Boycott Israel [IslamCity] 1ST PROHIBITION OF COKE PEPSI
By Ibrahim Asalioglu, Ankara Wednesday, August 30, 2006 zaman.com The selling of Coca Cola and Pepsi has been prohibited in the Istanbul Convention Exhibition Center, which hosts 1.5 million people annually. The first Turkish prohibition for Coca Cola and Pepsi, which had been previously prohibited in Latvia, India and a university in England based on the claim that they contained some hazardous materials, came from a civil society in Turkey. Mustafa Ozbey, who changed the name of "My Showland "to" the Istanbul Convention Exhibition Center, prohibited the sales of the popular soft drinks in his show center stemming from the desire to be a good role model and protect Turks from pollutants. Ozbey stressed that the health of Turkish people was at least as important as the health of a Hindu or Latvian and added there would not be Coca Cola or Pepsi in any part of the convention center, which begins its next season in September. Ozbey said all of the canteens and kiosks around the center belonged to them, and added, "Even if we hire them out, we will assert our conditions in this frame." Ozbey said the Istanbul Convention Exhibition Center was the second biggest convention center in the world and the biggest in Europe, and added: "About 30-40 percent of our visitors drink Coca Cola or Pepsi every year and, in fact, we earn a lot from these sales. Even if we only took advertisements from Coca Cola we could earn more; however, the health of Turkish people is more important for us." Ozbey said great amounts of money leave Turkey due to the cola and cigarette industry, and added: "None of these kinds of goods will be available in our convention center until it is proven that they do not harm people's health." Al-Azhar University Advises Against Colas Leading Egyptian University al-Azhar advised against drinking Coca Cola and Pepsi, which have been prohibited in some countries recently. Vice Rector of al-Azhar Abduldaim Nasir relayed the news issued al-Medina Daily in Saudi Arabia that both of these colas included materials produced fro m pork. One of the leading intellectuals in the Islam world, Professor Abdulhalim Uveys, noted that Muslim intellectuals had previously released fatwas that the drinks produced by these trademarks were forbidden according to Islamic food regulations. Uveys said he also thought in the same way, and added: "Coca Cola has some alcohol ingredients and Pepsi has some pork ingredients. Also, the soft drinks produced by these two companies should not be drunk because, first of all, they harm people, as alcohol and cigarettes do; and secondly, drinking them can be considered unnecessary because there are no health benefits. And maybe the most important thing here is that both of these companies support Israel." == __._,_.___ *** {Invite (mankind, O Muhammad ) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'an) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Boycott Israel [IslamCity] The change of Shabaan
Peace be upon you, Shabaan is the 8th month of the Islamic lunar calendar. After Ramadan it was during Shabaan that the Prophet would fast the most. The wisdom for doing so reflected the physical nature of the human being, that is to prepare the body for the lengthier month of Ramadan in which every day is a fasting day. Another aspect of this wisdom was spiritual, for the Prophet said that during this month that the deeds of the individual would be presented to Allah and that he wished that his deeds would be presented to Allah whilst he was in a state of fasting. Crucially however, the Prophet never singled out the central night of Shabaan for fasting. When a person fasts they not only sacrifice something of this life, that is physical nourishment, but they seek closeness to their Creator by recognising the Creator's right over the created. It is commonly known amongst the Muslims that during the month of Shabaan there is a night known as `Laylatul-baraah' (the night which is free of fire). It is said that during this evening people are granted special Mercy and Forgiveness from Allah Almighty. There are caveats which exclude those who are envious or jealous, those who disobey their parents, those who regularly drink intoxicating beverages etc and Allah knows best. The night is also known as Shab-i-Barat (the night of records) where the actions of a person in the upcoming year are recorded. Something less commonly known is that it was during Shabaan that the direction of prayer changed. That is to say that in the early days of Islam when the Kaba, the House of Allah built by Abraham, was full of idols, the Muslims would pray in the same direction of the Jews of Medina, towards Jerusalem. However on this night, in the midst of prayer, the direction of prayer shifted from Jerusalem to the Kaba in Mecca. When we combine these two sets of historical events, the changing of direction of prayer and the belief that Allah Almighty is Most Forgiving on this evening we can recognise an underlying wisdom, one which embodies the human learning experience. From those who have little knowledge of Islam thus apply only the abstract basics of faith in their daily lives to those with a more comprehensive understanding