Maria, If possible, I would see about updating to the latest JAWS 9.0.2169 as there were other bug fixes, enhancements and features that will make the experience that much better. I'm successfully using Word and XL 2003 with JAWS 9 at home. However, at work they're about to switch to Word and XL 2007. Will I experience a great deal of difference using JAWS 8? Hi, the latest JAWS 8 began to support the Office 2007 ribbon interface, which is used throughout all Microsoft Office 2007 applications. I don't have 2007, however I heard it at a demonstration last year.
