be a packaging issue with your distro rasq37?

@Quiralte @Boudewijn @Raghavendra
for me the bug is also still present and feels the same as in the beta builds.

But it seems really that the initial bug report may mean something slightly
different.

For me it is just a super laggy behavior(skippingmany inbetween sizes) and not
easy to properly set the brush size via shift + drag.

[kdenlive] [Bug 368366] New: git master

2016-09-06 Thread Evert Vorster via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368366

Bug ID: 368366
   Summary: git master
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: evert.vors...@yandex.com

Would like to have a clip job that renders a .mlt file with the project's
quality settings, and add it to the project.

Reproducible: Always

This is a quite longstanding wish, actually.

What I propose is a special clip job, only for .mlt files that are in the
Project bin.
What it should do is to render the .mlt file using the project settings. Sort
of the same method used to create the .mlt file in the first place.

What we will get from this is clips that can be used on the timeline without
the performance impact of the .mlt, and also have the ability to apply
successive clips jobs to one clip, and have proxy clips available for the
effect and so on.

[kdenlive] [Bug 368365] New: git master:2016-09-07: Speed effects cannot be grouped

2016-09-06 Thread Evert Vorster via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368365

Bug ID: 368365
Summary: git master:2016-09-07: Speed effects cannot be grouped
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: evert.vors...@yandex.com

I have added the speed effect to a couple of clips, and wanted to group them
together with some audio. The results were quite surprising.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add the speed effect to a clip, and speed it up.
2. Do the same for another clip, and add some audio to the timeline.
3. Group the clips together
4. Play the group in the Project monitor. (It may be necessary to save and
restore first)

Actual Results:
The speed effect have been reset to 100% on all the clips with the speed
effect, and the clips truncated to match the length of the clip when it was
sped up.

Expected Results:
Speed effect to persist in groups.

Have you given any thought to my suggestion of implementing the speed effect as
a clip job with an .mlt file output? This would make all the bugs with the
speed effect disappear.

I know it will be a little more difficult to apply, but that is a small price
for getting something one can actually work with. It may even be possible to
make the .mlt file generation happen in the background, so that the workflow is
not affected.

yes in newer builds from source i dont get lag in shift dragging like i

[kdenlive] [Bug 366572] git master: 2016-08-10: Speed effect not applied when audio is split out.

2016-09-06 Thread Evert Vorster via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=366572

Still and issue as of 2016-09-07.

Speed effect is not applied to the audio part of an automatically split clip.
Moreover, the video part of the clip still has audio, even through the audio
has been split out.
No audio effects can be applied to the video when the audio clip is present and
part of the group.

Have you give any thought to my suggestion of making the speed effect a .mlt
file and getting rid of this entire class of errors?

With version 0.9 on Fedora 24 and 1.4.1 on Android 4.4.4, I did the following:

1. Opened KDE Connect on Android & desktop
  - Verified devices saw one another and were paired
2. Opened KDE Connect Settings on desktop and unpaired the Android device
   - KDE Connect system tray still had data about the Android, but seemed
unresponsive
   - Android app had a button to "Request Pairing"
3. Rebooted desktop
4. Opened "Recents" on Android and swiped away KDE Connect; restarted KDE
Connect
  - Verifed devices see one another, but are not paired
5. Updated desktop to kde-connect 1.0-1.f24.x86_64
6. Rebooted desktop
7. Opened KDE Connect Settings on desktop and KDE Connect on Android
  - Noticed that neither device sees the other
8. Connect phone to desktop; run 'adb logcat'
9. Hit refresh on KDE Connect app on Android (see results below)

Hi Thomas,

I am reading carefully about your implementation about IMAGE_RAW. and please

[k3b] [Bug 257602] K3B cannot burn Blurays (or AVCHDs)

2016-09-06 Thread Leslie Zhai via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=257602

Hi Dkottmair,

> Actual Results: A disk with UDF 2.01 that will not play in a Bluray player

I do *NOT* have Blu-ray disc and players to reproduce the WRITE issue, and I
have *NOT* carefully read about linux/fs/udf source code for current Linux
kernel.

