[digikam] [Bug 381845] New: Import tool creates wrong folder names

2017-06-30 Thread Karl Mistelberger
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381845

Bug ID: 381845
Summary: Import tool creates wrong folder names
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.6.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Import
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: karl.mistelber...@nefkom.net
  Target Milestone: ---

Digikam import tool creates directories named according to camera date. However
camera date/time as displayed by import tool is erroneously 2 hours ahead
(using CEST).

Thus all photos taken between 22:00 and 24:00 CEST go to a folder corresponding
to the next day:

KWin uses the window icon as specified by the window. The task manager cares
more about applications than the icons and thus tries to prefer the application
icon.

The difference is expected and wanted by having KWin focus on the window. The
main idea is to allow multiple windows to have different icons.

[plasma4] [Bug 381844] New: Weather widget never updates

2017-06-30 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381844

Bug ID: 381844
   Summary: Weather widget never updates
   Product: plasma4
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: widget-weather
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: az...@chemist.com
CC: shawn.st...@rogers.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Version is actually 4.13.3, but that option was not available.
This is in regards to the standard Weather Widget (not the LCD one) that comes
with the desktop.
After Logging in the widget gets the weather, it's set to update every 30
minutes, it never does. You have to log out and in again, or reboot to get it
to update. (LCD does the same just as a test)
This is Kubuntu 14.04.5 w/Kubuntu backports enabled, KDE 4.13.3 installed.
Weather is from noaa. This resides on my panel, not in my systray.
This was working perfectly in 12.04, and I'm sure this was working in 14.04.5
recently. Unfortunately I'm not sure when it died. There is no way to manually
update it other than logging out. This is on a Dell Desktop. Same thing on a
Lenovo laptop, except the LCD test resulted in Wettercom as the only options.

Any clue how to fix? Or why it's frozen?

Git commit 16d159e7b910080011a6405cab1739217ae68c80 by Michael Pyne.
Committed on 01/07/2017 at 02:19.
Pushed by mpyne into branch 'master'.

Search for KEmoticons, which is a dependency per the CMake config.cmake.in.

In fact it's been a dependency since 2014 if I'm reading the git
annotate right. I've also updated the kde-build-metadata.

[kdenlive] [Bug 381843] New: Compile error on Opensuse Tumbleweed

Hey guys. OpenSuse Tumbleweed w/GCC7. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
I have been compiling kdenlive master for over a year the same way. Now it
fails at the line:
=
profilemodel.cpp:54:39: error: ‘class Mlt::Profile’ has no member named
‘is_valid’
 return (!m_invalid) && m_profile->is_valid();
=
I have tried Aplications/17.04 as of today(2017-06-30) and it fails as well.
I'm sure it must be my box since no one else is mentioning this error on the
inter-tubes, but I am a little stuck right now. The Appimage works except I
need the patent encumbered codecs.

See below for snippet of compile log:

Tom, I have one idea.

Can you confirm that fd_hard_limit is getting from getrlimit? If so I think the
right way to OS X is using getdtablesize and be sure that F_DUPFD argument less
that returned value by getdtablesize.

[akregator] [Bug 378513] kontact or akregator crash after close/restart

2017-06-30 Thread Alexey A Nikitin

Alexey A Nikitin changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||moonwal...@syrius.us

For me the crash happens absolutely every time I launch Akregator in standalone
mode and every time I close Kontact if I launch Akregator as part of Kontact.
If I launch Kontact I can see articles in Akregator, but I cannot do anything
with them - keyboard shortcuts don't work, context menu doesn't pop up on
right-click, going through main application menu all of the items in Article
menu are greyed out. If I create a new user account on my machine and start
Akregator there it starts fine. In existing account I tried deleting
~/.local/share/akregator and ~/.config/akregatorrc but I still see the same
symptoms.

The stack trace of the crashing thread in case of closing Kontact is similar:

[frameworks-kdelibs4support] [Bug 381839] New: surprise dependency on KEmoticons

2017-06-30 Thread RJVB
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381839

Bug ID: 381839
   Summary: surprise dependency on KEmoticons

The KDELibs4support framework has developed a surprise/hidden dependency on
KEmoticons which doesn't show up in the CMake summary after configuring the

configuring a dependent like kio-extras - provide KEmoticons is available.

