[kfind] [Bug 358170] New: Tilde substitution does not work in KF5 build

2016-01-18 Thread Kai Uwe Broulik via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358170

Bug ID: 358170
Summary: Tilde substitution does not work in KF5 build
   Product: kfind
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: k...@privat.broulik.de

When running the KF5 variant of KFind I can no longer enter paths starting with
a tilde, such as ~/Projects. Instead, when starting search it says it cannot
find the folder. This works in Kdelibs 4 version. I'm not sure if this is a
KFind issue or the KIO stuff it uses in the background.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run KFind KF5 build
2. Enter ~ into the Location combo
3. Try to run search

Actual Results:
An error happens

Expected Results:
The ~ is correctly substituted for $HOME

The URL completer works and suggests folders within ~ while typing but the
search itself does not.

[dolphin] [Bug 358169] New: Creating a new folder causes crash (Localized version problem)

2016-01-18 Thread Safa Alfulaij via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358169

Bug ID: 358169
Summary: Creating a new folder causes crash (Localized version
problem)
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 15.12.1
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: safa1996alful...@gmail.com

Application: dolphin (15.12.1)

Qt Version: 5.5.1
Operating System: Linux 4.3.3-2-ARCH x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Archlinux Packages

Information about the crash:
I use Dolphin with Arabic translation. For a reason, there are two entries in
the "Create new" list, one of them is the English "Folder" entry, and the other
is the localized entry (مجلد in Arabic). Trying to create a folder by clicking
the English entry causes crash, while the localized entry doesn't.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Well, I do not use Ubuntu, and have no experience with that.

But an explicit link has been posted in comment#9:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kde-baseapps/+bug/1451564

You probably have to register first to add a comment though. There is a
"Register" link at the top-right to do that.

[plasmashell] [Bug 358166] New: Add drag and drop support for FolderView's compact repesentation

2016-01-18 Thread Kai Uwe Broulik via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358166

Bug ID: 358166
Summary: Add drag and drop support for FolderView's compact
repesentation
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: master
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Folder
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: k...@privat.broulik.de
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

When dragging a file or folder onto the compact representation of a Folder View
(eg. if I have it in my panel) should allow moving/copying the item to the
FolderView's folder. Also, hovering should open the popup after a slight delay
like Task Manager does it when it raises the window.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place a FolderView in your panel
2. Start dragging a file
3. Move over the FolderView
4. Drop

Actual Results:
You'll get an icon widget in your panel

Expected Results:
It will prompt whether to copy/move/link the file to the folder of the
FolderView

[plasmashell] [Bug 358167] New: Automatically deduce plasmoid icon from folder

2016-01-18 Thread Kai Uwe Broulik via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 358167
Summary: Automatically deduce plasmoid icon from folder
   Product: plasmashell

OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Folder
  Assignee: h...@kde.org
  Reporter: k...@privat.broulik.de
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

When creating a FolderView by dropping a folder somewhere, the resulting
plasmoid should automatically deduce its icon from the folder. This can be
observed by dropping a folder with a custom icon onto a panel and chosing
"Folder".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new folder and give it a custom icon
2. Drop it onto your panel
3. Choose "Create Folder"

Actual Results:
A new FolderView widget appears with the default folder icon

Expected Results:
A new FolderView widget appears with the icon of the folder

I think if no custom icon has been set, changing the URL of the FolderView in
settings should also do update the icon.

Since 93d71cdd19a6a844363751bd0299205d00d9a3a6 KFileItem uses a specialized
folder icon for XDG standard folders, for example the Pictures folder in HOME
will use "folder-images" by default.

This logic is not present in KIO::iconNameForUrl which other places, like
Plasma's Icon Widget, will not pick up the special icon and instead show the
default folder icon.

Reproducible: Always

I've been commenting on the DAVGroupware resource and its access to an owncloud
server via CalDAV. It seems that you try to get the iCal resource to work
(webcal://, http://). This one doesn't work for me either. It does work for
local files, but I can't subscribe to remote .ics files. But probably this is
the wrong thread to complain about this as it is explicitly on CalDAV.

