This bug is against kruler "version 5.0" in the 5.8.7 LTS Repository.  (That
choice was missing above - should it be added?)

KDE Plasma version: 5.8.7
KDE Framework version: 5.32.0
QT Version 5.6.1

Problem is that if you launch "Configure KDE Screen Ruler" >> "Advanced" and
then *untick* the "Always on top" box and then click "Apply" or "OK", it will
work for the remainder of the time the app is running, but then next time you
start it, it will again be in "Always on top" mode even though the box will
show as unticked.

In short, there's no way to permanently save a preference that you don't want
it on top of all windows - you have to reconfigure it do to that every time you
launch it.

I was able to use this in OpenSUSE 42.2 by adding the 5.8.7 LTS KDE Repository
manually, after the OpenSUSE team refused to take the update.

I am seeing one slight issue with the scrolling fix.  There appears to be a
slight  "bounce" when you reach the top or bottom - the list of task instances
will scroll past the end and the "bounce" back.  Is there any way to eliminate
that?

Also, is there any way to convince the OpenSUSE team to take this update in
42.2 (which is using the 5.8.7 LTS stream)?  It's inconvenient to have a
separate repository in the dependencies because I have to separately update it.

was searching for apps when the crash happened. this is not the first time and
has on multiple instances whether searching or updating will randomly crash.
Fresh Install, checksum checked iso and no issues. version 17.04.

I don't think the queue is meant to stick if you change the order, and pressing
the previous button definitely does that. 

While I can confirm this behavior, I don't think this is a bug, if you want to
stick to a specific order of tracks you need to change the order of tracks in
the playlist, not just in the queue. Moving to wishlist as this is the normal
behavior of a queue.

Likely related to bug #323732

BTW: reassigning to playback, a queue is not a dynamic playlist.

I confirm this, happens on win7 too. 

Krita doesn't change the modified status of a file(* symbol in the header of
the file/window) if only a layer name through the layer docker was changed and
thus not giving an option to save the file since it thinks nothing have
changed.

When merging a bunch of layers sorted in a certain way(and with different
visibility set up) krita merge them in a wrong way and when undo is pressed
krita crashes after a couple of seconds.

Steps to reproduce:
1. download the file:

(I've created the file specifically for this case, and I have similar and
stable crashes on another file)
2. Select all the layers from "merge from this layer" to "to this", including
group layer.
3. Press ctrl-e to merge 'em.
4. After the merge press ctrl-z to undo.
5. Krita crashes.

I have i7/16gb/gtx964 setup on windows 7 64bit and with this file got crash
three out of three times I've tested it(with different layer structure results
was not so consistent but still I was getting crashes pretty often).

Hi

Can confirm that it is not fixed. Plasma 5.10.2 and Qt 5.9 on KDE Neon
packages.

It is difficult to reproduce though as it happens at unforseen time intervals,
from half an hour to several hours. But when it happens it stays there for any
period of time. One has to change the Comic tab to stop it or restart plasma.
I can provide an strace/ltrace or other means of debug info next time it
happens if that helps.

There's not a great deal we can do; nvidia replaces the openGL lib that gets
loaded, if that can't load the kernel module, it's that which crashes.

We can't use openGL when the setup is broken at all. 
Also you said the login manager crashed, which is before plasmashell.

There was some work by me to use Qt's 2D renderer, but you need to know that
openGL won't work before you load a broken module.

Having one stone handicap should be to normally play as Black (with no komi).
It's a bit confusing compared to other games, since Black's first move is just
to place its handicap stones, so a `n' stone handicap actually means just `n-1'
extra stones for Black compared to a non-handicap game.
Also, only with 2 or more handicap stones traditional fixed positions for
handicap placement are used (at least, under Japanese rules), so it makes sense
to have them preset, while a 1 handicap stone (i.e. a normal Black's first
move) can be freely placed.