Hi Thomas,

> Burning the filesystem to media would then be easy.

As Dkottmair described, successfully burn the UDF to media, but is *NOT* v2.5
nor v2.6, that will not play in a Bluray player

> But they are written in an unappealing way. So it would need some sincere
> bribery to get this done.

So it is unfriendly to open source world?

> It might also cost money to get official specs for Blu-ray video which might
> name more constraints beyond UDF

my test enviroment is very very poor:
* plugable ASUS SDRW-08D2S-U https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CrT91GfVUAAyX9Z.jpg
* Audio CD and Video DVD for rippint test
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CrT91x6UAAA5Hmd.jpg
* CDEmu http://cdemu.sourceforge.net/about/libmirage/

then how to test Blu-ray and multisession for libburn project? by implementing
some plugins for CDEmu?

Leslie Zhai

[plasmashell] [Bug 368362] New: Panel setting "Windows can cover" fails when window is against the same edge as the panel and "Switch desktop on edge" is "Always Enabled"

2016-09-06 Thread via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 368362
Summary: Panel setting "Windows can cover" fails when window is
against the same edge as the panel and "Switch desktop
on edge" is "Always Enabled"
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.7.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Panel
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: andydecle...@gmail.com

The panel cannot be raised without clicking directly on it, in the case where
it's set with "Windows can cover" and a window is against the same edge as that
panel and "Switch desktop on edge" is "Always Enabled."

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add panel to left edge
2. Set panel to "Windows can cover"
3. Open "Screen Edges" and set "Switch desktop on edge" to "Always Enabled"
4. Put "Screen Edges" window (or any other) against the left edge, and try to
raise the panel without clicking on it

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
The panel is expected to be raised

I expect someone will say that I'm unreasonable in trying to use these features
simultaneously. To that I say:

1. I have a delay configured for the screen edges, so panels should be raised
without conflict until that time is reached

2. I have no virtual desktops at these edges I'm trying to use the panel on

I think that the lag Zafio may be referring to is different from the one
Raghavendra originally reported (needing many pen strokes to move the size),
and I don't know if the issues are related, I am experiencing some lag too kind
of "jumpy" sizing. I made a video showing in real time what I am referring to.

@Zafio, if you are referring to a lag like mine, let me know, may be we can
report a bug or find if someone already did.

Ideally both. As we don't have QML bindings yet, none of the Plasma dialogs nor

[plasmashell] [Bug 368332] 5.7.4: Click on symlinked folder in Folder View could open original directory

2016-09-06 Thread Gregor Mi via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368332

I know what you mean. But in case of the desktop a presumably common use case
leads to problems when symlinks are treated like everywhere else:

USE CASE: Create a symlink on the desktop to a place in the file system to get
back to it quickly.

Now lets assume the symlinked folder contains pdf files. If I open one of the
pdf files from the symlinked folder and the same from the original location
(which are semantically identical in the above use case) then there are two
different items in the Recent File list of okular (or LibreOffice; the only
exception there is kwrite and kate).

An alternative would be to extend the drop menu (Copy, Move, Link) with another
option like "Shortcut" which behaves like "Link to location..." and creates a
.desktop file.

[plasma4] [Bug 254884] Plasma desktop settings lost after every system crash

2016-09-06 Thread via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=254884

OK, I don't know if it is still the same problem and if the old correction
still applies. Things have changed a little. You still have to look at
~//share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc. Look for ActivityId
value. The different part now is that the configuration file that needs to be
fixed is inside activitymanagerrc (is in same directory).

Had not experienced this for a long time (actually, not since 2011).

[kdeconnect] [Bug 368357] New: Excessive log spamming

2016-09-06 Thread John Andersen via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368357

Bug ID: 368357
   Summary: Excessive log spamming
   Product: kdeconnect
   Version: 1.5
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: common
  Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
  Reporter: jsam...@gmail.com

Each time I light up my phone I see a couple of these messages in Journalctl
-ef
kdeconnectd[]: "htc" - warning, device uses a different protocol version 7
expected 5

They seem unnecessary, especially since there isn't a thing the user can do
about the asynchronous releases in Google Play and the KDE repositories.