Regarding Date/Time, it is always useful to refer to the MWG Guidelines on
which date/time fields are used and when and if they should be updated.

If someone will give it a try: For cmake based projects on linux the following
receipt can be used to get an AST (based on the hints at
http://clang.llvm.org/docs/LibTooling.html)
1. unpack umbrello source into

[kscreenlocker] [Bug 358125] the lock-up can be pass through without typing password

2016-01-18 Thread Nils via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358125

The time indicated is 5 secondes. I have been thinking that first, but when I
try to wiggle the mouse, it does not unlock. Furthermore, the time during which
I do nothing is greater than 5 minutes & 5 secondes (I have not updated these
settings).

It is only by closing the lid that I can unlock my session.

Another thing really strange (but not sure whether related). When opening for
the first time my session (following a reboot), I need to type several time my
password (rightly). Each time it makes all the SDDM disappears and reboot it.
Until... somehow... it finish by opening my session.
When I type the bad password it is flag as bad... but when right typed, it just
seems to crash.

You will find some errors logs on the attached file.

[valgrind] [Bug 358030] support direct socket calls on x86 32bit (new in linux 4.3)

2016-01-18 Thread Ron via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358030

No, I havn't run the testsuite. I just checked if I can run programs via
valgrind that use various socket related syscalls.

I have no regular 32bit linux here anymore and the system were I need it is a
embedded system with uClibc, busybox, no perl. I fear the test suite requires
modifications to do so and at the moment my time is limited...

Display after changing some font properties (in this case, I opted for bold

All digits are back again.
Changing to italics also works.

[plasmashell] [Bug 358156] New: Clock doesn't update after switching back from tty

2016-01-18 Thread Federico Kereki via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358156

Bug ID: 358156
Summary: Clock doesn't update after switching back from tty
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: master
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Digital Clock
  Assignee: mklape...@kde.org
  Reporter: fker...@gmail.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

I opened a console with ALT+CTRL+F1.
I left it open.
After a (longish) while, I went back with ALT+CTRL+F7.
The clock date was missing some digits.
This also happens (sometimes) in the system tray.
Also, sometimes digits are missing in the time itself.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Switch to tty with ALT+CTRL+F1
2. Wait (possibly a while)
3. Switch back with ALT+CTRL+F7

Actual Results:
Clock time or clock date is missing some digits.

Expected Results:
All digits (time, date) should have appeared.

If you change font attributes (for example, apply bold or italics, or remove
those if already checked) display goes back to normal.
However, if you go back to the original font settings, digits will be missing
again.

[dolphin] [Bug 356235] Dolphin unable to change file associations

2016-01-18 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356235

mistachie...@hotmail.com changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||mistachie...@hotmail.com

In addition to the above mentioned problem with regard paths to mimeapps.list,
there appears to be another issue. I symlinked
.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list to .config/mimeapps.list and still had
problems with specific filetypes such as PDFs

After a lot of research, I believe I've found the solution. KDE and most other
DEs get information from a package that most distros call 'shared-mime-info'.
This package contains a file called freedesktop.org.xml which in Arch Linux
(the distro I use) is stored under /usr/share/mime/packages, but may be stored
elsewhere on other distros.

Upon examining this file, I could see that some filetypes have aliases. For
example, for application/pdf it has the aliases application/x-pdf, image/pdf,
and application/acrobat. Whenever I tried to change the default application
for PDF to Okular, it would always revert just as is being shown here. When I
checked .config/mimeapps.list, I could see that the entry for application/pdf
had been updated to put kde4-okular.desktop first, but the entries for the
other aliases had not been. When I manually added kde4-okular.desktop as the
first entry for those aliases, I was able to move Okular the top of the list
and it stayed there.

I think the reason this bug is hard to reproduce is that it depends on whether
you have entries in your mimeapps.list file for aliases of filetypes you are
changing. For example, I don't have the entry for 'application/acrobat' in my
mimeapps.list file even though it is a valid alias. Perhaps if I had installed
an application which creates an entry for that alias in mimeapps.list, it would
be in there.