Yet, when you configure kio-extras without having the KEmoticons framework
available, the following error is generated:

I haven't checked when this hidden dependency was introduced. It will probably
not affect most users who simply install all existing frameworks, but it can
lead to surprises to packagers (who probably also have all frameworks
installed).

Build systems that print summaries like is custom for KF5 should ideally also
check for runtime and equivalent dependencies and report even if they're
satisfied.

On Mageia DK 5.6 shows the geotagged pictures on the map. But it is far slower
than DK 5.6 under windows (30 sec against 5sec to display a bloc of 6000
images), and seems also less fluid and responsive than DK 5.5 on Ubuntu. It
starts to be responsive with blocs of image below 1000.

Without a backtrace we have no chance to investigate the issue. Though given
your report I'm very confident that we will see the crash ending in the
proprietary NVIDIA driver. All the steps with full composition pipeline etc.
are just workarounds for the proprietary driver. Not much we can do about it
(especially as most of the devs are not using NVIDIA hardware).

[krita] [Bug 381837] New: *.ico-files Save and Open don't work

2017-06-30 Thread SALZKARTOFFEEEL
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381837

Bug ID: 381837
Summary: *.ico-files Save and Open don't work
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.1.4
  Platform: Windows CE
OS: Windows CE
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: File formats
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: salzkartoffe...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Contradictory to what the official website says here:
https://docs.krita.org/File_Menu, the opening of Icon files does not work and
the Saving/Exporting only seem to work partially. Dragging them into the Krita
window works nothing better than selecting Open from the File menu. In the Save
and the Export dialog, "*.ico" IS listed under "All supported formats", yet not
separately and DOES work however.

I've just checked again, nowhere (not on the site, nor in the actual program)
does it explicitly say that Krita should be able OPEN .ico-files... What is the
point in that though? I can literally save a file, try to open it and Krita
will not know what to do with it and call it "unknown"... This is somewhat
retarded in my opinion.
I see why this could be intended. Since .ico-files usually store multiple
versions of an icon in one file, opening them could be considered more
complicated than saving them. But again, this shouldn't be preventing me from
opening something I just saved.

Please actually fix this bug and add the feature in, DON'T JUST REMOVE THE
ARTICLE ON THE WEBSITE, please.

Thanks, it would help a lot if you could find a solution to this, maybe even
another dialog for opening .ico-files in which the user can select the
version/size of the icon.

2017-06-30 Thread Martin Flöser

The problem is in the state handling. When clicking hide button on the lower
right we also do not get the animation. So the state does not get updated. The
button on the lower left is bound to the whether the keyboard is visible, thus
it updates. But when clicking the button, showHide is called and that will set
to hidden state.

Here is the replicated bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381806

I believe this is because of kde is fetching the themes from the network, since
I saw a flash in the kcm window then the "Apply" button becomes clickable.

  Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based)
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Qt Version: 5.6.1
Frameworks Version: 5.35.0
Operating System: Linux 4.4.0-83-generic x86_64
Distribution: Linux Mint 18.1 Serena

-- Information about the crash:
Krita crashed on start when I tried to open a .psb (Photoshop Intelligent

2017-06-30 Thread David Edmundson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381835

Bug ID: 381835
   Summary: RunnerManager::queryFinished never emitted
   Product: frameworks-krunner
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

QObject::connect(job->decorator().data(),
SIGNAL(done(ThreadWeaver::JobPointer)), q,
SLOT(jobDone(ThreadWeaver::JobPointer)));
Queue::instance()->enqueue(job);

is broken.

In order to get signals from the decorator you have to actually run the
decorator, not the decoratee (which is a bit odd and clearly not a decorator
pattern at all)

Changing that is harder than it would seem because Runner dynamic_casts the
jobs to FindMatchJob all over the place as it manually bookeeps the jobs
despite bookmarking jobs being *literally the entire point of threadweaver*.

[kwin] [Bug 381834] New: Some applications crash and disable Kwin compositing if sync to VBlank is enabled

2017-06-30 Thread Kamil
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381834

Bug ID: 381834
Summary: Some applications crash and disable Kwin compositing
if sync to VBlank is enabled
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.10.3
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: scene-opengl
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: redredempt...@protonmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I was told to report the bug again and relate it to Kwin, even if only Krita
triggers it at the moment.

