Hi, I posted this on the forum, but apparently it didn't make it though to the mailing-list... Is it possible to use the war's META-INF/context.xml to override the default session manager configuration? Hi, On JBoss 3.2.x, is it possible to deploy 2 Oracle DataSources, each one using a different version of the JDBC driver? If so, how? Because, when I include the driver jar-file with the scoped .ear, it gives me a ClassCast Exception. I need this, because Oracle JDBC driver 9.x (JDK 1.4) crashes on database version 8.0.x when using TimeStamps... (It's a known problem.) Thanks in advance! After some trial-and-error, I found classpath ... / entry in the .sar's jboss-service.xml starts at the deployment directory, instead of the ear. When I use a manifest for the .sar, which references the common libraries in the .ear, it works just fine... We have the following jboss-app.xml: module servicefirstservices.sar/service /module module servicesecondservices.sar/service /module Important detail: the first .sar has to be initialized BEFORE the second one. When we deployed the .ear on JBoss3.0.3, the deployment occured in the right sequence. But when we try JBoss3.0.6 the first .sar is always deployed AFTER the second one, regardless of the order wherein the modules are described in the deployment descriptor. Kinda disturbing, since they still have to be added to the project in order to compile and changed whenever the JBoss version (and it's libraries) changes... Deployment works (I'm able to login to my custom LoginModule), but RE-deployment doesn't: when I change something in the configuration xml file, the old configuration is still active. I took the code from org.jboss.test.security.service.SecurityService to create a new MBean, configured by a SAR, which also contains the login-config.xml. Deployment works well, but there seems to be a problem with RE-deployment. After I adjust some model-options in the XML configuration, changes in the login config are not active when I redeploy the SAR (EAR), but I have to restart the JBoss server. In that case a warning like WARNING: Exception for /blabla.js:java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer: socket write error is logged and shown in the concole. I don't want to see these messages to be logged, nor do I think they need to be warnings (but I DO want to see other warnings though). What's the best way to accomplish this? Thanks Wonne

Title: ThreadLocal variable in custom MBean Hi, Imagine that I want to create a new custom MBean, which keeps track of some kind of session information of a specific thread. (For data distribution purposes, but that's not important for now I guess) Is it possible to use a ThreadLocal instance to achieve this? What will happen with the transaction information of that thread (ThreadInfo inside the TxManager)? Thanks in advance for any tips -Wonne Keysers
