[kdeconnect] [Bug 361367] New: Multimedia control bad working

2016-04-03 Thread varlesh via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361367

Bug ID: 361367
   Summary: Multimedia control bad working
   Product: kdeconnect
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: common
  Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
  Reporter: varl...@gmail.com

After last upgrade to Plasma 5.6 or Qt 5.6 - Media control bad working (almost
not working). Android-client not show working players on KDE (tested with Bomi
and Clementine). If disable/enable WiFi (or stop process) on Android device -
Media-control working, BUT if run another player player - client not show new
opened player.
Antergos x86_64
kdeconnect 0.9.g-1
plasma 5.6
kdeconnect-android 0.9g

Tested on two devices:
Innos D9 Android 4.1.2
Lenovo A516 Android 4.2.2

I downgrade package on PC (tested with 0.9) and install old APK's on Android -
problem not solved!
Other modules (send files, remote input, notification and etc...) working fine.
Before upgrade Plasma 5.6 or Qt 5.6 all working fine, and Multimedia control
too.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start and play Clementine - Android show "No players found".
2.Disable/enable WiFi (or stop process) on Android - Clementine showing and i
must control it.
3.Disable/enable WiFi (or stop process) on Android - Clementine showing and i
must control it.
4.If exit on Clementine and start play Bomi - Android show clementine (BUT
CLEMENTINE CLOSED!) and not showing Bomi control.

2016-04-03 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358460

--- Comment #4 from bryanwors...@hotmail.com ---
I'm seeing the same bug testing KDenLive 16.70.07 (from master branch ppa) on
Kubuntu 15.10 (AMD 64). Upon applying Clip Jobs > Automatic Scene Split (with
any of the options), it appears that processing commences (although I don't see
any progress bar), but KDenLive crashes part way through. KCrash Handler
reports a Segmentation fault.
I've attached an example KCrash Handler trace back report and gdb report (hope
I did I right)
The test clip in this case was a 1080/29.97p lossless (UTVideo-YV12) mkv
transcode with multiple scene changes (every 5 seconds or so).

--- Comment #1 from Thomas Pfeiffer  ---
Being able to reorganize a menu structure would be a nice feature to have.
However, allowing drag and drop during regular use is likely to lead to lots of
accidental reordering of menus, so if we implement this, we'd have to do it in
a way that users explicitly switch to am "editing mode".
This could be another aspect of a general "Plasma editing mode", however.

[plasmashell] [Bug 359764] Panel doesn't allow resizing

2016-04-03 Thread David Edmundson via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359764

--- Comment #11 from David Edmundson  ---
Not working in xmonad:

WM_NORMAL_HINTS(WM_SIZE_HINTS):
user specified location: 365, 0
user specified size: 1555 by 28
program specified minimum size: 1607 by 28
program specified maximum size: 1607 by 28
window gravity: Static

Not working in xmonad:
WM_NORMAL_HINTS(WM_SIZE_HINTS):
user specified location: 312, 0
user specified size: 1608 by 28
program specified minimum size: 1608 by 28
program specified maximum size: 1608 by 28
window gravity: Static

Looks like I skip a resize as I set the min/max and assume it will then resize
implicitly.
(which a working WM would do)

If someone wants to make a patch, you'll need to adjust PanelView::resizePanel
so that resize() keeps it *also* within minimumSize() and maximiumSize()

can someone replace their panelsize::resizePanel() method to this:

void PanelView::resizePanel()
{
QSize userSize;
if (formFactor() == Plasma::Types::Vertical) {
const int minSize = qMax(MINSIZE, m_minLength);
const int maxSize = qMin(m_maxLength, screen()->size().height() -
m_offset);
setMinimumSize(QSize(thickness(), minSize));
setMaximumSize(QSize(thickness(), maxSize));
userSize = QSize(thickness(), qBound(minSize, m_contentLength,
maxSize));
} else {
const int minSize = qMax(MINSIZE, m_minLength);
const int maxSize = qMin(m_maxLength, screen()->size().width() -
m_offset);
setMinimumSize(QSize(minSize, thickness()));
setMaximumSize(QSize(maxSize, thickness()));
userSize = QSize(qBound(minSize, m_contentLength, maxSize),
thickness());
}
resize(userSize.expandedTo(minimumSize()).boundTo(maximiumSize()));
//positionPanel will be called implicitly from resizeEvent
}

2016-04-03 Thread Jesse via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361360

--- Comment #2 from Jesse  ---
Hey sir, yes I can confirm that disabling the composite tracks and putting a
Composite transition between the video clips in separate tracks restores the
playback speed to real time. It does fix the issue.

