Mike, This second method no longer works in Word 2016, and Brian Lee indicated it doesn't in 2013. It used to work in 2003. It only started for me with my most recent Win10 update, but it's very annoying. Think a driver reinstall might fix that too? I had this problem right after updating to the 1803 version of Windows but a simple shut down and boot up stopped the behavior. Don't know if it will work for you or if you have updated so it might not help. Hi Using an ASUS laptop with Jaws 2018 and windows 10. There seems to be a delay with Jaws when carrying out any process. For instance if I use alt f4 command Jaws just says 4, when starting to type Jaws will not say the first couple of keys typed, when using the control and cursor key to read word by word Jaws will not read the first word, this started about 2-3 weeks ago.
