Inside "Folder" create a folder named "Subfolder" and put an image there. 2. Create a new Digikam album for "Test-local3" with "Settings / Digikam einrichten (configure?) / Collections / Add [local] Collection" 3. Right-click on "Folder" and create a new album "NewSubfolder". 4. See a nameless album and duplicate albums appear... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 361274] Special Application/Window Settings Inconsistent
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361274 --- Comment #12 from PGillespie--- Okay. So I don't confuse matters. Working hard not to give you bad info: //KDE 4? => ~/.kde/share/config/kwinrulesrc// No, running 5. What I meant by empty is that I haven't made any window rules on that laptop yet (except by way of sussing out this bug). //Sounds like it's less a popup but more a normal window that is running into the focus stealing protecion?// That's above my pay grade: Can neither confirm nor deny. :) However! I think I've discovered the problem (or a workaround at least). XFCE4 Panel behaves as expected as long as I don't set it to "intelligently" hide. If "hide" is set to or , it functions as expected. If set to hide, I can't mouse click the panel (it will immediately disappear on clicking) unless the desktop is cleared. So... all this is probably a separate issue. Update on Second System: I was either wrong or the system (since updating to 15.10) no longer retains window rules (even when set via mouse right-clicking). The behavior on both systems is now the same. I can control the two instances of FF via ALTF3, separating them into their respective activities while the apps are running, but those preferences (as expected) are lost once the applications are closed. I cannot use "kcmshell5 kwinrules" to *permanently* assign them separate preferences. Plasma seems unable to recognize them as distinct instances of FF. If I set preferences for FF-A, then FF-B assumes those presets. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361357 Bug ID: 361357 Summary: git master - issues with new Clip Properties Widget Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: jesse.dub...@gmail.com It looks like in recent git master builds that the Clip Properties in the Project Bin has been made into its own widget, as opposed to a slide-in window in the Project Bin. I think that's a great idea! Much better than a slide-out window that you have to resize or wiggle around the Project Bin. Good stuff. There are some issues that arise with this change, however. I've listed them and some possible solutions to fixing them: (1) If the Clip Properties widget has dimensions that are smaller than the content of the widget itself, it still forces the layout to change - whether it's the selected widget or simply in the layout at all - and the layout cannot be adjusted to make the widget smaller or resize any widgets its grouped together with. I'd suggest that the Clip Properties widget can re-size without affecting the rest of the layout, like how all the other widgets behave. (I also reported this issue in Bug 356488 - https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356488.) (2) This new change can create some confusion with the Effect/Transition properties widget, because both have the word "Properties" in it, and now it seems to leave the purpose of the "Properties" widget ambiguous. I don't have an ideal title name for the Properties widget, but even changing it to something like "FX Properties" would be much better, at this point, than just "Properties". Conveniently, left-clicking once on clips or transitions in the Timeline open the Properties window up automatically, anyways, so maybe "FX Properties" wouldn't be such a bad idea. ("FX" Is always had a professional, flashy video editor feel, anyway. :) ) (3) There is no label as to what clip the Clip Properties widget is showing the details FOR. IT doesn't show the clip title/name anywhere, or file name, etc. This issue was made present to me when working with a clip in the timeline that was different from the clip currently displayed/selected/present in the Clip Properties widget. I would suggest putting the clip name (or file name, whichever) in the actual content window of the clip properties widget, or, in parenthesis, have the clip name in the widget header, to the right of the actual "Clip Properties" text. Or both, even, as this would be an issue if the title bars are hidden in the layout. (4) When double-clicking a clip in the Project Bin or clicking the Pencil icon in the Project bin, the Clip Properties widget disappears, then re-appears with the clip properties data. ... ...eh, not the best behavior for editing workflow, let alone ideal for the user's custom editing layout. SUGGESTED SOLUTION: When the Clip Properties widget is currently in the layout, double-clicking a clip or clicking the "Clip Properties" button DOESN'T remove the widget from the layout, or close the widget. Instead, it brings it to the front (as it does now), showing the details of the chosen clip. So, in other words, cease any options in the Project Bin from making the Clip Properties widget disappear/close/leave the layout. (5) Being that the "Clip Properties" button at the top of the Project Bin is an enable/disable button, rather than a one-time click button that brings the user to the clip properties widget, , I might suggest changing it to a single-click button that behaves just like double-clicking on a clip in the Project Bin -- mainly for the reasons stated above. I think that any function in the Project Bin that closes/removes the Clip Properties widget is a bad idea, personally. Thanks for reading guys. :) Reproducible: Always Suggested/Bugs discovered while using Kdenlive 16.07.70 git master build via kdenlive-master ppa. [kdenlive] [Bug 361356] New: git master 16.07.70 - Suggest replacing waveform in clip monitor to audio clip details when playing audio clips