Of course, we know that doing so removes the benefits of the composite tracks:
not able to put the video clips in any place in the timeline and have them
composite properly, not needed to put a composite transition in between video
clips on separate tracks, etc.

Any way to keep the framerate with the track compositing?

[kexi] [Bug 361363] New: Add support for pagination mode for table view

2016-04-03 Thread Jarosław Staniek via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361363

Bug ID: 361363
   Summary: Add support for pagination mode for table view
   Product: kexi
   Version: 2.9.11
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Tables
  Assignee: kexi-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: stan...@kde.org
CC: a...@piggz.co.uk, in...@fables.co.za

By default the table view is scrolled and loads all available data (for now,
this can be optimized later).
Pagination option is known from web UIs, see the attachment. Differences:
- no need for vertical scrollbar
- data loading limited to only one "page" -> speed and smaller memory
consumption
- would be used for mobile/embedded mode by default

2016-04-03 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361339

--- Comment #6 from kram...@web.de ---
Thanks Maik, with your help I was able to find a much simpler testcase.

I can reproduce this with SQLite and a local album and even if I just manually
create a new album with right-click, so this is not really an import issue.

However, this seems to require a particular folder structure. To reproduce:

1. Create a file system folder named "Test-local3". Inside "Test-local3" create
an empty folder named "Folder". Inside "Folder" create a folder named
"Subfolder" and put an image there.

2. Create a new Digikam album for "Test-local3" with "Settings / Digikam
einrichten (configure?) / Collections / Add [local] Collection"

3. Right-click on "Folder" and create a new album "NewSubfolder".

4. See a nameless album and duplicate albums appear...

I also noticed this on my projects. Seems to be related to the track composite
transitions. Can you disable the track compositing and see if it fixes the
issue ? Not exactly sure if some changes to track compositing made it worse or
if the problem is here since we added track compositing...

The problem is encountered much less frequently with the docked previews, now.
However it still exists:
1. Create _any_ plot window (in fact any detached "document" window)
2. Open a plugin dialog (in fact any non-modal dialog)
3. Close window created in 1 -> Window created in 2 goes hiding.

Problem is most definitely that when closing an RKMDIWindow (scripts, plot,
tool windows, but not dialogs), RKWard tries to activate the most suitable
_RKMDIWindow_ (again, not dialog).

To be fixed in frameworks branch.

See video in url field for example.

When you're in Kdenlive working on a project, and a video is currently showing
in the Project Monitor, creating a new project still shows the last frame the
Project Monitor was showing from the previous project.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have an edit open with the Project Monitor showing video from the edit.
2. Create a new project.

Actual Results:
A video frame from the last project is shown in the Project Monitor.

Expected Results:
Both monitors should be black, showing no traces of the previous project.

[kwin] [Bug 361274] Special Application/Window Settings Inconsistent

2016-04-03 Thread PGillespie via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361274

--- Comment #12 from PGillespie  ---
Okay. So I don't confuse matters. Working hard not to give you bad info:

//KDE 4? => ~/.kde/share/config/kwinrulesrc//

No, running 5. What I meant by empty is that I haven't made any window rules on
that laptop yet (except by way of sussing out this bug).

 //Sounds like it's less a popup but more a normal window that is running into
the focus stealing protecion?//

That's above my pay grade: Can neither confirm nor deny. :)

However! I think I've discovered the problem (or a workaround at least). XFCE4
Panel behaves as expected as long as I don't set it to "intelligently" hide. If
"hide" is set to or , it functions as expected. If set to
 hide, I can't mouse click the panel (it will immediately
disappear on clicking) unless the desktop is cleared. So... all this is
probably a separate issue.

