move to the definition of the local variable
Hello: I was wondering if there is function to jump to the definition of a local variable inside a method. I noticed 'C-c C-v C-y' (symbol definition from the menu) on a class variable (prefixed with 'this.') will jump to the definition of the variable in the class. But is there already a similar functionality for a local variable inside a method? Also, if there is no 'this.' prefix, is there a way to do the same? Thanks, j.t. __ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! xref usage question
Hello: Have seen quick a number of messages here about jde-xref. I downloaded 2.3.3beta5 and started to play with, and got no clue how jde-xref can be used. I did see xref database created, but didn't see how it could be used besides calling jde-xref-first-caller, next-caller, display-call-tree. And when I call them, they just don't do anything. (display-call-tree displayed something but clicking on it, nothing happens). What am I missing here? Thanks, j.t. __ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! DSL - Now only $29.95 per month! http://sbc.yahoo.com
feature request: tools to create new project/bootstrapping ant script
Hi fellow JDEE users: In terms of jdee-ant integration, is it possible to do some kind of front-end to integrate the ant project build script and the jdee project file? I was facing this problem of starting a new project and was thinking a tool/interface to create a new project and create corresponding prj.el and build.xml scripts would be really good to simplify the manual process. Tasks can be done with such a tool include: * specify the classpath of all the libs (corresponding entries for jdee project file and ant script will be created); * create package/directory structures; * create standard package-level javadoc files; * specify other important jdee-specific and ant-specific properties. Not sure if there is a tool for ant script creation, but ant could have a built-in task to do this kind of bootstrapping from a standard setting and jdee could then integrate with that task. Any thoughts? Thanks, j.t. __ Do You Yahoo!? Great stuff seeking new owners in Yahoo! Auctions! http://auctions.yahoo.com
jde-complete methods / variable ...
After looking at the java src code, I noticed that the completion of methods (and also for variables) are limited to those declared by the class/interface at point. My guess is this is for efficiency reason. But what about providing a customization or a different function to complete with all the methods (declared AND inherited)? Thanks, j.t. __ Do You Yahoo!?