of faith, we are all subject to increasing our understanding of faith, we are all subject to change in our lives. Those who are bad Muslims have opportunity to seek forgiveness and improve, even if it is only by a small measure done on a regular basis. And those who are better Muslims also have the opportunity to seek forgives and also change. We as Muslims must avoid falling into the trap in which we say what has been written for us has been written for us and therefore we cannot affect that. The truth of the matter is that none of us know what has been written for us, therefore we are to exercise every legitimate opportunity which comes our way, use our facilities of comprehension and understanding to enable ourselves, instead of being lax, reactive and disabling ourselves. May Allah Almighty have mercy and grant us all with peace, happiness, comprehension, motivation, and the ability to achieve our highest aspirations, amen. Boycott Israel [IslamCity] The Israel Lobby Works Its Magic, Again
http://www.counterpunch.org/ How Human Rights Watch Lost Its Way in Lebanon The Israel Lobby Works Its Magic, Again By JONATHAN COOK Nazareth. The measure of a human rights organisation is to be found not just in the strides it takes to seek justice for the oppressed and victimised but also in the compromises it makes to keep itself out of trouble. Because of the business that human rights defenders are in, they must be held to a standard higher than we demand of others. Unfortunately, one of the best -- Human Rights Watch -- has failed that test during the war in Lebanon this summer. To its credit, HRW has risked much opprobrium for taking Israel to task for systematically breaking international law during its assault on Lebanon. That has culminated in a predictable campaign of harassment by pro-Israel organisations in the US -- as well as by the usual suspects like Alan Dershowitz -- that have accused its researchers of libelling Israel and being anti-Semitic. Such attacks reached an obscene pitch after HRW's executive director, Kenneth Roth, observed in publicity material accompanying a recent report that Israel appeared to have treated south Lebanon as a free-fire zone and that its strikes had failed to distinguish between civilians and Hizbullah fighters. Roth, a Jew whose father fled Nazi Germany, was accused in typical hyperbolic fashion of engaging in the de-legitimization of Judaism, the basis of much anti-Semitism (New York Sun), being an ally of the barbarians and reflexive Israel basher (David Horowitz), and resorting to a slur about primitive Jewish bloodlust (Jonathan Rosenblum). I do not underestimate the damage that such criticism risks doing to the reputations of HRW and Roth. But I also know that no concession to such intimidation can be justified, not if we are to search for the truth or hope to defend the principal victims of violations of international law, the civilian populations of poor and weak nations. Name-calling, however distasteful, cannot justify HRW distorting its findings to placate the Israel lobby. But that seems to be just what is happening. The most egregious example is to be found in a post-war interview between the New York Times and a senior HRW researcher, Peter Bouckaert, about a recent report, Fatal strikes, in which the organisation provides evidence that Israel fired indiscriminately on Lebanese civilians during the fighting. Rather than concentrating on HRW's findings of war crimes in Lebanon -- the focus of the research -- Bouckaert digresses: I mean, it's perfectly clear that Hezbollah is directly targeting civilians, and that their aim is to kill Israeli civilians. We don't accuse the Israeli army of deliberately trying to kill civilians. Our accusation, clearly stated in the report, is that the Israeli army is not taking the necessary precautions to distinguish between civilian and military targets. So, there is a difference in intent between the two sides. At the same time, they are both violating the Geneva Convention. After an observation like that -- stuffed in a brief space with so many double standrads -- HRW should not complain if one day it finds itself short of friends prepared to come to its aid when next the likes of Dershowitz batter it with the anti-Semitism canard. Those who indulge in slurs (against Arabs) can hardly call on our sympathy when they themselves are victims of the same kind of innuendo. First, how does Bouckaert know that Israel's failure to distinguish between civilian and military targets was simply a technical failure, a failure to take precautions, and not intentional? Was he or another HRW researcher sitting in one of the military bunkers in northern Israel when army planners pressed the button to unleash the missiles from their spy drones? Was he sitting alongside the air force pilots as they circled over Lebanon dropping their US-made bombs or tens of thousands of cluster munitions, tiny land mines that are now sprinkled over a vast area of south Lebanon? Did he have intimate conversations with the Israeli chiefs of staff about their war strategy? Of course not. He has no more idea than you or I what Israel's military planners and its politicians decided was necessary to achieve their war goals. In fact, he does not even know what those goals were. So why make a statement suggesting he does? Similarly, just as Bouckaert is apparently sure that he can divine Israel's intentions in the war, and that they were essentially benign, he is equally convinced that he knows Hizbullah's intentions, and that they were malign. Whatever the evidence suggests -- in a war in which Israel overwhelmingly killed Lebanese civilians and is still doing so, and in which Hizbullah overwhelmingly killed Israeli soldiers -- Bouckaert knows better. He admits that both violated the Geneva Conventions, a failure he makes sound little more than a technicality, but apparently only Hizbullah had evil designs. How is it perfectly clear to

