--- Comment #30 from Ben Cooksley  ---
Sorry, but users are going to use Yahoo (they're one of the top 5 domains for
receiving email from KDE.org's main email server) and we need them to be able
to receive our mails. Additionally, GMail bulk folders email which fails the
authentication tests specified by Yahoo / AOL (which our mail will never pass).

This may lead to developers who use GMail/Yahoo *missing* bug emails entirely
simply because the reporter used Yahoo. The same could occur for users who use
GMail/Yahoo and developers that use Yahoo to respond.

You can cite the RFC's as much as you like - we aren't following them - they're
irrelevant. What we follow is what is necessary to ensure our email is
successfully delivered, into the Inbox, for all providers. Deliverability is
what is important.

And technically the emails we send are RFC compliant, in that our automated
system's address is marked as the originator and sender of the message - which
is correct.

Further, I don't see how this complicates things considering Bugzilla attaches
a number of headers containing information such as Product/Component/Status to
assist in filtering.

After each of these hangs X server eats a lot of memory. There were about ten
of them on my system after the last reboot, and now X server takes 48.5 GiB
VIRT and 28.9 GiB RES. This is with the "fix" from QTBUG-51676.

Ok,
I feel dumb now. I could not reproduce the bug anymore.
One thing I can tell though is that apparently, I was out of disk space when
bug happened, so maybe something with temp files?

Anyway,
I think it can be closed.
If I face this bug again, I reopen it with the stack trace.

Have you analyzed, what the memory is used for, where memory is used
needlessly, and do you have concrete ideas how to change the code in order to
improve the memory consumption?

> I think dolphin should just somehow store the content into some buffers what

Sharing non-read-only memory between different processes is extremely
non-trivial and may lead to all kinds of bugs, I'm afraid.

[kphotoalbum] [Bug 360796] New: Difficulties to compile with plugins and how to solve them

2016-03-20 Thread Andreas Schleth via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360796

Bug ID: 360796
   Summary: Difficulties to compile with plugins and how to solve
them
   Product: kphotoalbum
   Version: 4.7.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kpab...@willden.org
  Reporter: schleth...@web.de

This is not strictly a bug report. At best a suggestion to add to the compile
docs.

I tried to compile 4.7.1 under openSuSE Leap42 and ran into lots of
difficulties with the plugins (kipi, kface and marble). The program itself
compiled OK, but the plugins were missing, although I had all the
*-devel-packages and libs installed. Fiddling with the environment variables
and of (beware!) the include paths in the source files only got me deeper and
deeper into a mess.

The error messages of cmake or during make all hinted to "path/file" not found
for some includes or config-files. Nothing definite.

Finally I found the reason: some plugins were already present on my system in
the qt5-flavour. And this breaks it. It seems having qt4 and qt5 libs on the
system makes building things unpleasant at least.

Solution: downgrade kipi, marble and kface to the qt4-versions.

This is for openSuSE only: In Yast delete/uninstall the corresponding
qt5-libraries (for these plugins only). Then the downgrade is provided as one
of the solutions to the dependency mismatch.

Please fee free to point me to the proper place, if this is the wrong place to
post/discuss.

Reproducible: Always

[marble] [Bug 360767] List all Placemarks

2016-03-20 Thread Gregor Mi via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360767

--- Comment #2 from Gregor Mi  ---
Thanks for the hint. I found the created placemark in the Files panel under the
"Annotations" node. It seems that the placemark is not persisted over a Marble
restart. Even if I press the "Save" button in the Files panel. Does user
documentation exist of how placemarks and File panel are supposed to work
together?

--- Comment #1 from Kai Uwe Broulik ---
The view itself is supposed to be inverted, ie. results being populated from
the bottom up but obviously the arrow keys should still work the same.

Mails from mailing lists often have the headers:

List-Unsubscribe: ,

List-Help:
List-Subscribe: ,

And there are webmailers (squirrel mail) which display buttons for quick
(un)subscribe.

It'd be nice if kmail does the same ;)

Reproducible: Always

--- Comment #4 from Kai Uwe Broulik ---
It works with the left button, if you use the "Desktop" layout. It does not
with "Folder" as the root MouseArea (responsible for eg. rubber band selection)
eats the mouse event for left mouse button.

"/home/aspotashev" becomes "/home/aspotashev///".

Git commit 8528c06ffe86231554189172b9cde02a8c38b6cb by Martin Kostolný.
Committed on 20/03/2016 at 19:12.
Pushed by martinkostolny into branch 'master'.

This patch modifies Krusader's item selection behaviour. It enables Krusader to
select previously focused item when no other items are already selected.

For this to work (and to reuse existing code) I've modified KrView's method
"getSelectedItems" to accept a bool flag to optionally return selected-only
items (without the focused one).

[trojita] [Bug 358681] No UI way to list marked or flagged emails

2016-03-20 Thread via KDE Bugzilla

Created attachment 97994

patch to show only marked mails

I now had some time to try implementing this.

I sadly failed with the KRecursiveFilterProxyMode-approach. That is just over
my head, I do not understand whether that would replace the QAbstractProxy or
where it would have to be plugged in.

But I was able to just copy the way read messages are hidden. I understand that
given the prior comments, that is probably not the best way, but it seemed to
work fine for me.

If you are okay with merging this, and I need to do something for that, please
just state so.

