[digikam] [Bug 374379] New: After drag-n-dropping photos the view shifts to far down

2016-12-30 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374379

Bug ID: 374379
Summary: After drag-n-dropping photos the view shifts to far
down
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.3.0
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: b...@bertenselena.net
  Target Milestone: ---

A minor annoyance for a long time, but as I am now organising several thousand
photos I thought it is time to report.

After dragging and dropping a set of selected pictures, the view does get
updated correctly. It remains at the same relative picture.

An example with numbers:
I'm in album view with a grid of 4 pictures wide.
I select the first 16 pictures and drop them in an other other folder.
The expected behaviour is that the first next picture that was not
selected(originally #17, now #1 ) is now in focus and in view.
However, the first picture is indeed in focus, but the view stays at at picture
#16 (originally #34) picture, so I have to scroll back up to see the next
picture I want to process.

[umbrello] [Bug 374378] New: Windows builds does not have debug symbols

2016-12-30 Thread Ralf Habacker
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374378

Bug ID: 374378
Summary: Windows builds does not have debug symbols
   Product: umbrello
   Version: 2.21.0 (KDE Applications 16.12.0)
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: umbrello-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: ralf.habac...@freenet.de
  Target Milestone: ---

While inspecting back trace from bug 373911 generated with drmingw it turns out
that umbrello Windows builds do not contain debug symbols. This makes it harder
to find crash root causes.

It should be possible to add debug symbols to installations or portable
packages of umbrello for Windows

I just hit this and found it very unintuitive. It seems weird for this to be an
X11 limitation, since a similar setup works perfectly fine in GNOME Shell. Some
UI information would be very welcome, as I was puzzled for a long while
thinking something else was wrong.

[kmymoney4] [Bug 374352] Payee merge converts imported name containing string "Check" to existing Payee name "Check"

2016-12-30 Thread Peter J . Farley III
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374352

Creating the several "Transfer From/to ..." and the "Check" Payees ahead of the
import and setting them to "No Matching" did not help resolve this issue.

When you import the test CSV file that I uploaded, use these column settings:

Col 2 -- Date (Format y m d)
Col 3 -- Number
Col 4 -- Payee
Col 5 -- Memo
Col 6 -- Debit
Col 7 -- Credit
Col 11 -- Category

There are custom categories for Income and Expense in the test CSV not found in
the standard category lists:

Income:
Banking:Transfer In
Other Income:Tax Refund

Expense:
Banking:Transfer Out
Miscellaneous/Other:Other

If there is anything I left out to help demonstrate the issue please let me
know.

[kmymoney4] [Bug 374352] Payee merge converts imported name containing string "Check" to existing Payee name "Check"

2016-12-30 Thread Jack
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374352

Given the process that you need to follow, based on what your bank provides, it
seems that the problem is likely as Allan suggested - if the payee "Check" got
created first, then based on how the matching criteria, anything with "Check"
in the column you matched to payee will match to "Check" and not create or
match with something else. In this case, if you are starting from scratch, it
might be worth manually creating that single payee, and assuring that none of
the Matching criteria are checked. I'm not completely sure that will work, but
I think it's worth trying before doing much more.

One other approach would be to manually fix the actual payee in the csv file,
rather than fixing it after import. I can't be sure whether it would be more
or less extra typing, but it might avoid the problem you are having with your
current process.

One thing to remember, hopefully once you get it sorted out this time, thing
will go more smoothly in the future.

Oh, I had incorrectly assumed neon was updated already (the Qt release was two
weeks ago). The easiest is to wait for the update.

If kdialog causes the same crash, it probably makes sense to catch a backtrace
by running it inside 'gdb'. With a backtrace, it is easier to verify where the
bug is. For more information, please see

I just checked, and it doesn't work for me too, even after I logout and login

Krita crashes on creating a new canvas on a Lenovo Ideapad 110 running Windows.
It is OpenGL unrelated as unticking doesn't do anything.

The crash log says Krita is accessing memory wrongly, so probably a fumble with

[kmymoney4] [Bug 374352] Payee merge converts imported name containing string "Check" to existing Payee name "Check"

2016-12-30 Thread Peter J . Farley III
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374352

When I begin this import process there are NO PAYEES AT ALL and no transactions
at all in the system, so there are no Payee settings to begin with. This first
import process establishes all of my Payees over the last 3 years.

I indeed do want Payee names like "Transfer to Checking" and "Check". The ones
that are simply "Check" will be manually modified by me after import to reflect
the actual hand-written Payee name on the actual check that was written, and
the Category will be changed from the imported "Misc/Other" to the true
category for that transaction. The bank I use does not OCR checks to try to
extract even the most clearly block-printed Payee names on the actual, physical
checks that I have written, so I do have to change those manually after import.

The "Transfer" Payee names are a result of online transfers initiated manually
by me between multiple accounts of multiple types (savings, checking, etc.)
linked together on the bank website. The "Transfer" items have no actual Payee
name, and I have chosen these "Transfer" Payee names to suit my personal
preferences.

The CSV import file is a processed version of the CSV items actually downloaded
from my bank, edited for consistency of format and names in the Payee and Memo
fields, and to automatically add Category fields for each edited Payee.
Unfortunately the bank "Payee" names are horribly inconsistent and change over
time as well, so pre-processing for consistency and clarity is required.