Pressured to define the "War on Terrorism" the West had to come up with negative connotations that would expand the meaning of and give a face to the war on terrorism. This petition is just the start of approaching Western governmental and institutional concerns to change their definition of their war on terrorism from that of an Islamic nature to what the war really is, a war of Western aggression. Islam does not condone the killing of innocent civilians. It does not condone the suicide of young children as a means of military combat. It does not condone the killing, rape, and torture of women, children, elderly and non-combatants. Muslims in the West have to take a stand to reclaim the honor of Islam. We can not let any concerns outside of Islam redefine Islam for us. Whether it be governmental, institutional or criminal. Please sign and circulate this petition for Allah's sake. Whining Over Discontent - PAUL KRUGMAN ; Greg Palast faces Homeland Security charge by PAUL KRUGMAN - The New York Times Friday Sep 8th, 2006 - Krugman: More On Inequality - PLUS: Reporter Greg Palast faces Homeland Security charges and more OP-ED COLUMNIST Whining Over Discontent By PAUL KRUGMAN Published: September 8, 2006 We are, finally, having a national discussion about inequality, and right-wing commentators are in full panic mode. Statistics, most of them irrelevant or misleading, are flying; straw men are under furious attack. Its all very confusing deliberately so. So let me offer a few clarifying comments. First, why are we suddenly talking so much about inequality? Not because a few economists decided to make inequality an issue. Its the public not progressive pundits that has been telling pollsters the economy is only fair or poor, even though the overall growth rate is O.K. by historical standards. ... Some conservatives whine that people didnt complain as much about rising inequality when Bill Clinton was president. But most people were happy with the state of the economy in the late 1990s, even though the rich were getting much richer, because the middle class and the poor were also making substantial progress. Now ... most working Americans are losing ground. Re: Boycott Israel [IslamCity] Title: Ramadan Unity of the Muslim Community-Dr. Qardawi's fatwa
Faston seeing the moon and not on calculations. - Original Message - From: "S A Hannan"@laknet.slt.lk To: eGroup For Muslims Around The World Sent: Thursday, September 07, 2006 7:39 AM Subject: Boycott Israel [IslamCity] Title: Ramadan Unity of the Muslim Community-Dr. Qardawi's fatwa - Sent: Wednesday, October 13, 2004 7:46 PM Subject: Title: Ramadan Unity of the Muslim Community-Dr. Qardawi's fatwa Source: islam online.netName Arshad - United StatesTitle: Ramadan Unity of the Muslim CommunityQuestion Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Whenever the month of Ramadancomes near, Muslims get divided into two groups. The majority startsfastingand celebrates `Eid with their local community. This group follows a majorlocal organization such as the Islamic Society of North America, which is awell-established organization in North America. But the other group, whichis a minority, always creates a division and disunity within the communityand follows Saudi Arabia (or its own mother country) in starting and endingtheir observation of the holy month. For the sake of the unity, don't youthink the Muslim community should unite and start and end fasting on thesame day? Which opinion do you strongly prefer? To stick with your localcommunity or to follow another country that is far from you? Jazakum Allahkhayran.Date 10/Oct/2004MuftiSheikh Yusuf Al-QaradawiAnswerWa `alaykum As-Salamu wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon HisMessenger.Dear brother in Islam, we would like to thank you for the great confidenceyou place in us, and we implore Allah Almighty to help us serve His causeand render our work for His Sake. May Allah reward you abundantly for yourinterest in knowing the teachings of your religion, Islam!First of all, we'd like to state that Muslims should strive and do theirbest to achieve their unity in all aspects, not only in the beginning andend of Ramadan and celebrating the `Eids. It is against the spirit of Islamto see Muslims in the same country divided in their rituals and theirIslamic dates and events. The Islamic spirit is against division anddisunity. That is why Muslims are not allowed to hold two congregationalPrayers in one mosque at the same time.Muslim scholars have differed regarding the following issue: if