Created attachment 106442
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=106442=edit
Debug info when running mesa 17

I've attached the support information. I made a before version as well, but the
only differences are kwin version (5.10.2 instead of 5.10.3) and the
mesa/opengl versions.

[digikam] [Bug 382002] New: Lazy synchronization not working

2017-07-04 Thread Andrius
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382002

Bug ID: 382002
   Summary: Lazy synchronization not working
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.6.0
  Platform: Appimage
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Metadata
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: aegor...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Hello,
I am continuing this thread here:
http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/Lazy-sync-in-5-6-0-td4696891.html

I don't think Lazy Synchronization is working.

Very easy to reproduce:
1. Select 100 or 200 images
2. Add a title or a caption to all of them
3. Press Apply

Expected behavior:
digiKam isn't doing anything right way waiting for user to "Apply pending
changes to metadata"

Actual behavior:
digiKam rescanning the images and regenerating thumbnails.
Program is not responding while this happening which slows down the workflow.

Terminal looks like this for each file:

First this:

digikam.dimg:
"/mnt/data/FamilyPictures/2017/2017-07/2017-07-03/20170703_115517_117.DNG" :
RAW file identified
digikam.database: Finishing took 683 ms
digikam.database: Scanning took 2068 ms
digikam.database: Finishing took 579 ms
digikam.database: Scanning took 1820 ms
digikam.database: Finishing took 471 ms

then this:

kipi.plugins: KIPI host send thumb ( QSize(256, 170) ) for
QUrl("file:///mnt/data/FamilyPictures/2017/2017-07/2017-07-03/20170703_115517_117.DNG")
digikam.general: Received new thumbnail for url

. My view is  Digikam::DImagesListView(0x555ed9a0f8a0)

Which KDevelop version?
What's the exact wording of the error message?
And why do you work with a Pentium III, which is a ~15 year old processor?!

Needless to say, fixing this issue has the lowest possible importance for us.

+1
Item (not Album) - Open in File Manager would be what I am looking for.

[digikam] [Bug 382001] New: Wishlist: Copy metadata from one file to another

2017-07-04 Thread wildcowboy

Bug ID: 382001
Summary: Wishlist: Copy metadata from one file to another
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.7.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Metadata
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: aegor...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Hello,
I was thinking it would be great to be able to copy metadata from one file to
another (or multiple files via digikam context menu.
Something like this:
1. Select image in thumbnails view
2. Right click
3. Copy metadata
3. A window pops up where you can check the boxes for what metadata do you want
to copy with ability to save selections as default so the window won't pop-up
next time.
4. Select image(s) you want to paste metadata to
5. Right click
6. Paste metadata

Metadata selection could be as follows:
1. All of the metadata including original dates, camera model, etc. Analog of
exiftool -TagsFromFile
2. Date taken
3. Title
4. Caption
5. Tags(keywords)
6. GPS (similar option currently present in Geolocation Editor)
etc. etc. etc. (can be discussed)

What do you think?

When started on non-SSE2 machine (Pentium 3 ... in 2017 ... o_0 ;) it crashes
with the message that it requires SSE2. It is marked as i386, but most i386
(and some i686) don't have SSE2 instruction set. I wonder why you have made
such a restriction and if you can lift it?

[Spectacle] [Bug 381528] Unable to capture rectangular screenshot

2017-07-04 Thread Ľudovít Lučenič
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381528

Hi Francisco, the versions of Plasma and Spectacle are those of Neon 5.10.2
(listed at the end of my post).

Actually I have switched to Debian 9 (stretch) recently and found out that
Spectacle does not work for me (the rectancular screenshot take) here either.
However in this cause I get at least the bubble with instructions, but I cannot
select anything with my mouse (clicking is ignored). The only way out is that I
switch to other application e.g. via Alt-Tab. Here it is Plasma 5.8.6 and
Spectacle 16.08.3.

It may be problematic my desktop resolution as I have three monitors setup
(laptop's display (1920x1080), one 4K pivot (2160x3840) external monitor and
one Ultra-wide (3440x1440); put in left to right order) totally making a
virtual resolution of 7520 by 3840 pixels, of not rectangular area shape.

May this "extraordinary" setup be the cause of Spectacle not being able to
capture the rectancular area ?

Git commit 13c063a1500c34b33b25a8008394af2cb65534ac by Andrius Štikonas.
Committed on 04/07/2017 at 20:07.
Pushed by stikonas into branch 'master'.

Fix a possible null pointer dereference.

On some systems getlogin() function might fail to obtain user name.
For now just check whether pointer is nullptr. In that case suspending
plasma device automounter would not work but at least we will not crash.