Update on Second System: I was either wrong or the system (since updating to
15.10) no longer retains window rules (even when set via mouse right-clicking).
The behavior on both systems is now the same. I can control the two instances
of FF via ALTF3, separating them into their respective activities while the
apps are running, but those preferences (as expected) are lost once the
applications are closed. I cannot use "kcmshell5 kwinrules" to *permanently*
assign them separate preferences. Plasma seems unable to recognize them as
distinct instances of FF. If I set preferences for FF-A, then FF-B assumes
those presets.

See video for example and narrated details.

When I have multiple video clips in the timeline on different video tracks, and
they're on top of each other, the playback speed & frame rate slows WAY down.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put multiple clips in timeline. Stack them on top of each other so they're
overlaying each other in timeline.
2. Playback project.
3.

Actual Results:
When the timeline position cursor crosses over the area where there are
multiple video clips on top of each other, playback speed slows down
significantly. Regardless of if there are any compositing effects on any of the
clips or not.

Expected Results:
Playback speed should be a LOT smoother, even realtime, especialy on a machine
like mine (AMD FX(tm)-8150 Eight-Core Processor, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia Geforce

for operations, but Ubuntu is using the latest Nvidia proprietary graphics
driver for video processing -- if that makes a difference.

I realize there are two graphical ways to delete a clip from the Project Bin -
both the trash icon and right-clicking the clip and choosing delete - but I
feel that pressing the "Delete" key on the keyboard to remove a clip is also
really natural for many users. Some people are keyboard people; some are mouse
and gui people.

That said, would it be possible to make the Delete key delete/remove the
selected clip when working in the Project Bin?

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
Pressing the Delete key on keyboard when working in the Project Bin doesn't
delete/remove the selected clip in the Project Bin widget.

Expected Results:
Pressing the delete key on keyboard removes/deletes the selected clip from the
Project Bin.

[kdenlive] [Bug 361357] New: git master - issues with new Clip Properties Widget

2016-04-03 Thread Jesse via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361357

Bug ID: 361357
   Summary: git master - issues with new Clip Properties Widget
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: jesse.dub...@gmail.com

It looks like in recent git master builds that the Clip Properties in the
Project Bin has been made into its own widget, as opposed to a slide-in window
in the Project Bin. I think that's a great idea! Much better than a slide-out
window that you have to resize or wiggle around the Project Bin. Good stuff.

There are some issues that arise with this change, however. I've listed them
and some possible solutions to fixing them:

(1) If the Clip Properties widget has dimensions that are smaller than the
content of the widget itself, it still forces the layout to change - whether
it's the selected widget or simply in the layout at all - and the layout cannot
be adjusted to make the widget smaller or resize any widgets its grouped
together with. I'd suggest that the Clip Properties widget can re-size without
affecting the rest of the layout, like how all the other widgets behave. (I
also reported this issue in Bug 356488 -
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356488.)

(2) This new change can create some confusion with the Effect/Transition
properties widget, because both have the word "Properties" in it, and now it
seems to leave the purpose of the "Properties" widget ambiguous. I don't have
an ideal title name for the Properties widget, but even changing it to
something like "FX Properties" would be much better, at this point, than just
"Properties". Conveniently, left-clicking once on clips or transitions in the
Timeline open the Properties window up automatically, anyways, so maybe "FX
Properties" wouldn't be such a bad idea. ("FX" Is always had a professional,
flashy video editor feel, anyway. :) )

(3) There is no label as to what clip the Clip Properties widget is showing the
details FOR. IT doesn't show the clip title/name anywhere, or file name, etc.
This issue was made present to me when working with a clip in the timeline that
was different from the clip currently displayed/selected/present in the Clip
Properties widget. I would suggest putting the clip name (or file name,
whichever) in the actual content window of the clip properties widget, or, in
parenthesis, have the clip name in the widget header, to the right of the
actual "Clip Properties" text. Or both, even, as this would be an issue if the
title bars are hidden in the layout.