the newmoonis sighted in one region or country, ought the people of other regions tofollow this sighting or follow their own sighting? The preferable view isthat Muslims in other regions and countries are to follow this sighting aslong as these countries share one part of the night. However, if this unity cannot be achieved nowadays, then Muslims in eachcountry must be united and start fasting on the same day. The dilemma ofMuslims in the West is that they are divided between their locality andtheir countries of origin. Some are inclined to follow their countries oforigin or major Muslim centers like Saudi Arabia. This, in fact, causesdivision among Muslims living in the West and they fail to achieve theleastlevel of unity regarding their Islamic dates and events. Moreover, thiscauses Muslims problems with the authorities in these countries anddeprivesthem from some of their rights. For instance, Muslims cannot demand the dayof `Eid as a day off if they do not agree on a certain day.In this regard, the eminent Muslim scholar, Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi,states:We should be keen and strive to achieve the unity of Muslims regarding thebeginning and end of fasting and all other rituals. We should not lose hopein achieving this goal or removing the obstacles in its way. However, it is to be stressed that anyhow if we fail to achieve the unityofthe whole Muslim nation, we should at least be keen to achieve the unity ofMuslims in each country. It is not acceptable at all that Muslims of theonecountry or city be divided among themselves and differ regarding thebeginning of the fast so that some of them start fasting on one day whilethe others do not observe the fast on that day.It is agreed upon that the decision of the ruler or the people in authorityand charge of Muslims affairs lifts the differences in disputable matters. Therefore, if the authority in charge of ascertaining the sighting of themoon in a given country (such as Dar al-Iftaa [House of Fatwa], SupremeCourt, or Presidency of Religious Affairs) announces the sighting of thenewmoon, then Muslims in such region should follow its decisions, as it isobedience in goodness even if the decision differs with other countries. In light of the above mentioned facts, Muslims are to achieve unity amongthemselves. They are to follow their own recognized authorities
Boycott Israel [IslamCity] From PAkisTAN : The real story behind HUDOOD ORDINANCE drama
Rejecting the Hudood BillSyed Munawar HasanThe Hudood amendment Bill presented by the PML(Q) government in the National Assembly, with mollified intention for creating wedge in the ranks of opposition ahead of no confidence movement against the Prime Minister, has nothing to do with the 'aims' and 'objectives' envisioned in the Bill.Upholding the practice of bulldozing important laws or going for legislation through the Ordinances, the government presented the amendment Bill pertaining to Hudood without due home work to gain political mileage out of it as against the publicized objectives. An august House, which blossoms with the first kalmia atop its building entrance gate, can not legislate on the issues repugnant to Quran and Sunnah. The proposed Bill, in nutshell, was sheer violation of the Hudood punishments enshrined in the Quran and Sunnah. The fully alive opposition, which did never remain oblivious of its legislation duty in the elected house, timely reacted in this situation and offered tough resistance forcing the treasury benches to set up a select committee to review the "cherished" Bill put forward by the government for which unprecedented hype was created in the media to deceive the people.Scenes of emotional commitment manifested in the form of ripping off copies of the Bill were witnessed in the National Assembly when the government committed the folly of presenting it for approval despite strong opposition and rejection by the people of Pakistan. The imprudent treasury benches tried to play the natural reaction of opposition about the Bill out of proportion in media. The civilian batman[MQM] of Musharraf regime was "ordered" to show their street muscles on this occasion. People of Pakistan can vividly recall that these 'lovers' of Holy Prophet (PBUH) maintained tactful mum when the European papers were misusing the freedom of _expression and publishing sacrilegious cartoons of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) to hurt the feelings of world's Muslims. The self-proclaimed progressive, moderate and enlightened MQM did not dare to issue a single statement to condemn the custodial martyrdom of Amir Cheema at the hands of German authorities. But their 'furor' to condemn the "sacrilege" of word Quran, Hudood and Sunnah hit the headlines as their uniformed mentors were literally embarrassed after opposition strong protest in the NA.This situation warrants that other side of the story should also be told to the people enabling them to decide what the Bill has to offer the oppressed women folk of Pakistan. The certain loopholes pointed out in the Bill do not relate to the flaws in the Ordinance itself. The misuse of Hudood ordinance results from the Anglo-Saxon laws upon which our current legal and procedural system is based. The rotten legal