In future it might make sense to try to use other methods of obtaining login
name, such as running "who am i".

[partitionmanager] [Bug 381987] Partitionmanager fails to get root privileges with latest kpmcore

ok, what happens is getlogin() function fails to obtain a username, returns an
empty pointer and then KDE Partition Manager crashes on nullptr dereference.

We need to add a check in kpmcore.

But I wonder why getlogin() fails. Is Arch/Parabola doing something strange
with glibc?

[kate] [Bug 381997] New: Kate doesn't receive a lenghty text paste from Firefox

2017-07-04 Thread LordDan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381997

Bug ID: 381997
Summary: Kate doesn't receive a lenghty text paste from Firefox
   Product: kate
   Version: 16.08
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: application
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: einlan...@gmx.net
  Target Milestone: ---

Greetings. I'm using Kate on Debian 9 Stable.

I can't copy/paste a big text from Firefox to Kate (and Kwrite).

How to reproduce:

1 - Go to to this site:
https://www.gamefaqs.com/android/732857-final-fantasy-iv-the-after-years/faqs/56731
2 - Copy the text (just the text or the entire page gives the same result)
3 - Paste it on a new Kate file

Well, the Gedit app (installed on KDE 5.8) does the task instantly...

Well, it's just shameful that KDE still can't power off an USB removable hard

Others DEs do it: Gnome, XFCE, Windows, MacOS... Perhaps LXDE.
I still rely on Gnome Disk Utility (Disks) for safe removal of an external
HD...

[marble] [Bug 381872] Crash when adding bookmark with UTM view angle

2017-07-04 Thread Wolfgang Bauer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381872

PS, The crash got "introduced" by this change:
https://cgit.kde.org/marble.git/commit/?id=7859bf1cc1fdaf07b70446b1530358bff7bf43e3

I'd suggest to revert this (even in the 17.04 branch) until it's implemented
properly.

FTR, see src/lib/marble/LatLonEdit.cpp line#549 ff:

[konsole] [Bug 381994] New: konsole crashes (in this case without user interaction)

2017-07-04 Thread Bryan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381994

Bug ID: 381994
Summary: konsole crashes (in this case without user
interaction)
   Product: konsole
   Version: 16.08.2
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: kde-b...@omega71.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: konsole (16.08.2)

Qt Version: 5.6.1
Frameworks Version: 5.26.0
Operating System: Linux 4.4.73-18.17-default x86_64
Distribution: "openSUSE Tumbleweed"

-- Information about the crash:
I wasn't actually doing anything with konsole for at least 30 seconds when all
of the konsole windows crashed and the bug report dialog popped up. This has
happened multiple times before, though relatively infrequently. I can't
pinpoint any one specific thing that is happening around the time of the
crashes, because, as I said, sometimes it just crashes without any apparent
user interaction.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

[konsole] [Bug 381993] New: Regression against qt 5.9.1: Tab riders fill konsole window width

2017-07-04 Thread Andreas Eckstein
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381993

Bug ID: 381993
Summary: Regression against qt 5.9.1: Tab riders fill konsole
window width
   Product: konsole
   Version: 17.04.2
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: tabbar
  Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: andreas.eckst...@gmx.net
  Target Milestone: ---

I've noticed a small regression after upgrading to qt 5.9.1 (all of frameworks,
plasma and applications rebuilt against it): The tab riders fill the whole
length of the konsole window, making it impossible to open a new tab by
double-clicking the empty part of the tab bar.

2017-07-04 Thread Christoph Feck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380879

Qt no longer offers a mode where the tabs have fixed size (to avoid constant
resizing on directory changes), but with some space available.

In Konsole, we can either leave it as is, revert to non-exanding tabs, or hope
that someone at Qt sees the need for the previous existing mode.

It appears that Oleg Yadrov from Qt is certain that this is a Konsole bug. The
originally reported bug (https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-61362) was
closed as 'Invalid' and the offspring bug
(https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-61480) was fixed in a way that still
leaves the Konsole tabbar broken.

[kdevplatform] [Bug 381990] New: Duplicate files in quickopen

2017-07-04 Thread Alexander Potashev
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381990

Bug ID: 381990
   Summary: Duplicate files in quickopen
   Product: kdevplatform
   Version: git master
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: quickopen
  Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: aspotas...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I see two entries for some files when searching for them in quickopen. My guess
it that QuickOpenModel::fileSet() should deduplicate items of the "merged"
container, didn't check if that helps yet.

I can confirm, I'm also on 5.35 and notifications and krunner seem to go
randomly on the top left corner.
