[plasmashell] [Bug 385970] Plasmashell high memory usage when using slideshow for desktop backgrounds
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385970 --- Comment #2 from dale--- To add a little more info. Someone posted elsewhere that maybe it was loading the wallpaper images into memory for some reason. To test that, I used a directory that was large enough to see the difference but small enough to also know if that is what it is doing. I used one that is about 1.6GBs. After a few hours, it was well past what would be needed to load the wallpapers in memory plus what plasmashell usually uses by almost 1GB. If it is loading the wallpapers into memory, it is also doing something else with memory as well. I'm not sure what. Also, while on this slideshow topic. Is there a way to tell it not to randomize the images? I have a lot of images that are designed to be shown as a slideshow but not in random order. They are made to be shown in sequence. If I can provide any more info, let me know. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 380893] Option to index source files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380893 Nate Grahamchanged: What|Removed |Added Severity|normal |wishlist Summary|Git repo support|Option to index source ||files Status|UNCONFIRMED |CONFIRMED Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #3 from Nate Graham --- I can see in src/file/fileexcludefilters.cpp that we do explicitly turn off indexing inside .git folders: const char* const s_defaultFolderExcludeFilters[] = { "po", // VCS "CVS", ".svn", ".git", And baloo also doesn't index source files themselves: const char* const s_sourceCodeMimeTypes[] = { "text/css", "text/x-c++src", "text/x-c++hdr", "text/x-csrc", "text/x-chdr", // c header files "text/x-python", But any other files in git repos should be indexed. So it's not so much that it's excluding git repos *per se*, but if you have a git repo that consists entirely of source files (no images or text files or anything), none of them are going to get indexed. I gather from the existence of this bug report that you would like source files to be indexed, or for there to at least be an option? Shouldn't be too tough to add a setting to control this. In the meantime, you can turn indexing on for source files by editing ~/.config/baloofilerc and removing whatever file types you want from the exclude filters= list -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Currently I mark several pics. On Pictures with wrong tag, I try to hoover the mouse properly above a thumbnail and hope that the person tag field appears. Than I type in the name and press enter. That is more fiddling around with the pics than a quick and easy confirmation of recognized faces, as they disappear immediately. As digiKam takes a moment to refresh the collection and thumbnails moving up and down until all changed photos disappear I've already confirmed some other face tags accidentally although the tag is wrong. Is there any possibility to e.g. select faces via the context menu and get them confirm in the same instant, adding person tag doesn't work that way. May you can even add a timer what shows up in the process bar what will auto refresh if some users prefer to see all happening automatically. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

If I use any properties/signals from the Slider 2.2, the QML fails to load. If I comment out the 2.2 properties/signals, the QML loads. If I uninstall the QQC2, the binaries and plasmoids continue loading the QML as before. Easy to repro, just make sure QQC2 is installed, add a Slider from QtQuickControls 2.2, use a property like "live" or a signal like "moved" and the QML will not load. Remove QQC2 and then try to load the QML Item and it will work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kio] [Bug 339973] Unable to use Windows share in an enterprise domain environment.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339973 Nate Grahamchanged: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||pointedst...@zoho.com --- Comment #4 from Nate Graham --- In general you don't need to escape characters like that. You can use @ and : in samba URLs, but you should use forward slashes (/) instead of Windows backslashes (\). So a valid Samba URL looks like this: smb://username[:optional password]@share/optional/path/to/file -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
