What do you propose to fix the issue?

Here's a "test case"

https://github.com/Elv13/test-crosscompile

It is self contained, it will built its own version of the KF5 libraries, so
(in theory), if you have both SDK and NDK environment variables set, it should
compile and reproduce the problem

In the past I took care of producing git-ready patches, but they have been
committed without my name and there wasn't even a thanks, which isn't best
etiquette, consequently I'm just reporting the error this time.

Hope this helps.

You're absolutely correct, it wasn't obvious (at least to me) and the response
is correct and timely.

Thanks so much.

I like to use defaults wherever I can as it eases upgrade woes so I'm glad I
can continue to use Akregator.

I did Google for an answer but didn't spot it. Here's hoping the bug report
(and answer) help somebody else.

Bravos to: Andrei Slavoiu

Failing to address trivial problems like this drives people away from products.

Well done.

In 5.8.5 the mapping was adjusted for those changes. There's a chance that your
particular distribution opted for yet another window id but it should be fixed.

tarball with verbose output and two screenshots explaining the issue.

Since one of the last recent updates kaffeine uses the wrong aspect ratio for
SD dvb-c streams on my machine. HD dvb-c streams are fine and (correctly)
recognized as 16:9. sd-streams are recognized as 4:3 and therefore appear
stretched. i attached two screenshots that show this behavior. the verbose
output of libvlc does not show anything that might explain this issue, i
attached it nevertheless - first, playing a HD channel before switching to a SD
channel.

thanks a lot for your support!

Yes, that is correct, Krita only supports absolute mode. That is, actually,
what nearly every drawing tablet user uses. We won't support relative mode any
time soon, unless some volunteer steps up and implements it in a maintainable
way. Until now, nobody has cared enough to write the code.

Activities are perfect way for managing different workflows and customizing the
environment for that. However it would be great to have the possibility of
configuring different panel for different activities; e.g. the programs pinned
to the panel, or the favorite programs on application menu can be quite
different for workflows, which is not possible at the moment.

When a .so library is added to the project using add_subdirectory, then it
doesn't build for android because the RegEx used to convert the paths strip
relative paths from the point of view of the build directory.

for example, the lib will be "Qt-Color-Widgets/foo.so" will be converted to
"/foo.so".

This patch remove the RegEx first group, as it seems useless and wrong. However

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=338506

godlike: the following minimal test should show whether you have the bug even
without sourceSize. You need to install qmlscene, and save the following code
into test.qml. Put the wallpaper to the same directory (adjust the filename if
necessary) and then run with "qmlscene test.qml". It should show a very obvious
grid-like pattern (at least if you take a screenshot and zoom in). Then you can
try commenting out the sourceSize line to see whether that gets rid of the
pattern of not.

test.qml:

import QtQuick 2.5
Image {
width: 900
height: 600
source: "03162_christmaseveinseattle_3840x2400.jpg"
sourceSize: Qt.size(width, height) // try commenting this out
}

Strokes are not painting at cursor position using an "Intuos Pro" in relative
positioning mode. The pen cursor moves correctly, like a mouse, but the strokes
are painted at absolute pen coordinates, why???

It seems to me that Krita only works with tablets in "absolute mode", which is
unusable for most tablet users. (common tablets are usually from small to
medium size)

The problem seems very easy to solve since the Mouse draws correctly, at its
position. Technically speaking: Coordinates x,y should be taken from mouse
events while pressure, angle, etc. are correct (taken from pen)

BTW: Paint Tool SAI is working in relative mode even when the tablet is in
absolute mode, which is perfect.

I attached a screen movie for you to understand what I mean.

Thanks!

I rotated the wallpaper (instead of monitor) and it looked good. I can see that
grid-like pattern in both your landscape and rotated screens in your screenshot
in comment #28. I only get that pattern when sourceSize is being used. Also the
rotated images are very blurry, that would be expected when you use sourceSize.

