Has anyone else had this? Is it real? Now everytime I send a messege I have
to put in my password. I am using jaws 17, windows 8 and I think outlook
2010

Can someone help me so I do not have to put in  apassword everytime I want
to send a messege..

In Widows 10, I believe it's in the Ease of Access, or Accessibility you 
need to have the version of Jaws checked that you want as your default.  I 
can't tell you exactly where because I don't have a Widows 10 computer at

Also I have notice that when I start my pc and jaws come on automatically it

starts Jaws 18 instead of Jaws 2018. I have gone into both Jaws 18 and made 
sure it is stet to not start on startup and have check to make sure Jaws
22018 is set to start up on start up.  Both my W10 computers are doing the 
same thing. Any ideas what is going on?

It is nice JAWS to offer many so different built-in schemes and, in case
none of them suit our needs, the capability of configuring each aspect of a
scheme.
For dayly use, I'm right with the Classic scheme with only one (technically
six) modification: instead of hearing heading level numbers, I configured
the Classic scheme to play a different piano note depending on the specific
heading level, therefore navigating by headings or reading documents with
many titles is faster.
Since I rarely need JAWS to report each attribute or font change in a text
(usually INSERT+F for specific parts is enough), I'm not confident with
Proofreading-like schemes that indicate changes simply by reading the
affected with another voice or pitch. For these cases, I prefer built-in
variants of the Classic Scheme instead.

Regarding Word changing automatically superscripts, subscripts and many
other things, I find useful to have the Provide Feedback with Sound option
checked. On this topic, it plays a Liquid Paper sound when Word changes
something automatically, and a thighter one when you place your caret over
a text which was modified automatically, although in this case by default
JAWS say “Smart tag: Undo automatic actions,” which indicate you can press
ALT+SHIFT+F10 to open a context menu related to the correction made.

Did you try deleting the old jaws18 shortcut so only jaws2018 is on your 
desktop? This was a last resort for me, but I was having some major jaws 
issues. I reset the computer telling it to delete all files and apps and stuff, 
after that everything behaved as normal.

I noticed on the internet if I am writing in a comments field, NVDA tells me it 
is a multiline edit, whereas Jaws just says edit. Can this be changed somehow 
so jaws tells me the different types of edit fields more clearly? Also in 
windows mail, when I read a message, then press escape, I always have to shift 
tab back to the imbox. Can this be changed somehow so I am placed back into the 
inbox or message list right away? This issue seems to not be screen reader 
specific though. 
And also in windows mail. When in the message body, jaws just says message. Is 
there a way to have jaws indicate this is an edit box or document input area? 
Finally, a number of years ago, vict consultancy was working on a windows 
accessibility helper called at prime, this would let all screen readers access 
information and stuff on the screen that normally was not visible to screen 
readers. I would love to see VFO take over at prime and maybe either 
incorporate it into jaws, or sell it as a separate product. This way jaws could 
read and access even more on screen information.

turn Jaws off and press the hotkey it starts Jaws 18 instead of Jaws 2018
even though I do not have a hotkey in Jaws 18. This is doing the same thing
on both my computers. The reason I notice this was after installing the
latest May update to Jaws I reset the hotkey and tried it and figured out it
was starting Jaws 18 instead of Jaws 2018. Does anyone know why this is
happening on both my computers? Does anyone know how to correct this or is
this happening on some ones else computer?
