Boycott Israel [IslamCity] A to Z Needs Satisfactory Reply

2006-10-25 Thread Shariq Hamid

009.031: "They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One Allah: there is no god but He..." 025.030: Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense." There still are the people who obey and follow the Ulama without ascertaining if it is in accordance with Allah's teachings or not. To say the least about the Quran the better because it has long been deserted by over 99% of those people who call themselves to be Muslims.a) Quran is silent on punishment to ‘apostates’ but even then they have prescribed the harshest punishment of death penalty. b) Quran is silent on “Rajm”
(Stoning to death) but it is a punishment prescribed mostly to the women, even today. c) Quran is silent on circumcision but it has been followed as part of the religion of Abraham. d) Quran is silent on Aqiqa but again it has been a Jewish practice hence copied. e) Quran is silent on “Munkar Nakir” interrogation in the graves, but all the Ulama insist on this to happen after death. f) Quran is silent on “Pul Saraat” but the Ulama have made us to have a belief in crossing it. g) Quran is silent on calling “Wine/Alcohol” to be haram but the Ulama had succeeded in making the Ummah to believe otherwise. h) Quran permits the practice of Mut’a but the Ulama ruled it to be haram. i) Quran says, it is easy to
understand but the general Muslim belief says it to be too difficult to be understood by all the people except two three or handful of Ulama. j) Quran says so many times in no uncertain terms, not to accept any other Book or source besides Quran but the Muslims under the influence of Ulama firmly believe in an array of various ‘shariah’ ‘hadith’ books. k) Quran is silent on Music but they say it is haram. l) Quran is silent on Portrait making or photography but they say it to be haram. m) Quran does say that Hazrat Suleiman ‘…ordered jinns to construct palaces and statues…’ but they say statue making is haram. n) Quran says that the Angels ‘…singing in praise of Allah…’ but they say singing is haram. o) Quran says that ‘…those who are dead and in graves
cannot listen or talk…’ but they say ‘…when visiting the graves say ‘salam’ to the dead and they shall listen and reply’ p) Quran is absolutely silent on coming of Mahdi but it is generally believed to be true. q) Quran does not mention the second coming of Jesus but Ulama believed this to happen. r) Quran prevents to follow ‘…others as friends or protectors other than Allah…’ but paradoxically the reality is at odds. s) Quran says that blind following of Ulama, Mullah, Mufti tantamount to Shirk but everybody knows that their blind following is rampant. t) Quran says ‘…all the righteous monotheists including Muslims, Jews, Christians and others would be pardoned in hereafter…’ but the Ulama say only Muslims would enter
the Jannah u) Quran strongly says nobody even the Prophet, has any knowledge of unseen or future but the Ulama and the Ummah believe in Faal, Istakhara, Muraqbah and what not including a chain of foretold things attributed to the Prophet. v) Quran tells us that the companions of the cave accompanied a ‘dog’ and also permits to eat the meat of an animal caught by a hunting dog but Ulema dwelling on other sources claim the dog to be an unclean animal. w) Quran is silent on any miracles other than Quran itself to have been given or performed by the Prophet but the Ulama attribute a series of such miracles to the Prophet. x) Quran says dead meat to be haram but the Ulama using other sources say the dead fish and locust meat is halal. y) Quran unambiguously tells us ‘…after the divorce not to prevent
the women to remarry their former husbands…’ but Ulama say Halala is compulsory. z) Quran says that even the Prophet can’t change the Quran but the Ulama are always armed with other sources to change it. …and much more of such things, either we, the Muslims, don’t obey what is written in the Quran or do or believe in number of things on which the holy Quran does not say anything. If the Muslims are so much defiant, resistive, disobedient, confused and almost agnostical in following God sent Quran then how could they be expected to remain faithful to man-made Hadith;YES, but only to rearrest the liberties granted to the common people by the Quran. The Muslims are an exceptionally weird people. They don’t mean what they say but much of the time they do say what they don’t mean. SHARIQ.

