I have found that F8 will select a whole table for copying and pasting
elsewhere. I use T to get to the first line of a table I wish to copy
and then up arrow once to get to the line where it announces the number of
columns and rows. Press F8 here and it will select the whole table so you
can then copy it and paste it into a Word doc or an Excel spreadsheet.
I find it especially useful for my banking site. I copy the table of recent
transactions and paste them into a spreadsheet that now dates back to Feb.

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] blind youtube

ok, a thing or two about these links.
http://tube.majestyc.net/
The first one you have to search for anything to watch.
Witch means you get no list of recent videos, types of channels, no
subscribed content, and not sanction by youTube or google there owner.
I really don't see what makes it more assessable out side of the play
button being a link you can tab to. on the real youtube site. The
videos don't play auto unless you click on one to watch. Witch is how
flash works, and there is a play and pause button. You just have to
arrow to it, still accessible.
Now for the second link.
http://gb.cs.unc.edu/sway/
This is used with switch technology, and is firefox only plugin.
This means that only a switch box will take use of this. So unless
the only way you have to use is by pushing 1 or 2 switches for your
tasks. Then this would work perfect for you.
mac makes great use of this technology along with the way there system
works.
Like I said bon here. Have had a youTube account for about 4 months
now, lots of subscribed content, my own channel and ones I get the
recording vids down. They will be posted up there too.
Not hard doing the recordings. The hard part is knowing just where
the sweet spot is for making those vids. So head or what ever showing
is on center and not cut off. The other part is doing the editing of
the vids. The software is useable, its just learning it. never
thought about doing vids, so mostly did all sound stuff.
So I really don't see what is not assessable about youtube? Jaws and
just about any other screen reader will work with it and mac works
very well with it on any browser.
If your thoughts are on flash. Well take that up with adobe, because
they stated they see no use to make it assessable for any reason!

Re: [JAWS-Users] facebook tutorials

2009-12-30 Thread Ann M. Medlar

Hi Erin,
Good info on tutorial. I am Unsure how you navigated from heading to
heading, I'll assume you typed the letter h? Yes?
I only listened to part 1. I'll listen to part 2 at a later time today or
tomorrow.
Maybe my questions will be answered by reading the application part on
Facebook or in part 2.
Anyway, I had a photo on profile which I have no idea how it got there. My
friend sent me a photo in Facebook and suggested that I use it on my
profile. I ignored this message and photo.
A few days later, I did post a message to my wall and a friend sent a
message to ask me who was other person in my profile photo.
When I was on the mobile site I deleted this photo; Facebook confirmed
deletion.
However, it still showed on the Facebook site. So my question is that if
you want to change anything on profile do I need to be on Facebook and not
the mobile site for changes to occur?
I also noticed that when on mobile facebook site, when I delete messages
either sent privately or on wall that messages are deleted from mobile
facebook but still appear on Facebook.

So do all changes need to done on Facebook site?
Thanks,
Ann

The JAWSKey+1 Keyboard help facility is there for all sorts, and the
explanations offered there for what the various keystrokes do are
usually right on, often better than those we could come up with. It is
by trial and error, believe it or not, that we
learn these things. We don't always know off the cuff, either. Your

I just reviewed the script and it would seem to me that only the line

When I tried to compile the Jaws V9 reply to sender script in to v11 I got a
field line error message. I deleted all of the v11 reply to sender script
and copied the v9 script deleting the close window line. Should I have
deleted any other line in this script before I try to compile it? It is a
learning challenge and I welcome the challenge. You are right David that it
isn't that difficult to follow your tutorial but I am obviously doing
something wrong? (smile)

Re: [JAWS-Users] question about moving to dongle license

2009-12-30 Thread Tim
Once you begin using the Dongle you will no longer be able to reauthorize
JAWS online the way you do now. The Dongle is an external device that you
will always have to have plugged into your computer. You cannot merely copy
the file to your hard drive. I wish you the best but it is for this reason
that I am considering alternatives to JAWS as a screen reader. When I am
attending school on campus I do not want to worry about losing the Dongle
somewhere and I also do not want to worry about reauthorizations. Hello
Window Eyes from G. W. Micro.

Hi
Well, it isn't software but the Bible Gate Way website is very blind
friendly.

http://www.biblegateway.com
It has several versions of the Bible and you can search by word or phrase.
You can also type in a verse such as John 3:16 and it will bring it up as
well.