There is also some further inconsistency because I can see that I have an entry
for the one alias for image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, and yet it appears to be ignored
and the correct default application from the image/jpeg entry is used. It
seems clear to me that Plasma 5 currently has some issues with the proper
handling of MIME aliases, but it seems like an eminently fixable problem.

[kdenlive] [Bug 358175] New: Kdenlive-git - Title editor, implement feature to adjust letter spacing between letters in titles

2016-01-18 Thread Jesse via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358175

Bug ID: 358175
Summary: Kdenlive-git - Title editor, implement feature to
adjust letter spacing between letters in titles
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: jesse.dub...@gmail.com

If there can be an option in the title editor to broaden or shrink the space
between letters, that'd be a handy feature. :)

Possibly a field with the letters" Letter Spacing" in front or to the left of
it, with a numeric input, adjustable by inputting a number value, scrolling
with middle mouse wheel, or using up and down arrows similar to the rest of the
fields at the top of the Title Editor?

Reproducible: Always

Suggested while using Kdenlive 15.13.0.r6934.4f775c7-1 on Antergos (Arch) Linux
x64, GNOME 3.18.2.

[kdenlive] [Bug 358177] New: Kdenlive-git - Issue with Wipe transition, not working properly. (video example included)

2016-01-18 Thread Jesse via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358177

Bug ID: 358177
Summary: Kdenlive-git - Issue with Wipe transition, not working
properly. (video example included)
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Effects & Transitions
  Assignee: vpi...@kde.org
  Reporter: jesse.dub...@gmail.com

See video example in URL field.

When I try to apply the "Wipe" transition between two clips on separate tracks,
overlapping each other, the transition doesn't behave like it should. It seems
to still show the clip beneath the proceeding clip improperly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put one clip over another in timeline
2. Add Wipe transition between the two, select "linear X.png" in Image File
field
3. Play project

Actual Results:
Transition isn't showing/working properly. The underlying clip seems to still
be present beneath the overlapping clip.

Expected Results:
Should perform like normal wipe transition: underlying clip is "wiped" away by
clip above it in timeline.

Tested on Kdenlive 15.13.0.r6934.4f775c7-1 using Antergos (Arch) Linux x64,
GNOME 3.18.2. I'm marking this bug as "Major" because it seems to be bigger
than the wipe transition itself; transitions in general seem to be glitching,
unable to work properly. But it was discovered while trying to use the Wipe
effect. It that leads to a bigger issue to be fixed, well I guess this is the
kickstarter. :)

[krita] [Bug 358160] New: Can not create a new image nor open files.

2016-01-18 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358160

Bug ID: 358160
Summary: Can not create a new image nor open files.
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.0 Alpha
  Platform: Other
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: grave
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: t.s.o@gmail.com

Each time I try to create a new file image, it stops working and I am given a
windows "debug" option, and it closes out. Have tried opening with smaller
resolution and image pixel size to see if that was the issue (as it has been
before at times) and it still does it. The same thing happens when I try
opening a file instead.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Krita
2. Click on New under Files tab
3. Click the "Create" button

Actual Results:
"Krita: Warning Krita" blank empty box appears with no text, then a new box
comes up that says "krita.exe has stopped working A problem caused the program
to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a
solution is available." Debug or Close buttons are available to click.
The same happens when trying to open an image file.

Expected Results:
A new blank image file should've opened.

I'm wondering if this is a problem caused due to my system being a Wacom Cintiq
Companion (runs Windows 8), since this new version of Krita, as I've read, has
a complete rewrite of the tablet code, and... well, the cintiq companion pretty
much is a tablet and pc in one.