RE: Boycott Israel [IslamCity] University in Egypt embroiled in b attle of the veil

2006-10-25 Thread M. Malhar

Veiling is not an old Bedouin tradition.
If someone thinks so, it's ignorance.

Please refer the following to know the
understanding of our beloved Sahabi women and mothers of the believers (may
Allah please with them). May Allah save us from the people of desire!

Allaah says
(interpretation of the meaning):

And tell the
believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their
private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment
except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the
way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress like veil, gloves, headcover,
apron), and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna
(i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms) and not to reveal their adornment
except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband's fathers,
or their sons, or their husband's sons, or their brothers or their
brother's sons,or their sister's sons, or their (Muslim) women
(i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands
posses, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no
sense of feminine sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what
they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O
believers, that you may be successful. [al-Noor
24:31]

Drawing the veil all over the juyoob
implies covering the face.

When Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased
with him) was asked about the aayah (interpretation of the meaning):

O Prophet! Tell
your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their
cloaks (veils) all over their bodies
[al-Ahzaab 33:59] -

he covered his face,
leaving only one eye showing. This indicates that what was meant by the aayah
was covering the face. This was the interpretation of Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allaah
be pleased with him) of this aayah, as narrated from him by 'Ubaydah al-Salmaani
when he asked him about it.

Sahih
Al-Bukhari, vol.6, Hadith No: 282

Narrated by Aishah (Radhiallahu Anha)

"May Allah bestow
His Mercy on the early emigrant women. When Allah
revealed:

"And to draw their veils all over Juyubihina
(i.e. their bodies, faces, necks, and bosoms)" - they tore their Muruts
(a woolen dress, or a waist-binding cloth or an apron) and covered their heads and faces with those torn Muruts."

Allah knows best.

University in Egypt embroiled in battle of the veil

Former Islamic law dean says Koran does not say women must cover faces, it's
old Bedouin tradition.

http://www.middle-east-online.com/english/?id=17949
By Alain Navarro - HELWAN, Egypt

Egyptian students whose faces are completely hidden
behind the veil have been banished from the residence halls at Helwan
University under threat of expulsion in what could be called the battle of the
veil.

They say nothing to indecent girls, but we -- the daughters of Islam --
are being hounded, protests 21-year-old student Iman Ahmed. Only her eyes
are showing through the slit in her black face veil, called a niqab.

Even though the vast majority of female Muslim students already wear the
headscarf, known as a hijab, those who chose more cover up of the face veil
were told to take it off or quit the student digs.

The ultimatum provoked a vicious controversy.

It was handed down by Abdel al-Hay Ebaid, dean of Helwan University located on
the edge of a large industrial estate 30 kilometres (19 miles) from Cairo. Some
2,800 female students are housed in the seven women's residence halls.

What I want is to protect students against those individuals who might
worm their way in, disguised under a face veil, Ebaid says of the ban,
adding: Their parents would kill me if a man infiltrated the women's
halls.

Those in the anti-veil camp are congratulating themselves that the brake has
been put on fanaticism, while those who support the veil say the ultimatum is
an invasion of their freedom.

This ban restricts my freedom, says student teacher Rihan Sami, 21,
completely veiled and gloved.

The veil is my choice... in battling against the shamelessness that
abounds here.

In order to gain access to the campus, girls wearing the full veil must pass
through a small office where a woman inspector checks them behind a curtain to
verify their identities against a list of registered students.

They only have to do the same thing for the halls of residence,
argues Sami, adding that she decided to no longer wear the veil there in order
to avoid being expelled.

Demonstrations against the ban were quickly staged by a committee of free
students.