I will extract a small representative set of CSV import items which demonstrate
the problem results and the expected results and upload them soon.

FWIW, the CSV file I import has these column assignments, which I will
reiterate when I upload the sample file:

Col 2 -- Date
Col 3 -- Number
Col 4 -- Payee
Col 5 -- Memo
Col 6 -- Debit
Col 7 -- Credit
Col 11 -- Category

Thanks for all of your prompt and helpful comments. I will get to the sample
CSV as soon as I may, given RL intrusions this holiday season.

Regards,

Peter

kdenlive-git 17.03.70.r8134.e8b49071e-1
mlt 6.4.1-2

importing mp4 or mkv files causes Kdenlive to suggest 60fps even though the
videos are 30fps.

When either accepting or rejecting the "would you like to switch to ...?" blue
dialog, kdenlive crashes.

Ignoring the dialog allows me to work normally though.

Hi, Pablo,

I just tried reproducing the bug you mention, without success (i.e. it doesn't
crash). Could you give more details about your environment?
1. What version of Krita are you using?
2. What distribution of OSX are you using?
3. Does it crash when you deactivate OpenGL?
4. Could you be more specific by explaining what you do step-by-step?
5. In particular, does it crash when you select the filter, when you apply it
by clicking on "OK", etc.?

[plasmashell] [Bug 374369] New: Panel freezes with compositing enabled and displays out-of-date content

2016-12-30 Thread Daniel Miranda
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374369

Bug ID: 374369
Summary: Panel freezes with compositing enabled and displays
out-of-date content
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.8.4
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

Created attachment 103104
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=103104=edit
Screenshot (icons blurred for privacy)

After some amount of time (or due to some circumstance I cannot determine), the
panel will "freeze", and get stuck displaying a very old image (from hours
ago). Icons will no longer be updated or highlighted, but interaction works -
clicking in the areas corresponding to the icons works fine, and even
attempting to change panel settings works, but it *does not* make the panel
update correctly.

Compositing is enabled, with KWin set to OpenGL (tried both 2.0 and 3.1).
Setting vsync to automatic, full or cheap doesn't change anything (haven't
tried XRender or other vsync settings yet).

A screenshot demonstrating the issue is attached.

System setup:

Fedora 25 x86_64
Plasma 5.8.4
KDE Frameworks 5.27.0
Qt 5.7.1
Linux 4.8.15
NVIDIA proprietary drivers (375.26)

It seems like xinput recently added support for Shuttle devices, which passes
the events to Qt. Unfortunately the support seems limited and there is no way
to make the difference between a mouse wheel event and a shuttle wheel event
through xinput > Qt. So I would recommend that you disable the shuttle device
in xinput. This way, the device is only managed by our internal Kdenlive code
and will only affect the timeline seeking. To disable the device under xinput,
open a terminal:

xinput list

Will print a list of detected device. For me:
(...)
↳ CAVS SpaceShuttle A/V id=13 [slave pointer (2)]

Then:
xinput set-int-prop 13 "Device Enabled" 8 0
(where 13 is the device id given from the above command).

This will disable the handling of the device by xinput and you then need to
enable the shuttle in Kdenlive's settings dialog.

Should fix most of the crashes you experienced since shuttle buttons were
recognized as mouse clicks and interfered with expected behavior. Please let me
know if it helps.

[kdenlive] [Bug 374362] New: Jog wheel scrolls in timeline and file list

2016-12-30 Thread Christian Weiske
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374362

Bug ID: 374362
Summary: Jog wheel scrolls in timeline and file list

   Version: 16.12.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: cwei...@cweiske.de
  Target Milestone: ---

I've got a ShuttleXpress contour jog wheel to quickly navigate inside clips.

With kdenlive 16.12 I have the problem that scrolling the wheel does not only
move the current play position in the clip/project video, but also on user
interface elements:

- When the mouse hovers the "project bin" file list and I use the wheel, the
file list scrolls up and down
- When the mouse hovers the timeline, using the wheel scrolls the timeline
forward
- When the mouse hovers tabs in the user interface, using the wheel switches
tabs forward

This makes the wheel hard to use since I always have to move the mouse cursor
to an empty space (like the settings tab) in which using the wheel does
nothing.

The wheel still adjusts the play position inside the clip/project as it should.

Unfortunately, my banks don't really have a concept of Payee, but tend to use
the field more descriptively. Such entries as these are not uncommon. One can
select to copy the payee field to the memo, but the matching still goes by the
payee.

Please note that the import is not changing any names, it is matching the
imported row to an existing payee - albeit not the one you want. As Allan
asked - check whether you have matching turned on for the "Check" payee. In
addition, I would even ask if you really want to have a payee named "Check"?

Separately, things like "Transfer to Checking" and the others you listed do not
seem like payees at all, but more likely a Memo field. So - I wonder if this
is a problem with terminology.

Final point - when you do a CSV import, you have to specify which columns
contains the various fields. Until you can provide a sample csv file, and
state which columns you map to which fields for csv import, I have trouble
imagining that a column with "Transfer to Checking" really contains what you
want to match to a Payee.
