[JAWS-Users] syncing outlook wihth braille display

2016-07-10 Thread Kimsan
I'm taking a gamble here hoping this is on topic as it involves outlook so
here goes. I'm trying to sync my outlook with my braille sense u2, but In
the manual it states:

A list of functions appears on your computer. Each functionn has a
check box located next to it. Make sure no check boxes other than the
"Contacts"

and "Calendar" check boxes are checked, as synchronization of Calendar and
Contacts is all that is currently supported on the U2. You may choose to
check

"Contacts", "Calendar", or both, depending on your preference. After
setting your preferences, press "next". A dialog box appears displaying,
"setup complete."

Tab to the "finish" button and press "Enter".

I'm only able to check "files" and the calendar and contact checkboxes are
read only. Thoughts?

I'm using outlook 2016 and windows 10. This also occurred with outlook 2013
and windows 10. I'm also using windows mobile device center which I hate
that program when using jaws. Not sure about other screen readers lol.

Hi Tom,
I see that Kimsan has already re-posted the original message, and you can
post the link to other lists.
Everything on the jaws-users website is available to anyone, not just this
list.
But we do appreciate your thoughtfulness in asking!

I apologize in advance for troubling you and the list, but could you please
re-post the link you just sent out for the dropbox tutorial?

For some reason, the original e-mail appeared in my spam file, and got got
lost when I attempted to move it into my inbox for future reference.

Also, how might I obtain permission to post this link to a blind ham radio
operators list to which I belong.

A number of people on that list are working with dropbox as well, and the
tutorial likely would be helpful to them.

Thank you!

Hi Miriam,
If you want to get the website address from a saved favorite, do the
following:
1. Select the favorite in question, and press alt + enter.
This will open the properties of that favorite.
2. The first item displayed is the web address , and it is already
highlighted, so just copy it to the clipboard.
3. Now you can paste that address into any e-mail, text file or document.

[JAWS-Users] Copying outlook.pst and account info to a new computer

2016-07-10 Thread Greg Washington
I have five email accounts and many saved emails organized in many folders
and subfolders in my In box in Outlook 2010. I want to transfer them to a
new computer which also is running Windows 10 and delete them from my old
Windows 10 computer so I can give it to someone else to use. How can I do
that? If I set up a home group network between the two computers, which I
also do not know how to do, would that make the process easier? Both
computers are currently running latest Jaws 17.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

using Excel 2010 and JAWS 16, is there a way to have the coordinates
spoken before the contents?
e.g. c2, blank, instead of blank, c2.
I've tried looking thru the quick settings, and in the Reading Options,
there is Cell Verbosity but the only choices are either Content +
Coordinates or Content Only. funny thing, 1 of 6 is announced after
pressing space bar to toggle between the two.

Annette,

Then I'm surprised. I would not expect there to be any difference in how
JAWS 17 offers reading options between Excel 2007 and Excel 2010. I found
the cell verbosity toggle under Reading Options. Do you see that in the
Quick Settings list? Again, this is being access via Insert+V when Excel is
the program with focus.