system of the country is the root cause of the extra judicial settlement of "scores" by the people. Hudood cases were no more exception in this regard. If the treasury benches were sincere in ameliorating the sufferings of people they should have orchestrated media trial of the British laws but to the utter dismay they used the media tool to scrap the Islamic laws which ensure the sanctity of our society and protect its deterioration on the same lines which had taken heavy tool of family life in the west.As far as the repression against women in the form of rape (zina biljabr) is concerned, it is not the fault of Ordinance rather it is the ignorance of police and the judges about the requirements of Hudood in letter and spirit. Justice Wahiduddin and Justice Hafiz Lakh have conceded the demands of Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman and Maulana Abdul Malik vis-à-vis appointment of competent Shariah judges to try the Hudood cases. The Islamic punishments did not come in vogue after the promulgation of 1979 Hudood Ordinance rather their history dates back to 14 hundred centuries in the past. Criminals liable to Hudood were not imprisoned in the past unlike the present judicial system therefore no cruel action ever took place against the violators of Hudood.Legal actions were taken against them under the Islamic laws wherein cardinal principle of "benefit of doubt goes to accused" was amply applied to defer the Hadd in maximum cases. Those who oppose Hudood laws are doing so because of the severe nature of the punishments envisioned in it. They forget the philosophy behind the severe Hadd that it is meant to "prevent the perpetrator from committing the same sin and deter the others to have recourse such crime".Divine religions like Christianity and Judaism were changes by their followers to suit their mood but it is the hallmark of Islam that its commandments remain unchanged until today. Anyone drawing their political strength from the military uniform should not think that they will be allowed safe sailing against the Islamic laws in the parliament of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Those who ripped off the Bill's copies in the NA actually manifested their disgust against the
Boycott Israel [IslamCity] Marriage Of the Prophet (saws) With Ayesha Her Age
Marriage Of the Prophet (saws) With Ayesha Her Agehttp://www.ourdialogue.com/answers/articles.php?action="">I have been asked numerous times about the Prophets marriage with Ayesha and her age at the time. Could you please throw some light on this issue, and explain the reasons why this marriage took place at such an early age? Yes, this question will inevitably be raised time after time, particularly with the steadily increasing attacks against Islam and against the Prophet, peace be upon him, personally. Yet there is nothing in Islam, or in the character and behavior of Muhammad, peace be upon him, Gods last messenger to mankind that we need to apologize for, or feel embarrassed about. However, some discussion of his marriage to Ayesha and her age at the time of their marriage is needed in order to show that there was nothing wrong in all that. The most commonly quoted report suggests that Ayesha was only six years of age when the Prophet, peace be upon him, proposed to her, and their actual marriage took place when she was nine. People tend to take this as an established fact. But when we examine this report and take into consideration all factors and related reports, we find that this report does not stand to even elementary scrutiny. The first thing we have to understand is that the Arabian society at the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, was largely illiterate, with very few people able to read and write. There was no particular calendar used for dating major events, let alone the births and deaths of people. We read for example that the Prophet, peace be upon him, was born in the year of the elephant, which was the year when an Abyssinian commander went from Yemen to Makkah at the head of a large army with the aim of destroying the Ka'abah. A large elephant marched in front of the army. Hence, the name given to the event and the year. Reports of peoples ages in Arabia at the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, are often confused, and always uncertain. For example, the common idea of the Prophets age at the time of his first marriage to Khadeejah is said to be 25, while she was 40. However, in the most reliable biography of the Prophet, peace be upon him, written by Ibn Hisham, which gives him that age, we have two additional reports, one putting his age at 30 and the other at 21. There is simply no way we can determine with any degree of accuracy which of the three figures indicating the Prophets age is the correct one. Khadeejahs age is also subject to speculation with different reports saying that she was 35 and 25. One report by Ibn Abbas, the Prophets cousin who was one of the most authoritative scholars among the Prophets companions, says that both the Prophet, peace be upon him, and his wife were 28 at the time of their marriage. Considering that Khadeejah gave the Prophet, peace be upon him, six children, there is no way she could have been 40 at