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361356 Bug ID: 361356 Summary: git master 16.07.70 - Suggest replacing waveform in clip monitor to audio clip details when playing audio clips Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: jesse.dub...@gmail.com When an audio clip is opened in the Clip Monitor, the display during playback shows the yellow lines with the audio waveform. I have some considerable objections to this: (1) This looks kinda cheesy and unprofessional. (2) This serves no practical purpose: you can't pinpoint a certain moment in the audio clip with it, and it doesn't indicate the volume of the audio clip nearly as accurately as the new (and awesome) volume levels in the Monitor controls. I'd encourage considering this: when opening an audio clip in the Clip Monitor, have an overlay in the Clip Monitor window showing the same details/properties of the audio clip that would be in the Clip Properties widget. No animation. Benefits: (1) This would display much more relevant data to the editor when working with the audio clip, filling the display with something more helpful for editing. (2) It would look more professional. Maybe even consider, in the context menu, replacing the "Overlay Audio Waveform" at the bottom to "Overlay Audio Clip Details", and have it enabled by default when working with audio clips. (This is confusing, anyways, since the bottom option in the context menu and the one in the "Current Monitor Overlay" sub-menu have the same text, but produce different results.) [kwin] [Bug 361274] Special Application/Window Settings Inconsistent
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361274 --- Comment #11 from Thomas Lübking--- > The contents of .config/kwinrulesrc are empty on this system. KDE 4? => ~/.kde/share/config/kwinrulesrc > I usually have to clear the Desktop and *then* click the Dictionary App (on > the XFCE4 Panel) before it will "visibly" pop up. Sounds like it's less a popup but more a normal window that is running into the focus stealing protecion? > Meanwhile, I used "kcmshell5 kwinrules", as suggested, and gthumb appears to > be behaving. Ok, we can likely pin it down a some sync issue when invoking the rules via the alt+f3 menu (though I've no idea how or why, it just rans that dialog with some special parameter. Did you compare the detected values to those passed from the alt+f3 menu?) > So, the two FF's are working out of entirely separate directories Thats's irrelevant. The WM can distinguish it windows by some properties you can see in the matching dialog. To separate windows from same class and type, only role and title could be used for discrimination - where title is oc. rather dynamic wrt a browser (shows the current url) => please attach a kwinrulesrc with rules for both FF instances. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[rkward] [Bug 361344] RKWard crashes on startup
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361344 Thomas Friedrichsmeierchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||thomas.friedrichsmeier@ruhr ||-uni-bochum.de --- Comment #1 from Thomas Friedrichsmeier --- Hi! Thanks for taking the time to report this. I can confirm the "sending bug report does not work" issue, but other than that, RKWard 0.6.5 works just fine for me on Windows 7. Some questions: 1) I see in the mail archive, that you had some (different) trouble with getting RKWard 0.6.3 to work, before. Did you resolve that? Did you run any version of RKWard run on this system, successfully? 2) Possibly this is a problem of bits from several installations interfering with each other. Please try starting RKWard from the rkward.exe _inside KDE\bin_ to make sure this is not a problem of a mis-directed .lnk. 3) Do you see _any_ other symptoms? At least a message "the R backend has shut down unexpectedly," or something? 4) Could you please click on the "Developer Information" tab in the crash dialog, and copy-and-paste the information given there into a comment to this ticket? Thanks! Thomas -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 357400] Grouped tasks show executable name instead of pretty name
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357400 Friedrich W. H. Kossebauchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||kosse...@kde.org --- Comment #1 from Friedrich W. H. Kossebau --- Same here, Plasma 5.5.5. Not all grouped windows are shown with executable-like name though, seems there is some pattern: qt5/kf5 ones/libreoffice have executable-like name, kdelibs4 ones/firefox/gimp have display name like strings. There is some correlation with the second string of the WM_CLASS property of the windows and the string shown for the grouped windows: WM_CLASS(STRING) = "assistant-qt5", "assistant-qt5" -> "assistant-qt5" WM_CLASS(STRING) = "kate", "kate" -> "kate" WM_CLASS(STRING) = "konsole", "konsole" -> "konsole" WM_CLASS(STRING) = "libreoffice", "libreoffice-writer" -> "libreoffice-writer" vs. WM_CLASS(STRING) = "konqueror", "Konqueror" -> "Konqueror" WM_CLASS(STRING) = "Navigator", "Firefox" -> "Firefox" WM_CLASS(STRING) = "gimp-2.8", "Gimp-2.8" -> "Gimp-2.8" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