The laptop was suspended using 2 external screens while the internal screen was

screen was active. Plasmashell crashed immediately after login.
After the crash (or before crash, I do not know) the destop reset to the
default one as described in comment 16 of bug #371734.

I suspect that bug #371734, bug #373569, bug #369537 and maybe bug #362812 are
somehow connected to this problem.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

"edit-select-none" and "edit-select-invert" are only included in Breeze and not
standard icon names (see

Sooo what should we do? I really don't know.

* change the icon names to standard ones (i couldn't find something suitable)
* include these breeze icons as fallback in the Krusader package (will look
ugly with other themes)
* do nothing (always a lazy option)

I have task manager set too...

Sorting : By Desktop
Grouping : Do Not Group

This seems to work ok until I open multiple Firefox windows. Once you open
multiple windows (not tabs) with Firefox (or multiple images in gimp), the
Firefox windows start getting sorted alphabetically by the window title (top
center). This of course has the bonus negative effect of the task manager
buttons? for each window to bounce around to different positions when you move
from web site to web site (or opening more/different images in gimp). They are
still sorted by desktop.

The old method of always putting the next same app window open to the right of
the last seems preferable, especially when if you have a lot of windows open
and the text disappears on the taskbar.

[plasmashell] [Bug 373697] New: plasma panel freezes (typically after opening kwallet)

2016-12-15 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373697

Bug ID: 373697
Summary: plasma panel freezes (typically after opening kwallet)
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.8.4
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Panel
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: stefan.schwar...@gmx.net
  Target Milestone: 1.0

I am following debian testing. In the course of a system update I have recently
pulled in a change in the kde or an underlying component that causes the plasma
panel (only the panel) to lock up (become unrespsonsive to mouse clicks, clock
and animated icons (nm) do not update). I 'updated' to unstable with caused the
freeze to become more systematic. Typical packet versions: ibkf5plasma5 at
5.28.0, plasma components (-nm, -desktop, ...) at 5.8.4. Kernel is 4.8.11, Qt
5.7.1~20161021, intel graphics. I observe similar freezes currently also at
home on a PC with AMD/Radeon graphics. Freezes do not seem to depend on
compositing. I went from GL 3.1 to Xrender without changing the behavior
noticably. I cannot identify anything in journalctl, .xsession-errors, dmesg
and the like.

Symptoms: sddm comes up, login, animated splash screen comes up, then animation
stops. Switching virtual console CTL-ALT-F1 and back to CTL-ALT-F7 gets rid of
the splash screen and exposes the desktop. At this point, the panel seems to
live (reacts to the mouse). Kwallet asks me for login info, after closing, the
panel is frozen. This has happened three times in a row which makes me
confident that I should be able to reproduce the problem. Before going to
'unstable', freezes occured at random times during work. Some applications
(Mathematica) would then freeze with the panel, then get unlocked after the
'killall plasmashell, plasmashell &' spell from a terminal.

I could help debugging (a little) if you tell me what to watch out for...

TIA, Stefan

As long as the public is aware that you're aware of the problem, and it's been
fixed in an update that they'll receive soon, then I think that works.

Can the master git branch be updated, too, so I can confirm the fix on my end,
please?

Yes, it could be a good idea to add something like this:

---

known issues (solved in git):
* Project bin disappears when changing project frame rate (bug #373534)
* Timeline guides cannot be edited (bug #373468)

These issues will be fixed in Kdenlive 16.12.1

What do you think?

No, the official 16.12 code that will be available to download will not
include all patches commited after the 8th of december, when the 16.12 tag
was set.

So all fixes made since the 9th of december will be for the official
16.12.1 release (release on the 12th of january).

However the AppImage and snap package that I am preparing right now (that
should be ready to download tomorrow) will contain all patches until today.

I tried to reproduce this with a script doing lots of file changes (touch,
mkdir, rm) - but without success.

KDirWatch is sending the dirty signal only once per 1sec, no matter how many
file changes were done. I still don't know if this is really problem.