The steps I included in the previous bug report to prevent it from happen are
still valid. Nevertheless, I found more traces relevant to the issue.

Also, I can't provide any backtrace.

1)Forcing a full composition pipeline.

a)Solves the issue; screen tearing is not present, and Krita doesn't make Kwin
crash/disable compositing.

-The downside is that the OpenGL applications/games run choppy; However,
suspending compositing with the hotkey - Alt+Shift+F12 fixes it.

2)Enabling triple buffering with a script in a directory /etc/profile.d/, and
an entry in xorg.conf that enables triple buffering for the driver itself.

a)The bug is present; Krita makes Kwin crash/disable compositing.
Using either "Sync to V-blank" or "Allow Flipping" option in the NVIDIA driver
settings have no effect to the bug.

-If "Sync to V-blank" is enabled, V-Sync will not work upon restarting Kwin
compositing after a crash. (Furthermore, Krita won't make Kwin crash in this
case, even if V-Sync wasn't explicitly disabled by an user.)

-If "Allow Flipping" is enabled, V-Sync will work upon restarting Kwin
compositing after a crash.

[kscreenlocker] [Bug 381833] New: virtual keyboard gets state-confused

2017-06-30 Thread Harald Sitter
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381833

Bug ID: 381833
   Summary: virtual keyboard gets state-confused
   Product: kscreenlocker
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: breeze-theme
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: sit...@kde.org
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, mgraess...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

when hiding the virutal keyboard through its hide button the 'Virtual Keyboard'
button doesn't seem to notice that it was hiden resulting in a double-hide.

master + Qt 5.9.0

- click 'Virtual Keyboard' button to show keyboard
- hide keyboard using the hide keyboard button in the lower right corner of the
keyboard
- keyboard hides
- click 'Virtual Keyboard' to show keyboard again
- layout of the lock screen biefly seems to adjust a bit. scooting everything
down to get to default spacing again
- keyboard does not show at this point.
- click 'Virtual Keyboard' again
- this time the keyboard properly shows up

What is most peculiar is that the green indicator light on the keyboard icon is
correctly turned off upon clicking the hide button, so it knows to some degree
that the keyboard is hidden.

[kaffeine] [Bug 374693] kaffeine does not tune into some dvb-s channels

2017-06-30 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374693

The comparison of the previously attached channelfile without workaround and
that with workaround shows, that without the workaround, only channels with
polarization=V appear; while after the workaround [running VLC at least until
the line

if (ioctl (d->frontend, FE_ENABLE_HIGH_LNB_VOLTAGE, ) < 0 && val)

], channels with both polarization=V and polarization=H appear (and the latter
file is larger). Since this problem does not only appear with kaffeine, but
also with w_scan, could this have to to with the underlying system? (which is
somehow initialized more comprehensively by vlc).

Ralf - if you can post to the mailing list or send to me directly a list of
items for that page, I will take care of the actual editing. Also - I intend
to add a note that not all changes from 4.8.0 to 4.8.1 are fully reflected in
the manual, since most efforts are aimed at completing 5.0. So - if there are
any particular changes that anyone thinks do need to be addressed in the 4.8.1
manual, please let me know, so I can try to fix them within the next week or
two.

[krita] [Bug 381830] New: Heightmap import is "transposed"

2017-06-30 Thread Victor Wåhlström
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381830

Bug ID: 381830
   Summary: Heightmap import is "transposed"
   Product: krita
   Version: git master
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: File formats
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: victor.wahlst...@initiali.se
  Target Milestone: ---

When importing a heightmap, the result looks transposed. If the heightmap is
symmetrical this is easy to miss.

The easiest way to verify this is to create a heightmap in a different tool,
then save it as both raw heightmap data (r16) and PNG. You can then load both
in Krita and observe the difference.

The team is working on releasing 4.8.1, but please remember we are all
volunteers with real lives, so it never goes as fast as we want it to.
However, given the current efforts, it appears likely to be within another
month or two. Most of the developers efforts are going towards releasing
version 5 (for KDE Frameworks) which will also include all the fixes for 4.8.1.