The veil may be everywhere on campus, but there are many

Bismillah, As Salaam Alaikum,This is a great step towards ending the esculation Muslim against Muslim blood bath in Iraq. Although the Iraq situation sparked this fatwah, The principles involved can be and should be applied to any Muslim Versus Muslim conflicts. The Muslim Golden Rule is " Love for your Brother, what you love for yourself." It is much like the Christian Golden Rule of "Love thy neighbor as you love yourself."So these types of conflicts includes those where Muslims punish other Muslims while oppressing their Allah endowed, inalienable rights, without using the principles, processes and procedures of Sharia Law to prove them guilty of any punishable offense. In particular, this applies to situations where masjid officials abuse their power and positions of authority to practice dictatorial
banishment, and block the Muslims universal right and indeed obligation to worship in congregational prayer, in the masjid of their choice, anywhere in the world. Peace, Curtis Sharif Houston, TexasExcerpts:"The declaration states that no follower of either school may expel or declare another an unbeliever or in any other way cast aspersions on the faith of a follower of a different school. The grounds for the ruling are based on a statement by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): “If ever one of you calls his brother, "You infidel", one of them shall come out the infidel and bear the onus thereof.”"The declaration reiterates that all houses of worship are sacrosanct, including mosques and non-Muslim houses of worship of all faiths and religions. “Therefore,” the declaration states that, “these places of worship may
not be attacked, appropriated, or in any other way used as a haven to perpetrate acts in contravention of Shariah.”The declaration rules that certain things and principles should never be forfeited, including, in particular, unity, cohesion, cooperation and solidarity in piety and righteousness. “It is incumbent upon all Muslims to adopt caution and vigilance against all attempts to sow division among them, break their ranks, or incite sedition, strife, and hatred in order to corrupt their divine and spiritual bonds with each other.” Zulfiqar Malik [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:

(AN photo by Khidr Al-Zahrani) MAKKAH, 22 October 2006 — Prominent Shiite and Sunni religious scholars from Iraq took the first major step in decades toward mutual recognition at a historic meeting in Makkah yesterday. In a joint declaration, signed at Al-Safa Palace
overlooking the Holy Kaaba, the religious scholars called for a complete end to the sectarian killings in Iraq that have recently assumed horrific proportions.Meeting under the auspices of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, the Shiite and Sunni scholars called on Iraqis in unambiguous terms to stand united in protecting the independence, unity and territorial integrity of their country. “This is necessary,” they said, “in order to put an end to the (foreign) occupation and restore and reinstate Iraq’s Arab-Islamic role.”The declaration produced by the scholars contains a ruling which clearly forbids Shiites and Sunnis from killing each other. Essentially a fatwa, the ruling is based on eight key points. The most important is: “The Muslim is he who professes his faith by proclaiming ‘Lailaha Illallah Muhammad Rasulullah’ (There is no god but Allah and
Muhammad is His Prophet). By this statement, the Muslim embraces and accepts the five pillars of Islam and the central tenets of its faith, thus rendering his blood and property inviolable.”“These fundamental principles,” the declaration said, “apply equally to the Sunni and the Shiite without exception. The differences between the two schools of thought are merely differences of opinion and interpretation and not essential differences of faith.”The declaration states that no follower of either school may expel or declare another an unbeliever or in any other way cast aspersions on the faith of a follower of a different school. The grounds for the ruling are based on a statement by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): “If ever one of you calls his brother: You infidel, one of them shall come out the infidel and bear the onus thereof.”The declaration reiterates that all houses

{Invite (mankind, O Muhammad ) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'an) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.} (Holy Quran-16:125)

{And who is better in speech than he who [says: My Lord is Allah (believes in His Oneness), and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allah's (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: I am one of the Muslims.} (Holy Quran-41:33)

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: By Allah, if Allah guides one person by you, it is better for you than the best types of camels. [al-Bukhaaree, Muslim]

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said, Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all. [Muslim, Ahmad, Aboo Daawood, an-Nasaa'ee, at-Tirmidhee, Ibn Maajah]