And sending a file from phone to linux causes boaloads of these messages
"Could not find service for job "Job 7" with app name "org.kde.kdeconnectd" "

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a shell and type journalctl -ef (or use your favorite log follower)
2. light up your Android.
3. View spew

Actual Results:
Spew in logs. (By far not the worst offender - but still part of the problem).
Got more than one device? Lots more spew!

Expected Results:
Log failures and important stuff only.
If the software can handle multiple protocol versions on the fly, then a
variation is not a problem, its a feature, and need not fill the logs.

Htc One M8, android 6.0 but same behavior with different devices.

All reports of duplicates of this bug stopped shortly after Weng's proposed fix
in comment 3. This fix was included in version 15.12.0 (and even 15.11.80), and
the duplicates of this bug reports filed after the release of 15.12.0 were
still filed against 15.08.* (when the version was provided).

It seems quite obvious that Weng's fix actually solved the problem, so I close
here. I gladly reopen if someone stil sees this in version 15.12.0 or later.

Hi Sebastian, it works like charm with my external monitor, however, as you
said, it's an unstable version so it has some issues (I found that I can't
modify Global Shortcuts, for example, when I open it and it starts in the Audio
tab, I can't switch to the KWin tab).
Will this update as the unstable version is being developed or I have to
install the latest image every month if I want the latest features?
Does the devStable version have this "external monitor fix"?
Thanks for your help, really apreciated.

Git commit 8c46e8e765857b9e4d09b78c6896100dc150f964 by Milian Wolff.
Committed on 06/09/2016 at 20:17.
Pushed by mwolff into branch '5.0'.

Release the background parser lock while creating parse jobs.

This fixes a deadlock due to lock order inversion. We often elsewhere
access the background parser while holding the DUChain lock. Here,
we used to lock the background parser and then potentially locked the
DUChain. This was desastrous.

The patch here now unlocks the background parser while creating the
parse job, and relocks it again to insert the job into its internal
data structurs.

Because the background parser only ever creats jobs from the main
thread, and only one at most, this is safe to do.

not much we can do about this if you cannot reproduce it, I fear. Except

Hi Vicnet,

If the sign is entered (+ or -), then this sign is used for the created/updated
operation.
If the sign is not entered by the user, then the sign is automatically added by
skrooge by using the category.

So, it means that we need to know the category to be able to automatically
compute the sign of the operation. so, this can not be done when the focus is
lost.

Is my answer acceptable?

[kdevplatform] [Bug 363494] closing a Patch Review via (git) commit opens the documentation view

2016-09-06 Thread RJVB via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363494

I agree it doesn't make any sense, but still it is what's happening.

With all due respect, what's the point in accepting bug reports if you leave it
to the reporter to figure out what's going on, and *close* the report in the
meantime? You cannot expect everyone who's ever made small contributions to the
code to know where to start looking for this kind of weirdness if the codebase
is as huge and complex as kdevplatform + kdevelop ...

Do I have to film my screen to prove I'm not talking out the side of my neck?

Oh noes! But did you see that I mentioned this is fixed in 16.08.1? This
version will not be released before Sep 08, and might take (quite) some
additional additional time to be included in your distrobution.

I hope you did not build the current git master from sources yourself, as that
would really mean that it is not fixed in 16.08.1.

Would you please check your version number?

[skrooge] [Bug 368356] New: Show amount sign on lost focus

2016-09-06 Thread vicnet via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368356

Bug ID: 368356
Summary: Show amount sign on lost focus
   Product: skrooge
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: guillaume.deb...@gmail.com
  Reporter: vo.publi...@gmail.com
CC: steph...@mankowski.fr

It will be helpful if amount sign could be automatically added if absent when
quitting the widget.
Currently, it is added only when add/modify operation.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In amount edit widget, enter a number without sign
2. Quit edit (tab or mouse)

Actual Results:
The amount stay as it is entered.

Expected Results:
The sign + or - could be add.

This could avoid a mistake when omitting the sign as the sign will be show
before the operation edition is finished.
