Hi, Are any of you Star Trek Deep Space 9 fans? If so, have you found a way to have Jaws pronounce the homeworld of the Ferengi correctly? It is spelled: Ferenginar. [JAWS-Users] re Office 2010
I would recommend Office 2007. I have Office 2010 Home and Student on my computer with Windows 7,64 bit and JAWS 11 or 12 beta does not work with Office Excel 2010. The Jaws scripts for Excel do not load. I have reported this to Freedom Scientific and the support staff on their phone line took note of the problem and could not fix it. Hopefully it will be fixed in the final edition of Jaws 12 when released. Jaws 11 and 12 beta seems to work well with Office Word 2010. Re: [JAWS-Users] Research It for JAWS 11 (Last securitybuild)notworking
Jaws interacts mainly with the computer, but some of it's modules as update, tandem, research it, authorization need internet access. the firewall controls what software is accessing internet and if a software tries to access your PC. Usually all those modules need to be allowed sepretly through the firewall. If research it asked you for access, but you didn't sea or allow it, it won't function right. First let us know if you have a active firewall and what is it. So jaws may work, but you may expirience some problems as you do now. The firewall may not be the problem, but it's a possibility. [JAWS-Users] system tray
I find it interesting and puzzling that the only thing that shows up in my system tray is Dropbox. I have told JAWS to reside in my system tray, as well as Volume, but neither of the latter show up in the system tray. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks. Hi Bob Yes my Son is using it on his lap top and finds the interface better than the previous version but as all new releases I expect the they will find holes in it after release of the full version. Then patches will follow. A very trusted tech friend, informed me that now, Microsoft Security Essentials, is the best way to go. He said that many times programs seem to become bloated, growing larger as you use them and they add more to their program and can slow down your processor. Awhile back I heard much talk about, Microsoft Security Essentials, on this list. Would someone send some information on this? Possibly a link to the program? Lastly, is it safe to uninstall AVG just using the uninstall on the program itself? Thank you Russ P.S. I look forward to your daily tips!
