Hi Ted,
Read this description of the View Menu keystrokes , and I think it'll answer
your question.
From: Brian Lee
You use CTRL with shift key and 8 you go into the content view. If you use
up and down arrow keys in this view you will only here the name of the file
and the right and left arrow keys will do nothing. You can read the current
line to get other header information. If you use CTRL with shift and 6 you
go into the details view. In the details view you hear one file at a time
but you can use the right arrow key to get more header information. One of
these views might be what you are wanting.
The numbers 1 through 8 go with the CTRL and shift keys to change views.
The numbers go in the order of the icons in the view menu as follows:
CTRL + SHIFT + 1 Extra Large icons,
CTRL + SHIFT + 2 Large Icons,
CTRL + SHIFT + 3 Medium Icons,
CTRL + SHIFT + 4 Small Icons,
CTRL + SHIFT + 5 List view,
CTRL + SHIFT + 6 Details view,
CTRL + SHIFT + 7 Tiles view,
CTRL + SHIFT + 8 Content view.
Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] changing folders to list or detail view
Dear List:
I updated from windows xp to windows ten. Now, how do I change a folder
view to either a list view or a detail view? When I use window-eyes and go
into my documents folder, window-eyes shows the file size and the date it
was modified. However, when using Jaws, the same files in the documents
folders will just give the name. So, how do I change it to a list or detail
view when using Jaws? Thanks. Regards: Ted Larson
