Since digiKAm 5.0, the red eyes tool from digiKam core use eyes auto-detection
on face. No need a manual selection. This permit to use this tool in BQM
without any user interaction.

Fresh install of Fedora 26 (KDE) - when I try to start software center
(Discover) it crashes - have tries many times and always crashes. Never go the
application to work.Tried to auto report the error, butit said it was a closed

Just confirming this affects me as well. System is gentoo, package is
kde-frameworks/baloo-5.34.0.

Some quick commands to test:

cd ~/tmp
mkdir kde-search-test
cd kde-search-test
mkdir dir1
mkdir dir2
touch dir1/rareword.txt
touch dir2/rareword.txt
cd ..
baloosearch filename:rareword
baloosearch filename:rareword --directory kde-search-test/dir1/

(Might have to run "balooctl index kde-search-test/", etc. for the files to get
indexed, before running baloosearch.)

The baloosearch command simply ignores the --directory parameter.

This would perhaps not be too severe if it just affected the baloosearch
command; unfortunately, it's also affecting programs tying into baloo. See, for
example, bug 379665, 'search is not working in "from here"', filed under
dolphin. There, we see basically the same behavior: dolphin returns search
results from the entire system, ignoring the "from here" switch that's supposed
to restrict results to the current directory.

This bug exists for me as well, in dolphin 16.12.3 and 17.04.3. One note: The
submitter said he got no results for "From Here". My behavior is different, the
same as the other commenter: the same search results are returned, whether
"From Here" or "Everywhere" is selected.

System is gentoo; all package versions are:

The bug also affects:

(An update to baloo is in unstable (kde-frameworks/baloo-5.36), but I can't
test that at the moment.)

It's important to note that this isn't dolphin's fault: it's a problem with
baloo. Someone already filed bug 378884 ("baloosearch doesn't respect
--directory parameter") under frameworks-baloo.

You can test this w/ a command like:

baloosearch filename:some_filename --directory some_directory/

The --directory parameter is just ignored, and returns results for the entire
system.

I've finally managed to get it working by using some files from UC Logics
drivers,(what the Huion tablets are based off of). The right click and middle
click seem to work without issue. Here are the steps to get it working.

1. You need the driver for you tablet from Huion. The one i used as of writing
this is 12.3.7. link:https://www.huiontablet.com/support/

2. next you need to download the UC Logic driver.
link:https://www.uc-logic.com/downloads/ 

3. Install the Huion driver, making sure to remember it's location.

4. extract the UC Logic driver and navigate to the common directory.

5. copy everything inside except the x32 and x64 folders to your Huion install
location. 

and that's it. you may need to restart or re-plug your tablet for it to take
effect, but it should be working as expected now.

Hi, I discovered that on Windows platform, Digikam is storing it's `digikamrc`
configuration in %LOCALAPPDATA%, which is wrong.

%LOCALAPPDATA% is a place that is tied to the local computer and can be safely
thrown away, it's the right place for cache things (like `digikam/cache`, but
not for config file.

For example, while connecting to a random workstation belonging to a Windows
Domain %LOCALAPPDATA% would be something like
"C:\Users\\AppData\Local" but %APPDATA% would be something like
"AppData".
On this configuration, the backup system only have to backup %APPDATA%.

On a Windows Domain setup, %APPDATA% is either available by roaming or by
network drive, meaning any user can connect to any computer and recover it's
own config file if this configfile is stored in %APPDATA%. It also means a
computer can break and the user lost nothing. The sysadmin just put throw away
the faulty computer and put a brand new one without having to copy files from
the faulty computer.

On the contrary, if the config file is mistakenly stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%
instead of %APPDATA%, everytime an user switch its computer (because it was
replaced, or because computers are not tied to one user and everyone can use
every computer), this user will have to reconfigure Digikam from scratch, and
of course, the user will end with as many different configurations as computer
he logged in. This also means that if the drive is lost, the digikam
configuration is lost.

%LOCALAPPDATA% is not meant to be on backup, it's for local cache and stuff
like that. %LOCALAPPDATA% is meant to store stuff that can change when user
change its computer, which is not an user expects from a configuration file.

So, stuff like `digikamrc` and `digkam_tagmanagerrc` must be stored in
%APPDATA%.

Stuff like `digikam\template.xml` (author templates) must be stored in
%APPDATA%. By the way, it would be better to store author templates in database
 like labels are, but that's another topic. As long as this kind of stuff is
not stored is database, it must be stored in %APPDATA%.

Stuff like `digikam/cache` must remain in %LOCALAPPDATA%, that's the right
place for that, because Domains administrator does not want to uselessly
increase their backup size by storing per computer throwable temporary cache,
and it would uselessly consume network and drive resources, breaking the
purpose of a “local” cache.

Does it happen also with other Qt applications and with all fonts?

I tried it with Qt 5.9.1, Noto Sans font and KWrite 17.04, and the NNBSP was
only a tiny fraction smaller than a regular space; see attachment.

I doubt this issue is specific to KDE.

Running it in a terminal didn't produce anything significant.

I deleted my entire KDE user-specific state to ensure it wasn't a messed up
config file. I then setup my kdevelop settings, closed it, reran kdevelop,
tried formatting a file, then closed it again. It still exhibits the
slow-formatting problem.

Could be I am not familiar with centOS default configuration, or what step I
chose that. However, it seems it should be easier to disable, why should I get
errors if I disable it? Is that intended functionality?

How did you configure your network security? The default is to store them into
KWallet.