If I create a fill layer, do ctrl+A, suppr and paint on it (in white), nothing
will appear. Then if I make a new selection and fill it (backspace or
shift+backspace), all my previous brush strokes suddenly appear.
I'm on Windows x64 and I tried with Krita 2.9.11 and 3.0 Pre-alpha.

This file is legitimately file created by Nokia phone and I think it's valid
formatted file. Please read
"A vCalendar data stream may include one or more vCalendar objects. An
individual vCalendar object is identified within a data stream by the
appearance of the Begin vCalendar Delimiter:
BEGIN:VCALENDAR[...]"

from https://www.imc.org/pdi/vcal-10.txt.
Do you think, that KOrganize shouldn't handle this case of .vcs file?

--- Comment #12 from Ragnar Thomsen  ---
Git commit 7f65f9112b6574fc6477c240bea6c138a1494dbb by Ragnar Thomsen.
Committed on 20/03/2016 at 17:55.
Pushed by rthomsen into branch 'Applications/16.04'.

Handle "no space left" messages from cliplugins

Previously, Ark didn't handle "no space left" error messages from the
cliplugins. This resulted in either the gui being "busy" continously
(clizip), or that the user didn't get any indication that there was a
problem extracting the archive (cli7z and clirar).

This commit adds a pattern (DiskFullPatterns) for catching these errors.
An errorbox is then displayed to the user. Some of the programs used in
the cliplugins, such as 7z v9.38, doesn't output a specific message,
but then a generic "Extraction failed" message is displayed instead.

[dolphin] [Bug 357471] Dolphin opens .desktop files in Kate

2016-03-20 Thread Peter Roots via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357471

--- Comment #3 from Peter Roots  ---
having been stumped by this I ignored it until today - Under Dolphin
preferences, on the general section there is a confirmations tab. Here, under
'ask for confirmation in all KDE applications when:' selecting 'executing
scripts or desktop files' restores the default functionality of asking 'what do
you want to do with this executable?' when you click a desktop icon in Dolphin.
I presume I have inadvertently selected open and somehow ticked the don't ask
again box.

So, not a bug but a config setting that I could not find - I actually found it
by accident while trying to some something else entirely. :-)
Issue resolved.

[korganizer] [Bug 360781] New: KOrganizer doesn't import all events out of .vcs file

2016-03-20 Thread NSLW via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360781

Bug ID: 360781
   Summary: KOrganizer doesn't import all events out of .vcs file
   Product: korganizer
   Version: 4.14.2
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: import/export
  Assignee: korganizer-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: lukasz.wojnilow...@gmail.com

I've got .vcs file with two events inside and only one of them gets imported
into KOrganizer instead of both.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. File->Import->Import Calendar
2. Choose events.vcs (see attachment)
3. When prompted, choose to merge events being imported with personal calendar

Actual Results:
Only "Second event" gets imported into Personal Calendar on 02 December 2016

Expected Results:
"First event" should get imported into Personal Calendar on 01 December 2016
and
"Second event" should get imported into Personal Calendar on 02 December 2016

My version of KOrganizer isn't 4.14.2 but 4.14.10.

[kdeplasma-addons] [Bug 360777] New: Due to faulty configuration desktop loading time is ~20 seconds longer

2016-03-20 Thread soee via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360777

Bug ID: 360777
   Summary: Due to faulty configuration desktop loading time is
~20 seconds longer
   Product: kdeplasma-addons
   Version: 5.5.5
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: kont...@soee.pl

After some updates and testing various widgets i have noticed that my desktop
is loading ~ 20 seconds longer (screen after sddm) - progress bar reaches 100%
and than waits mention time.

To track down the issue i have removed whole .config folder. It helped but than
i go further and located 'faulty' file. It was:
`./config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc`. And again going deeper i
faound the problem inside following configuration (removing it solved the
loading time problem):

[Containments][114]
activityId=795e1540-a8a7-486f-a0f4-f5c2ef8f9e0c
formfactor=0
immutability=1
lastScreen=1
location=0
plugin=org.kde.desktopcontainment
wallpaperplugin=org.kde.image

And related configuration to this path: [Containments][114] in this file is
also:

[Containments][114][Applets][112]
immutability=1
plugin=org.kde.plasma.analogclock

[Containments][114][Applets][112][Configuration][ConfigDialog]
DialogHeight=660
DialogWidth=880

[Containments][114][ConfigDialog]
DialogHeight=660
DialogWidth=880

[Containments][114][General]
ItemsGeometries=Applet-112:1600,816,224,192,0;
ToolBoxButtonState=topright
ToolBoxButtonX=1883
pressToMove=false
showToolbox=false

[Containments][114][Wallpaper][org.kde.image][General]
FillMode=2
Image=file:///home/soee/ownCloud/Zdjęcia/Tapety/1920x1080 (2).png
height=1080
width=1920

The only wrong thing i noticed here (from my point of view) is path to not
existing image: Image=file:///home/soee/ownCloud/Zdjęcia/Tapety/1920x1080
(2).png - i have removed whole ownCloud dir in my home folder some time ago
(btw. shouldn't such invalid images path be handled/removed by Plasma
automatically?). But removing this
[Containments][114][Wallpaper][org.kde.image][General] part from configuration
didn't solve the loading time problem so some other part of pasted
configuration causes it.

We have some ToolBox related configuration here - i don't know itf it is
important but the ToolBox (old cashew) i have disabled by default.

Reproducible: Always
