[JAWS-Users] netbook reports incorrect keystroke

2010-04-24 Thread Leonard Morris
When I try to use ctrl plus left arrow to go backward word by word in a
document jaws says route jaws to PC. However, ctrl right arrow to move
forward word by word in a document works correctly. How can I fix this?

Lenny! I passed your question on to a regular netbook user to get his
suggestions re solving your
problem. His reply is below my signature.

I'd start by reviewing the FS recommended settings for the operating
system if it is 98 or XP, because it sounds like some keys are being
misinterpreted. Making sure these recommendations are met usually provides a
better experience.

I know that I navigate in documents all the time with those commands on my
net book, and it works fine. In order to route jaws to PC, I press function
m plus p.

Would check the jaws setting for keyboard, and they haven't put win98
on anything in past 5 years. you either have xp, linix, hackintosh,
windows 7 starter or spent for retail version.
Also check how the fn key does, because it can change things around
on the keyboard. But, mostly when held down.

Win98? now thats funny!