[frameworks-kservice] [Bug 358159] New: ktraderclient5 returns the wrong order for x-scheme-handler/magnet

2016-01-18 Thread Mathias Tillman via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358159

Bug ID: 358159
Summary: ktraderclient5 returns the wrong order for
x-scheme-handler/magnet
   Product: frameworks-kservice
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: fa...@kde.org
  Reporter: master.ho...@gmail.com
CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org

I've noticed that magnet links are always opened in ktorrent, when I want them
to open in qBittorrent. I have x-scheme-handler/magnet=qBittorrent.desktop set
under Default Applications in mimeapps.list, and yet they still open in
ktorrent.
I did some digging and found that xdg-open uses ktraderclient5 (when using kde
frameworks 5) to find what program it should open, and calling
ktraderclient5 --mimetype x-scheme-handler/magnet --servicetype Application
does indeed return the wrong order, with ktorrent being offer 0 and qbittorrent
being offer 1.
I tried calling ktraderclient (the kde 4 version), and that returns the correct
order.

If I run
xdg-mime default qBittorrent.desktop x-scheme-handler/magnet
it works for a little while, but then seems to reset itself. I'm not sure why
or how.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to open a magnet link using xdg-open
2.
3.

Actual Results:
ktorrent opens even though I have qBittorrent set as the default.

Expected Results:
qBittorrent should open.

Running Kubuntu 15.10 with kde framework 5.15.0 and plasma 5.4.3.

hi t.s.o.mcd,

did you take the survey?

We stated in the news post that Krita 3.0 alpha is know to be so buggy that
we're actually preferring you to take the survey. In this case, we're pretty
sure the problem is caused by the OpenGL compatibility profile and issues with
the current Intel drivers, and this will take a while to get right.

You can still take the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/W87RX6X

About keyframes, yes I want to review the UI so that we have a common interface
to adjust keyframes in timeline and in effect stack.
Vincent and I planned to merge the GSoC 2015 support for curves in keyframes on
our end of the month coding sprint, and I think if we have time, it will be a
good opportunity to review the whole keyframes GUI. If you have ideas about
improving the keyframes UI, feedback is welcome.

I can confirm the problem, hidden features are bad.
I agree that adding "Double-click to add multiple $annotationtype$s" to the

[umbrello] [Bug 338649] Extend C++ import for C++11

I actually see this as a major problem. Requiring people to have a full build
set up would severely limed the usefulness of the tool. I might not even have
complete sourcetree available, but just get a bunch of related cpp files from
"somewhere" (a collaborator, some old project which no longer builds, ...) and
want to import the classes into umbrello.

If this is a basic limitation to using clang, is this really the way the
project should go? Maybe it is possible to separate only the parser parts
without the whole semantics and error checking from clang? I have no idea about
clang internals I must say.

An alternative could be using some parser generator such as antlr or bison to
get a syntax tree? I looked around (for maybe half an hour) some weeks ago but
it seemed there is nothing yet which would properly parse c++11/14 syntax..

[kdenlive] [Bug 358178] New: Kdenlive-git - Title editor, have middle mouse button click pan around title window?

2016-01-18 Thread Jesse via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358178

Bug ID: 358178
Summary: Kdenlive-git - Title editor, have middle mouse button
click pan around title window?
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: jesse.dub...@gmail.com

One small benefit I'd found using the title editor would be if the middle mouse
button could pan around the title window. It's nice to have the scrollbars as
an option, but panning with the middle mouse button would be much easier
(similar to how GIMP handles the middle mouse button)! It looks like,
currently, the middle mouse button does the same thing as clicking then
dragging the left mouse button, anyways.

Reproducible: Always

Tested on Kdenlive 15.13.0.r6934.4f775c7-1 using Antergos (Arch) Linux x64,
GNOME 3.18.2.

But why does the rename process fail AFTER it has renamed the file?

However, I also noticed that renaming video files sometimes does use the file
date instead of the recording date. That happens randomly with video files from

Force the installation of providers and services to
$CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX/share/kaccounts

Because distros are unable to solve this file conflict, this will now
force all providers and services to be installed in own directory to
which libaccounts-glib needs to be pointed by env vars. Things won't
work without those env vars.