>I found, that this problem happen very frequently, when I have started yakuake.

If that happens, how much output do you get (in another konsole instance) for

inotifywait -m /tmp

? (you may have to install the package "inotify-tools" or similar)

[plasmashell] [Bug 373695] New: Swapping menu bars with differing widgets between two monitors

 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk

Application: plasmashell (5.8.4)

Qt Version: 5.7.0
Frameworks Version: 5.28.0
Operating System: Linux 4.8.13-1-ARCH x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Archlinux Packages

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I had one (new) menu bar at the top of my left monitor. One (old) menubar at
the top of my right monitor. I used the move feature to drag the menu bar from
the right monitor to the left menu bar. First it stuck to the bottom, as
expected, then the side, as expected, then i dragged to the top, when the weird
behavior started.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
Flashing, the menu bars overlapped. At first I didn't really notice anything
had officially crashed. Once I moved the overlapping menubar from the left to
the right, the other menu bar was happily there, as expected. I noticed the red
bug report icon and figured i should report anway.

- Custom settings of the application: I don't think that this was related to
any custom settings but you can message me if you need more details. Arch
Linux, up to date 12/14/16

[krita] [Bug 373694] New: Brush Tip Doesn't Change with Brush Change after Creating New Preset

2016-12-15 Thread Ken Zutter
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373694

Bug ID: 373694
Summary: Brush Tip Doesn't Change with Brush Change after
Creating New Preset
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.1.0
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Brush engine
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: kzut...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

After creating a new preset based on an existing brush, the brush tip retained
the shape of the newly created preset regardless of brush selected. The engine
and other details will switch, but not the brush tip. Must restart to correct.
Noticed at home on 3.1.1. Steps below confirmed at work on 3.1.0

1. Open Krita, create new canvas (basic 2048x2048, 300dpi, 8bit)
2. Select Block_Basic brush
3. Draw on canvas to confirm brush selected
4. Open Edit Brush Settings dialog
5. Click Brush Tip
6. Click Mask Type dropdown
7. Select Default
(Preset is now "dirty" and name is italics and save buttons enabled)
8. Change Angle (45)
9. Change Diameter (100)
10. Load Icon
11. Draw on Icon
12. Rename Preset
13. Save to Presets
14. Click away to close dialog
15. Draw on canvas to confirm new brush tip shape
16. Change brush to Basic_Tip_Default
17. Draw - Tip is unchanged
18. Change to brush that uses smudge engine
19. Draw - Tips unchanged but has smudge effect

[plasmashell] [Bug 373579] Battery label is cut off on small (hidpi) panels

The problem is that my panel is definitely smaller than yours on the
screenshot. I mean, it's hidpi, I don't need a massive panel to be able to read
everything.

As for units being different on different systems - there's a font type in play
as well, as was addressed by https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/125773/

Bug ID: 373692
Summary: Forgot the package crashed due to creating user
account. Sorry
   Product: frameworks-baloo
   Version: 5.27.0
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Baloo File Daemon
  Assignee: pinak.ah...@gmail.com
  Reporter: pete...@gmail.com

-- Information about the crash:
Upgraded users laptop from a single 4GB DDR3 to Two 4GBDDr3. Rebooted and typed
sudo top -si to take a look at what was going on with the system, but primarly
to see the new total DRAM.. The default just popped up at that time. I was not
installing anything nor running anything myself. The user did have Firefox
running with about a dozen tabs, Thunderbirs running and inbox selected. I have
no further information.

Bug ID: 373690
Summary: Animation preview doesn't stop when clicking on a
frame while the animation is playing
   Product: krita
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Animation
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: alexan...@vourtsis.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Animation preview doesn't stop when you click on a frame on the Timeline while
the animation is playing.

It should stop the animation preview, as when you click on a frame, it means
that you want to edit it.

That behavior is present in many other animation tools like Adobe
Flash/Animate.
