FirstGlance in Jmol looks absolutely terrific, Eric. Such a very clean
interface. I think when you upgrade to 11.0 you will see many fixes. For
example, rockets in 1blu. Would you consider providing users the option
to use Jmol 11.0 at least?

Two days ago, I noticed that FirstGlance in Jmol (version 1.0) could
not select DNA chains by clicking (in the Hide.. or Contacts..
dialogs). This was a result of the changes in the remediated PDB
format that changed all PDB files on August 1, 2007
(http://www.wwpdb.org). I have fixed this at
http://firstglance.jmol.org (now version 1.01) which went public yesterday.
It is also fixed in Beta FirstGlance in Jmol 1.39 (available through
a new link at the bottom of the main page at
http://firstglance.jmol.org). This version has a better display for
Charge.., but its development, documentation, and testing are not
yet complete. It is used for the ConSurf, Pepitope, and Selecton
servers, and the OCA PDB service.
I have also updated the list of adoptions and adaptations of
FirstGlance in Jmol.
