A 2 stage dialogue opens. The default field is address. Paste the address from the desired web page into the address field and tab once to the next button and press space bar. 8. A second page opens and the default field says 'type a name for the shortcut.' Type in a recognizable name for the shortcut and tab to next and press space bar. 9. A finish button should appear. Hi Cristóbal, It appears that the only way to create a website shortcut for Firefox is to create a new shortcut on the desktop, and paste the URL for that site into the shortcut. Keep in mind this shortcut will only work if Firefox is your default browser. HTH, Rick Justice "Tomorrow's another day, another way!" Re: [JAWS-Users] Desktop Shortcuts With Firefox
Hi Adrian, I'm sorry, but I failed to mention that I run the portable version of Firefox ESR 52.8, and this doesn't appear in Start menu/ All Programs. There's a way of creating a desktop shortcut with the version I'm running, but it requires creating a new shortcut through the context menu with nothing selected on the desktop. I'm definitely going to save these steps in case I have to install Firefox to get the desired workability - Original Message - From: Adrian Spratt To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Tuesday, May 15, 2018 8:31 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Desktop Shortcuts With Firefox Hi, Mike.
