www.sdbullion.com has the same problem. I asked one of their customer support

In these cases, we just have to hang up our independence and take down the

Sometimes, you can try object character recognition in Jaws, then
left-clicking the result.

Insert-Space, then O, then W. When the results come up, if you see a Buy

This is the procedure I use a lot. Sometimes these webmasters use
fancy DHTML coding for displaying important buttons at the very
bottom of the web page. The only way JAWS can see these buttons are
in OCR mode.

Judy, for what it's worth, I agree with you. This is why I never
tried learning WindowEyes, because it was so different from JAWS.
Unfortunately, we will have to struggle with the problem until
universal accessibility is mandated, which may not be for a long

sighted want, because we are a small minority. However, we have
made some strides, thanks to the sighted, i.e. greater access to

No, not at all. 1st of all, does your friend have the computer in laptop
keyboard mode? There are laptop keystrokes to do all that. Does this
laptop have the arrow keys, & the 6 pack of keys to the right of the enter
key? The, Okay, option could be a button, which can be navigated to by
pressing the letter, B. Have your friend look in Jaws help for the rest of
the laptop keystrokes to do what he needs to do.
Take care, Mike.

Well from the looks of things, you have to press the up and down arrows to
cycle through the different options such as mp3 and mp3 pro, wma, ogg
vorbus, Etc. Then press the left-mouse button on the numpad to select it,
then scroll down to the bottom of the window and click ok in order to move
on to the next part of the setup process. I can do that, cause I have a full
keyboard, but with a laptop layout, I guess you'd have to play it by ear

He needs the commands that allow you to select mp3 and mp3 pro, and the
command that allows you to click on the ok button to get to the
configuration window, where you can select server details, archive streaming
Etc. The only problem is, the keyboard on his Acer machine doesn't come with
a numpad.

Here's the best cross fading plug-in I've used for doing exactly what

SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading 1.7

It is 100% accessible to JAWS too. Just install it and then enable it

Re: [JAWS-Users] question about shopping

2017-05-20 Thread Dave ...
Judy,

First use Insert+F5 to bring up a list of the controls, and arrow to that
button.
Press enter.
Without using any tab or arrow keys, route JAWS to cursor.
Press the Numpad Slash key to emulate a left mouse click.

If that doesn't work, then follow all the steps above but instead of using
the numpad slash button, use an actual mouse or touchpad to click on its
left button.

What browser are you using? Use Firefox, and you should see those buttons.
Also, you need to be at the right level in the process, to see those
buttons. (In this connection, you will have to click on the candidate

Hi

As was said, the demo version of JAWS is the same code as a production copy.
But since the demo version is running in 40 minute mode, if changes are not
saved before the time runs out, it's possible that JAWS does not save
anything after the time has run out. So make the changes and then restart
JAWS before the time runs out to make sure they have been saved.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Demo Version of Jaws was turn off function keys?

As far as I know, a demo version is a fully functioning version of Jaws, the
only limit is the forty minute mode, but other than that, you should be able
to change the settings, save those changes and the like and continue using
it in forty minute mode until you get the unlock code.

i am still waiting for the unlock key.
but if these options do not work as a demo it does not give me any messages

at least with window eyes i can make changes to the settings running as a

jaws will not. thats the problem.
the settings go through the mosion of makeing changes to the keyboard labels
and show they have been saved. but they are not. no changes are acted upon

i tried running jaws as administrator in the desktop icon. but when it runes
both jaws and the ease of access center also runs. the muted keys still

From: Mike B
Try the following:
1. Open the Settings Center with, Insert + 6 on the number row, & press,
Control, Shift + D, to open Settings Center Default All Applications.
2. Arrow down to, Keyboard, & press right arrow to open.
3. Arrow down to, Manage Key Labels, & press the spacebar to open.
Note: Do not press enter, pressing enter will close the Settings Center.
4. After pressing the spacebar you will be in a list of keys. Arrow down to
the key you want to mute, & Tab 1 time to the, Toggle Mute Button, & press
the spacebar to mute. You'll hear Jaws announce, for example the Tab key,
Tab Tab mute.
5. Tab to, Okay, press the spacebar, tab to, Apply, press the spacebar, tab

Take care.

Tom,

I've noticed a new so-called feature in Yahoo mail with regard more
security. It seems that the Yahoo servers will not work with some email
clients unless you explicitly set the Yahoo web mail settings to allow a
less-secure client to be used. It's caused me untold headaches, in
particular trying to find the mysterious checkmark hidden in the bowels of
the Yahoo web mail interface, somewhere under settings or preferences. If
you run into problems setting up your WLM it might be related to this
annoyance.

Let us know if you run into that, and how you managed to release the
restrictions -- then I can possibly get it done myself.

Judy, for what it's worth, I agree with you. This is why I never tried
learning WindowEyes, because it was so different from JAWS.
Unfortunately, we will have to struggle with the problem until universal
accessibility is mandated, which may not be for a long time, or till the
sighted want it. It's always based on what the sighted want, because we
are a small minority. However, we have made some strides, thanks to the
sighted, i.e. greater access to audio books, because the sighted decided
they liked them.

Wish there was a Google Chrome add-on available that would
automatically toggle the autoplay feature of all Flash and Html 5 web
players to off. If you go to a page that you do want to have the web
player autoplay function enabled, press a shortcut key combination
and it would be enabled for that visit only.

Guess someone out there will get around to creating such an add-on
like this one day. Would make surfing some sites with JAWS so much
easier (And quieter.)

any of these options block this embedded media? If so, which option?

Alternatively, is there an extension or add-on that might work to

First of all, can anyone tell me what is being used to play these

Someone enlightened me to the fact that control-m will stop

Finally, is there anything in any of the browsers' settings that
will block this background media? I saw something in IE that
*might* do it, but I'm not sure. I couldn't find anything in
either Firefox or Chrome that seemed to have anything to do with this.

If it matters, I'm running JAWS 18 on Windows 10 Anniversary Home

Well from the looks of things, you have to press the up and down arrows to
cycle through the different options such as mp3 and mp3 pro, wma, ogg
vorbus, Etc. Then press the left-mouse button on the numpad to select it,
then scroll down to the bottom of the window and click ok in order to move
on to the next part of the setup process. I can do that, cause I have a full
keyboard, but with a laptop layout, I guess you'd have to play it by ear

That's what the list is trying to find out, what commands? Are they
checkboxes, radio buttons, comboboxes, buttons, left / right mouse clicks,
or do they require a 2 or 5 pound ball-peen hammer? LOL
Take care.

He needs the commands that allow you to select mp3 and mp3 pro, and the
command that allows you to click on the ok button to get to the
configuration window, where you can select server details, archive streaming
Etc. The only problem is, the keyboard on his Acer machine doesn't come with
a numpad.

Hi Mike,

What keystrokes does your friend need from the numpad? Jaws has, numpad
equivalent keystrokes for laptop users that don't have numpads, but since I
don't know didley about using a laptop I can't help y'all with the correct
keystrokes. If you post what you need I'm sure someone will be able to come

through with the keystrokes needed.
Take care.

Hello everyone,

I'm helping a friend to setup the sam encoders using Jaws. But his Laptop
has no numpad. Therefore, he can't select mp3 and mp3 pro and press the ok
button to select it. Any ideas as to how to get around this?

Mike