Boycott Israel [IslamCity] Makkah Pact Forbids Shiite-Sunni Killings

2006-10-25 Thread G.Waleed Kavalec

http://www.arabnews.com/?page=4section=0article=86978d=22m=10y=2006Makkah Pact Forbids Shiite-Sunni Killings
Siraj Wahab, Arab NewsOIC Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu with prominent Iraqi Shiite and Sunni scholars after the signing of the historic reconciliation declaration at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah early on Saturday. (AN photo by Khidr Al-Zahrani) MAKKAH, 22 October 2006 — Prominent Shiite and Sunni religious scholars from Iraq took the first major step in decades toward mutual recognition at a historic meeting in Makkah yesterday.
In a joint declaration, signed at Al-Safa Palace overlooking the Holy Kaaba, the religious scholars called for a complete end to the sectarian killings in Iraq that have recently assumed horrific proportions.
Meeting under the auspices of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, the Shiite and Sunni scholars called on Iraqis in unambiguous terms to stand united in protecting the independence, unity and territorial integrity of their country. "This is necessary," they said, "in order to put an end to the (foreign) occupation and restore and reinstate Iraq's Arab-Islamic role."
The declaration produced by the scholars contains a ruling which clearly forbids Shiites and Sunnis from killing each other. Essentially a fatwa, the ruling is based on eight key points. The most important is: "The Muslim is he who professes his faith by proclaiming 'Lailaha Illallah Muhammad Rasulullah' (There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His Prophet). By this statement, the Muslim embraces and accepts the five pillars of Islam and the central tenets of its faith, thus rendering his blood and property inviolable."
"These fundamental principles," the declaration said, "apply equally to the Sunni and the Shiite without exception. The differences between the two schools of thought are merely differences of opinion and interpretation and not essential differences of faith."
The declaration states that no follower of either school may expel or declare another an unbeliever or in any other way cast aspersions on the faith of a follower of a different school. The grounds for the ruling are based on a statement by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): "If ever one of you calls his brother: You infidel, one of them shall come out the infidel and bear the onus thereof."
The declaration reiterates that all houses of worship are sacrosanct, including mosques and non-Muslim houses of worship of all faiths and religions. "Therefore," the declaration states that, "these places of worship may not be attacked, appropriated, or in any other way used as a haven to perpetrate acts in contravention of Shariah."
The declaration rules that certain things and principles should never be forfeited, including, in particular, unity, cohesion, cooperation and solidarity in piety and righteousness. "It is incumbent upon all Muslims to adopt caution and vigilance against all attempts to sow division among them, break their ranks, or incite sedition, strife, and hatred in order to corrupt their divine and spiritual bonds with each other."
The scholars appealed to all Muslim scholars to support the ruling and urged the Muslims of Iraq to adhere to it. "We pray to Almighty God, on this sacred soil and blessed grounds, to protect and preserve the faith of all Muslims, ensure the safety of our homeland, and bring the Arab-Muslim country of Iraq out of its plight, end its trials and tribulations, and reinstate Iraq as a fortress and pillar of the Muslim Ummah in the face of its enemies."
Prominent among the 28 signatories of the declaration are Sheikh Ahmad Abdul Ghafour Al-Samarai, Sheikh Jalaludeen Al-Saghir, Sheikh Dr. Salah Abdul Razaq, Sheikh Abdul Satar Abdul Jabbar Abbas, Sheikh Dr. Mahmoud Al-Samidai, Syed Muhammad Al-Haideri and Sheikh Dr. Syed Muhammad Bahar Al-Uloom. The signing was witnessed by Sheikh Muhammad Habib Ben El-Khoja, secretary-general of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, Sheikh Muhammad Ali Al-Taskhiri, a member of the academy, and Dr. Muhammad Salim El-Awa, adviser to the OIC secretary-general.
The declaration has received full approval and endorsement from key Shiite and Sunni leadership, most notably from Sheikh Muhammad Syed Tantawi, Grand Ayatollah Ali Al-Sistani, Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, Adnan Al-Dulaimi and Sheikh Salah Al-Deen Kuftaro.
The key person behind the Shiite-Sunni reconciliation initiative was undoubtedly OIC Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu. "Today is one of God's blessed and historic days," he said after the declaration had been signed.
"It is a day when eminent and benevolent Muslim scholars have strived to reach an agreement to stem the bloodshed in Iraq, to stop the killing of innocent Iraqis and to end the suffering of our Iraqi brethren," Ihsanoglu said.
He said the OIC was conscious of its responsibility toward God, the Islamic Ummah and history. "We have felt duty-bound to put in a particular effort to