(4) When double-clicking a clip in the Project Bin or clicking the Pencil icon
in the Project bin, the Clip Properties widget disappears, then re-appears with
the clip properties data. ... ...eh, not the best behavior for editing
workflow, let alone ideal for the user's custom editing layout. SUGGESTED
SOLUTION: When the Clip Properties widget is currently in the layout,
double-clicking a clip or clicking the "Clip Properties" button DOESN'T remove
the widget from the layout, or close the widget. Instead, it brings it to the
front (as it does now), showing the details of the chosen clip. So, in other
words, cease any options in the Project Bin from making the Clip Properties
widget disappear/close/leave the layout.

(5) Being that the "Clip Properties" button at the top of the Project Bin is an
enable/disable button, rather than a one-time click button that brings the user
to the clip properties widget, , I might suggest changing it to a single-click
button that behaves just like double-clicking on a clip in the Project Bin --
mainly for the reasons stated above. I think that any function in the Project
Bin that closes/removes the Clip Properties widget is a bad idea, personally.

Thanks for reading guys. :)

Reproducible: Always

[kdenlive] [Bug 361356] New: git master 16.07.70 - Suggest replacing waveform in clip monitor to audio clip details when playing audio clips

2016-04-03 Thread Jesse via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361356

Bug ID: 361356
   Summary: git master 16.07.70 - Suggest replacing waveform in
clip monitor to audio clip details when playing audio
clips
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: jesse.dub...@gmail.com

When an audio clip is opened in the Clip Monitor, the display during playback
shows the yellow lines with the audio waveform. I have some considerable
objections to this:

(1) This looks kinda cheesy and unprofessional.
(2) This serves no practical purpose: you can't pinpoint a certain moment in
the audio clip with it, and it doesn't indicate the volume of the audio clip
nearly as accurately as the new (and awesome) volume levels in the Monitor
controls.

I'd encourage considering this: when opening an audio clip in the Clip Monitor,
have an overlay in the Clip Monitor window showing the same details/properties
of the audio clip that would be in the Clip Properties widget. No animation.
Benefits:

(1) This would display much more relevant data to the editor when working with
the audio clip, filling the display with something more helpful for editing.
(2) It would look more professional.

Maybe even consider, in the context menu, replacing the "Overlay Audio
Waveform" at the bottom to "Overlay Audio Clip Details", and have it enabled by
default when working with audio clips. (This is confusing, anyways, since the
bottom option in the context menu and the one in the "Current Monitor Overlay"
sub-menu have the same text, but produce different results.)

Reproducible: Always

Ok, we can likely pin it down a some sync issue when invoking the rules via the

Hi!

Thanks for taking the time to report this. I can confirm the "sending bug
report does not work" issue, but other than that, RKWard 0.6.5 works just fine
for me on Windows 7. Some questions:

1) I see in the mail archive, that you had some (different) trouble with
getting RKWard 0.6.3 to work, before. Did you resolve that? Did you run any
version of RKWard run on this system, successfully?

2) Possibly this is a problem of bits from several installations interfering
with each other. Please try starting RKWard from the rkward.exe _inside
KDE\bin_ to make sure this is not a problem of a mis-directed .lnk.

3) Do you see _any_ other symptoms? At least a message "the R backend has shut
down unexpectedly," or something?

4) Could you please click on the "Developer Information" tab in the crash
dialog, and copy-and-paste the information given there into a comment to this
ticket?

Thanks!
Thomas

Same here, Plasma 5.5.5.

Not all grouped windows are shown with executable-like name though, seems there
is some pattern: qt5/kf5 ones/libreoffice have executable-like name, kdelibs4
ones/firefox/gimp have display name like strings.

There is some correlation with the second string of the WM_CLASS property of
the windows and the string shown for the grouped windows:

WM_CLASS(STRING) = "assistant-qt5", "assistant-qt5" -> "assistant-qt5"
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "kate", "kate" -> "kate"
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "konsole", "konsole" -> "konsole"
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "libreoffice", "libreoffice-writer" -> "libreoffice-writer"
vs.
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "konqueror", "Konqueror" -> "Konqueror"
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "Navigator", "Firefox" -> "Firefox"
WM_CLASS(STRING) = "gimp-2.8", "Gimp-2.8" -> "Gimp-2.8"