the time of their marriage, which is the most common report. She must have been much younger, and the report that she was 28 or 25 seems far more reasonable. The Prophet, peace be upon him, did not marry anyone else while Khadeejah was alive, and he lived with her for 25 years. When she died and he was facing great pressure, a woman companion of his suggested that he should get married, so that he would have companionship and comfort at home, after a long day of preaching his message. She suggested either a virgin, Ayesha, or a previously married woman, Sawdah. The Prophet, peace be upon him, told her to go with his proposal to both of them. The idea behind a new marriage was to give the Prophet, peace be upon him, companionship and comfort, and yet those who suggest that Ayesha was six at the time want us to believe that the woman who wanted the Prophet, peace be upon him, to get married would suggest to him a girl of 6 to marry! That is some companionship! I wonder whether she meant companionship to him or to his youngest daughter who was older than Ayesha, if we accept this report. But then we cannot take the matter on logical factors alone. We have to have some other basis. Consider then that in Ibn Ishaqs biography of the Prophet, peace be upon him, which is the basis and most accurate of all biographies, we have a list of the early Muslims, who accepted Islam in the very early days of the Islamic message. He lists about 50 people and this list includes the names of Abu Bakrs two daughters, Asma and Ayesha, adding that she was young at the time. On that list, Ayesha comes at number 20, but let us not attach any importance to this order. We will only take the fact that all these were Muslims before the message of Islam was in its fifth year, because in that year the first immigration to Abyssinia took place, when many of those included in this list were among the immigrants. So, at that time, in year 5 or earlier, Ayesha was young but old enough to be listed among people accepting a
Re: Boycott Israel [IslamCity] Fw: IslamiCity Recommendation
Dear Angle, I would say:- Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakathuhu. (not salams) This is beyond the point. Accusations to galore !. But please be patient and read the following- all authentic. Not to cause embarrasment, but to recognize the faults and remedy. WOMEN: Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith Narrated Ibn Abbas The Prophet said: "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful." It was asked, "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, 'I have never received any good from you." Narrated Abu Said Al Khudri Once Allah's Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) on 'Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Apostle?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion. Narrated Sahl The men used to pray with the Prophet with their Izars tied around their necks as boys used to do; therefore the Prophet told the women not to raise their heads till the men sat down straight (while praying). Narrated Aisha The things which annul the prayers were mentioned before me. They said, "Prayer is annulled by a dog, a donkey and a woman (if they pass in front of the praying people)." I said, "You have made us (i.e. women) dogs. I saw the Prophet praying while I used to lie in my bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I would slip away, for I disliked to face him. Narrated Um Salama Whenever Allah's Apostle finished his prayers with Taslim, the women would get up and he would stay on for a while in his place before getting up. Ibn Shihab said, "I think (and Allah knows better), that the purpose of his stay was that the women might leave before the men who had finished their prayers. Narrated Aisha Had Allah's Apostle known what the women were doing, he would have forbidden them from going to the mosque as the women of Bani Israel had been forbidden. Yahya bin Said (a sub-narrator) asked 'Amra (another sub-narrator), "Were the women of Bani Israel forbidden?" She replied "Yes." Al-Muwatta Hadith Concerning Women Going Out to the Mosque Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "If the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, had seen what women do now, he would have forbidden them to go into the mosques, just as the women of the Bani Israil were forbidden." Yahya ibn Said said that he asked Amra, "Were the women of the Bani Israil forbidden to go into the mosques?" and she said, "Yes." Al-Muwatta Hadith Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father from A'isha,xx Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." A'isha said, "Messenger of Allah, when Abu Bakr stands in your place his voice does not reach the ears of the people because of his weeping, so tell Umar to lead the people in prayer The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'You are the companions of Yusuf! (referring to the women who cut their hands when they saw the beauty of Yusuf). Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer!' " Fiqh-us-Sunnah Fiqh 2.63a The positioning of the young and the women The Messenger of Allah placed the men in front of the young boys and the women behind the young boys. I thought Islam brought rights
