Bug ID: 403294
   Summary: System settings crash

   Version: 5.13.5
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash

  Target Milestone: ---

Application: systemsettings5 (5.13.5)

Qt Version: 5.11.1
Frameworks Version: 5.50.0
Operating System: Linux 4.18.0-13-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 18.10

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

1. Open System Settings
2. Click "Applications"
3. Click "Launch Feedback"
4. Click "Locations"
5. Crash

Note the experience is generally laggy when compared to Windows on the same
device (e.g., dragging the windows leaves ghosts that don't disappear until I
slow down / stop dragging. This applies to all windows, but it's especially bad
on the system ones).

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[Bluedevil] [Bug 403292] New: The software remembers all bluetooth devices scanned, not just paired

2019-01-16 Thread John E
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403292

Bug ID: 403292
Summary: The software remembers all bluetooth devices scanned,
not just paired
   Product: Bluedevil
   Version: 5.14.5
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: now...@gmail.com
  Reporter: john.etted...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Hello,

SUMMARY
When I scan for new devices, the kcmshell5 window will show all the devices it
can see, which is great, but after I pick the one I want, it will also save all
the other ones. I live in an apartment complex, so my list of devices can get
pretty ugly.

It's been the case for quite a while so I don't know when it started to be like
this.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the bluetooth panel
2. Scan for new devices

I've searched the code for many times, and didn't see anywhere forcing
XDG_MENU_PREFIX to be "kf5-" either.

However, even the environment variable is correctly set (to other value), kf5
would still look for kf5-applications.menu only. It does not act like this
when in KDE 4.

Actually, reading the duplicate again, it only talks about the search

text) can be executed in a separate thread.

Changing bug status and let Kate maintainers handle it.

Not 100% sure, but this is unfixable* (at Konsole level) - the kinetic
scrolling (flick) is implemented in input driver/lib - it just sends additional
scroll events as if real scrolling was happening; they are indistinguishable
from normal scrolling in a Qt app.

* - in legit way. Some hacks like ignoring ctrl-does-zoom X ms after scroll
event handled as scrolling might work for some cases.

[frameworks-bluez-qt] [Bug 403289] New: MediaPlayer1 interface is NULL after changing audio player on BT source

2019-01-16 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403289

Bug ID: 403289
Summary: MediaPlayer1 interface is NULL after changing audio
player on BT source
   Product: frameworks-bluez-qt
   Version: 5.54.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: now...@gmail.com
  Reporter: snehal@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Setup: I am using bluez-qt package in isolation to develop a bluetooth a2dp
sink application. I am not using any other packages from kde frameworks. I can
reproduce the bug on my system, but I do not have the setup to reproduce the
bug on a KDE platform. Below are the steps I THINK should trigger the bug.
Please note that only audio sink application using bluez-qt API will trigger
this bug.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Establish the bluetooth connection between audio source (e.g. smartphone)
and audio sink (e.g. PC can be configured as sink).
2. Start a audio playback on smartphone and audio should start playing on the
sink. MediaPlayer name (typically the app playing the audio on smartphone) and
track information will be visible on the audio sink application. This will be
done through BluezQt::MediaPlayer signals.
3. On source switch to a different audio playback application. Audio streaming
will continue but MediaPlayer control and track information will not available
on the audio sink application.

OBSERVED RESULT
Audio streaming will continue but MediaPlayer control and track information
will not available on the audio sink application. This is because
BluezQt::Devie::MediaPlayerPtr mediaplayer is NULL.

EXPECTED RESULT
BluezQt::Devie::MediaPlayerPtr mediaplayer should point to new interface
created after switching the audio app on source.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have checkout the github repo and analysed the bug.
Object path .../PlayerX is not checked before removing MediaPlayer1 interface.
BluezQt only saves most recently added object /playerX. But while
removing MediaPlayer1 interface object path is not checked which could
lead to accidental removal a valid interface. This can happen when
events 'interfacesAdded' and 'interfacesRemoved' arrive in different
order.
Consider scenario: player0:interfacesAdded -> player1:interfacesAdded ->
player0:interfacesRemoved. In this scenario MediaPlayer1 interface of
player1 will be removed if object path is not checked.

   Summary: Skips animation frame
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.1.7
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Animation
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: egy...@gmail.com

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Check you have "left" (key) and "right" (key) as short cuts for
next/previous keyframe.
2. make a bunch of keys on a timeline and try flipping through.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Every other time or so, the shortcut will "skip over" a frame. If you expect it
to go from frame 140 to 145, it will jump to the one after, i.e. 140 to 150.

EXPECTED RESULT

The shortcut to go to the previous keyframe or the next keyframe

Hi Wolf,
I've tested KEXI by importing Northwind2003 database. It has orders.freight
column of floating-point type. Tested de_DE and pl_PL. KEXI versions: 3.1.0 and
3.2.0 beta 1. Unfortunately can't reproduce the issue, values after the point
are imported.

Is it possible that you create a small test Access file that reproduces the
issue and double check if you used KEXI 3.1.0? You can attach here (compressed
first).

Thanks.

SUMMARY

it is clear that the same file name can happen twice or more times in the same
project, however, when two files have the same path, they should be treated as
the same thing, one thing, not two... (at least I think so, I'm only 90% sure)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. import 1 video file from a folder...
2. import all 5 video files from that folder
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
there are 6 clips in the project bin..
of the video file, clip, there will be 2 instances...
clip and clip[1]

EXPECTED RESULT
there should be 5 clips in the project bin...
it would be nice to get a message "clip" has been added to your project already

Good question. Ideally this would have happened automatically. I'll look into
whether this is something on our end, or the package manager should have done
it.

[bugs.kde.org] [Bug 402789] Switch to Gitlab for code and issue tracking

2019-01-16 Thread Nate Graham
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402789

"RESOLVED NOT A BUG" is another way of saying, "This isn't something that's
appropriate to have in the bug tracker."

It's simply not the right place to discuss whether or not we're going to move
to replace Bugzilla with Gitlab issues. The discussion is going to happen
later, after the evaluation, and in another venue.

Ok, lets see if we can find out where. can you install debug symbols for
plasma-workspace from your distro.

Can you get in the corrupt state and then instead of launching plasmashell run

gdb --args plasmashell --replace

when it's using 100% CPU and everything press control+c and type "bt" then
paste that output here.

[kinfocenter] [Bug 403077] Command-line argument that prints the info that would be copied to the clipboard when using the copy-to-clipboard UI button

2019-01-16 Thread Gregor Mi
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403077

Code-wise: I have to look because during the review process I remember the
logic to be changed to be more tied to the GUI elements. But nothing that could
not be done :)

Command line options. I suggest:

--versions-to-clipboard- Copy the system information to clipboard
--print-versions - Print the system information

--versions-to-clipboard can be useful if someone even wants to create a custom
keyboard shortcut.
