Online Meetings in some chat room
etc.

Cheers
