I tried this.

1) Set AutoFill DataSeries:automatic to F3
2) autofill by drag the active frame
3) in a new row enter MO
4) mark MO and some other fields below
=> the previous markings are highlighted.

This seems the same as Regina experienced in her last test.

[Issue 127968] New: 4.1.6 version Calc keeps Crashing/needs Document recovery every time

2018-12-20 Thread bugzilla
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127968

  Issue ID: 127968
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: 4.1.6 version Calc keeps Crashing/needs Document
recovery every time
   Product: Calc
   Version: 4.1.6
  Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 10
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: Major
  Priority: P5 (lowest)
 Component: viewing
  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
  Reporter: jgpett...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

My problems with the Apache OpenOffice Calc program crashing many times at each
usage started in the last version. I hoped the 4.1.6 version would clear that
up. I have to save after every 2-3 field entries hoping to beat the crash. The
document usually is never fully recovered even if it crashes after the very
next time I manually save then enter something (a letter, number, currency,
format cell pretty much is all I do...the most very basic stuff) in a new cell.
I save only to my document folder on my laptop and back up on my flash drive at
each manual save...that is if I can get both manual saves in before the program
crashes. I DID UNINSTALL Apache OpenOffice AFTER updating it to 4.1.6 as well
as uninstalled again once more AFTER defragging, clearing cache, cleaning disk,
clearing history, virus scan, and probably a few more things I forgot to
mention. So, long story short, what else could/should I do or are there more
Bugs needing to be fixed? Thank you.

An observation that pertains to Apple only: interacting with AOO using the Java
archives (juh.jar, unoil.jar, ridl.jar, jurt.jar) from Java now causes a
runtime exception on Apple with Java 9. This used to work in the past (a simple
application which creates a swriter document and enters text into it) and works
on other platforms (tested successfully on Windows and Linux with AOO 4.1.6).

Not sure whether this is the Apple AOO or the Java responsibility (it used to
work in the past years).

Here the trace of the exception (RexxDispatcher.java is the Java program that
will invoke the ooRexx scripting engine which itself uses a Java bridge that
interacts with AOO via Java):

[Issue 127965] New: MacOS: PATH wrongly set for scripts

2018-12-20 Thread bugzilla
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127965

  Issue ID: 127965
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: MacOS: PATH wrongly set for scripts
   Product: App Dev
   Version: 4.1.6
  Hardware: Mac
OS: Mac OS X, all
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: Critical
  Priority: P5 (lowest)
 Component: scripting
  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
  Reporter: rony.flatsc...@wu-wien.ac.at
  Target Milestone: ---

A long standing ScriptProviderForooRexx.oxt stopped working when testing it
against 4.1.6 due to the fact, that the PATH environment variable for scripts
dispatched via AOO 4.1.6 contains the following directories and is missing
"/usr/local/bin":

   .:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin

Apple has been forcing third-parties to install their executables to
"/usr/local/bin" (e.g. cf. ).

Preferably setting the PATH to the user's PATH value would remedy this critical
problem best (like AOO on Linux).

Second best choice would be to add at least the directory "/usr/local/bin" to
the PATH.

Unlike Linux the MacOSX 4.1.6 version of AOO runs dispatched scripts/macros in

The scripts should have the current directory set to "$HOME" (will be

[Issue 125006] Calc Consistently crashing, usually with "Fatal Error - Bad Allocation"

Hi everybody, its the first time I wanted to report a bug. But I found this
one, which fits pretty good. So I hope I don't do any wrong.

I've got the same behavior of OO (portable, W10, 64bit) since an update of
Windows in august 2018. Till then it worked perfect, since then it crashes more
or less often, from once an hour to once in a few Minutes. I cannot find any
correlation to the prevailing conditions of the system or to what I was doing
in calc before the crash. It just happens so to speak.

A couple of weeks ago I tried different versions of portable OO4.15 (selfmade,
portableApps and winpenpack). The behavior of all these was basically the same.
Then I changed to 4.16 (AOO416m1(Build:9790) - Rev. 1844436
2018-10-23 12:57). For a couple of days it worked fine (NO crash at all). But
then, again after an update of W10, the crashing-issue came back. Sometimes it
crashes just ro restart instantly, sometimes it crashes with "bad allocation"
message and vanishes completely...again, no clue why sometimes so and sometimes
so.