Every time I try to colour or select a brush or a layer it just freezes and
every time I put down a colour and drag my digital drawing pen across my tablet
he colour takes times to load .When I try to change the different formats it
freezes and does not load.

I'm not a go player so i've no idea if this makes sense or not, but related to
this, why is there no "1 stone handicap" and it goes from 2 stones to no
stones?

Should it also have 1 stone handicap?

I need to export photo on flickr but when i click on "add an account"

I installed the french language pack (language-pack-kde-fr) and when i click on
one of the three buttons rise, transit en set, kstars crash. But if i change
the application language to english, i have not this issue.

The Lens description is given from Exiv2 from markernotes decoding. The
markenotes from Canon is copied as well in DNG, but for obscur reasons, Exiv2
do not decode this as with CR2 file.

I recommend to ask to Exiv2 team, by providing both CR2 and DNG files to
investigate.

In all cases, no DK code can be fixed to handle this metadata, as i know...

After converting CR2 files into DNG, some metadata of lens are missing. It lost
Lens manufacture so automatic lens corretion tools can't choose right lens
automatically.

Please, pay attention to "Lens" in the file in attach. "Cannon " is missing in
DNG.

yes, all file dialogs need to be fixed.

If native file dialog Qt wrapper is bugous, why to provide an option to change
this behavior ? How deal other Qt applications ? VLC, Clementine, Scribus,

I think it is the native file dialog. I want that now times for all file
dialogs in digiKam to fix. An option in Setup to select whether to use a native

If I have foo.h with:

void foo();
struct Bar {
int field;
};

And main.cpp with:

extern "C" {
#include "foo.h"
}
int main() {
foo();
Bar* b;
int x = b->field;
}

The call to foo appears in black and doesn't show a tooltip. The same happens
with 'Bar' and 'field'. However, nothing is underlined as an error either.

As a workaround, I can remove (or comment out) the extern "C" wrapper, save the
file, and reload. Then the highlighting starts working. Now I can add extern
"C" again and it keeps working. If I reload the file I have to do the
workaround again.

Note that this doesn't happen if it's all in the same file, ie. having extern
"C" { void foo(); } in either the .cpp or in the header.

Hello! I am in the unfortunate position of having the official propietary
driver completely broken.
But, today I decided to try to switch to the propietary driver...

What I expected to happen:
Somewhere it would fail.
When I tried this in Linux Mint (Cinnamon), it let me log in, but told me an
error occured when starting Cinnamon. This was the best experience so far.
When I tried this in Ubuntu, it simply made a login loop. Not a big deal.

What actually happened:
When I tried this in (Linux Mint) KDE, it didn't even show the login screen!
Neither could I switch to a TTY, so I had to use the GRUB2 menu to take me into
recovery mode (which was buggy as heck), and I was finally able to uninstall
the broken driver.

I guess this is more of a feature request than a crash, but basically I'm
asking you (I don't know anything about developing a desktop environment
myself): Would it possible for KDE to handle broken drivers better?
Maybe like Linux Mint (Cinnamon) did? Without any issues apart from when I was
actually logged in to the system.
Or maybe like Ubuntu, which at least let me to the login screen so I could open
a TTY.

Kwin update 5.10.3.1-1 solves the issue of long hanging upon a crash. Though,
it brings another issue. I can no longer re-enable OpenGL compositing (the blue
caution box in the compositor settings that allowed to do so is no longer
available/switching to XRender and OpenGL2/3.1 back doesn't work either), and I
have to logout from KDE Plasma session..

I think that one point even the library was 4.x and kdevelop 5.x.
But also different 5.x

result was that background parser got stuck and on compile it crashed and Qt
project was not opened (custom dev make manager)
(additionally, it crashes without 3D acceleration, which is a bit nuisance for
me). So I deleted sessions and messed with other config files...

Searching net for clues, I came up suggestion to have library version same as
kdevelop and that solved the problem - seems that other people have had the
same long trouble.
