Sorry for the late answer, mostly I try to make things simple so I installed
the basic driver implemented into given KDE neon 5.15 and its version is
390.116-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 so basically it's the closed one if i'm right about
this. As far as I know open source Nvidia driver doesn't exist, Nouveau is the
open source project for Nvidia cards. Inform me if I'm wrong about this.
So in short it's the not open source Nvidia driver.

--- Comment #1 from un...@physics.ubc.ca ---
By the way, is there anywhere that the options in
.config/powermanagementprofilesrc are actually defined. It seems that many of
them are flags (the numbers all seem to be powers of 2-- ie, bit flags) but
they seem not to be defined anywhere.
This is of course asked, in the hope that somehow there is an option that will
solve this problem.

[Powerdevil] [Bug 406287] New: If laptop lid is shut, powerdevil puts system to sleep rather than shutdown as requested.

2019-04-06 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406287

Bug ID: 406287
   Summary: If laptop lid is shut, powerdevil puts system to sleep
rather than shutdown as requested.
   Product: Powerdevil
   Version: 5.15.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: un...@physics.ubc.ca
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 119276
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=119276=edit
Extract from systemd journal from time that the system tries to start the
shutdown, the long pause while it was asleep rather than shutdown, and then the
start of the shutdown

SUMMARY If the laptop (Dell XPS 13 9360 ) lid is shut when the inactivity timer
from Power Management->Battery->SuspendSession times out, instead of shutting
down, the system goes into a deep sleep instead. When the lid is reopened, the
shutdown starts and continues to shut the system down. Thus instead of being
shut down, the system is sleeping for say 2 or 3 days until I next use the
laptop.

The settings are Dim Screen 2 min, Screen Eenrgy Saving 21 min, Suspend Session
66 min Shutdown, Button event handling when laptop lid closed-> turn off
screen.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. shut laptop without Shutdown.
2. Wait.
3. The laptop does not Shutdown, but when the lid is reopened, the SDDM greeter
appears briefly and then the shutdown process starts and finishes.

OBSERVED RESULT

The system goes to sleep and only completes shutdown after the lid is opened.

EXPECTED RESULT
The system should shut down

[kdenlive] [Bug 406285] New: Memory leak when switching to another profile

2019-04-06 Thread JORGETECH
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406285

Bug ID: 406285
   Summary: Memory leak when switching to another profile
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: git-master
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Video Display & Export
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: jorgesan...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

On latest git "master" and also the nightly AppImage a memory leak is caused
when changing the video profile. This memory leak only happens when you change
the video profile in the Project Bin message, for some other videos kdenlive
asks you to change the profile (due to kdenlive not finding a matching profile)
in a separate window, in that cases it does not cause a memory leak.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a video to the Project Bin that does not fit the current profile (but
does fit an existing one in kdenlive), this is the clip I used for testing:
https://mega.nz/#!6ywFFRAL!BxAnz6hRmsZCmpj8FY89IBc9DrU8AmVNbktz12kRM-U
2. When kdenlive asks you to switch to another profile (the message under the
Project Bin) click on "Switch".
3. After that kdenlive will use all the available RAM, cauing the system to
lock up (related to swap).

The icon view already has an option for this behavior and can easily be
deactivated (at compile time). I personally would not like it if the first item
is not selected, because then the right sidebar will remain without
information. This option should be made configurable in any case.

I can verify. Checking with pacmd list-sink-input indicates that Kdenlive has a
RUNNING and *not* CORKED (the latter is what we use to determine whether to
show the stream).

It's fine for an app to have a stream open but it should be marked as corked
(PulseAudio speech for "not actually playing anything right now"). I would
consider this a Kdenlive (or whatever library kdenlive uses for live preview, I
pressume it's that causing it) bug, not in Task Manager.

[kdevelop] [Bug 406282] New: C style indentation mode use 1 space when it should use one TAB

2019-04-06 Thread Juraj
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406282

Bug ID: 406282
   Summary: C style indentation mode use 1 space when it should
use one TAB
   Product: kdevelop
   Version: 5.3.2
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: sgd.or...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When writing code in C with indentation mode set to "C Style" the indentation
in a case I write {} brackets on new line reduces the intendation by a level
but it uses spaces instead of tabs.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a file and set Indentation mode to "C Style"
2. Write some functions or block which will indent the code and use tabs.
>>/* some block */
>>{
>>
>>}
3. Write our code, use tabs
>>/* some block */
>>{
>>  while (1)
>> // The auto indent sends us here (2 tabs)
>>}
4. Write '{' to begin the block
>>/* some block */
>>{
>>  while (1)
>> { // example what I type, before the automatic things do their
>> job
>>}

OBSERVED RESULT
The auto indent does its job and reduces the indentation be 1 (to 1) but is
using spaces instead of tabs
>>/* some block */
>>{
>>  while (1)
>> {} // example of what automatic things did with my code (1 space)
>>}

EXPECTED RESULT
I expect the auto indentation to use tabs when I use tabs in current file
>>/* some block */
>>{
>>  while (1)
>>  {} // example of what I desire (1 tab)
>>}

On X11, If libinput is used we can disable Horizontal Scrolling, as X provides
property for that.

On Wayland though, this is not easy to do, as libinput implicitly does not
provide a way to disable Horizontal Scrolling.

To achieve that we need to work on KWIN side such that it is possible to
provide an option to disable it.

Nothing in particular. Just clicking on an email, to display it and/or
clicking on an email folder to see its contents.
This happens now and again. But I cannot reproduce it.

[digikam] [Bug 406280] New: Don't auto select thumbnail 1 of n when first opening an album.

2019-04-06 Thread Paul
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406280

Bug ID: 406280
   Summary: Don't auto select thumbnail 1 of n when first opening
an album.
   Product: digikam
   Version: 6.0.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Usability-Ergonomy
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: pip@gmx.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Currently when digikam launches thumbnail 1 of n is selected in the icon area,
likewise when first selecting an album from the album tree in the left sidebar.

I know one should learn from one's mistakes, but I've lost count of the number
of times I've inadvertently acted upon that auto-selected thumbnail as well as
the manually selected ones I intended.

It would be better, IMHO, if no thumbnail was initially selected upon first
opening an album, or when digikam first launches. There should be some
additional logic such that, in any one digikam session, if one selects one or
more thumbnails and then navigates away from that album to another, upon return
they are still selected.

Additionally perhaps there could be a preference setting for this, so users who
like, or require the existing behaviour are not adversely affected.

[frameworks-kfilemetadata] [Bug 406229] baloo_file_extractor crashes in Exiv2::Internal::TiffReader::readTiffEntry() on a specific TIFF file

So Exiv2 first (correctly) tries the JPEG extractor, then switches to the TIFF
extractor for some reason, then crashes.

At this point it feels like the issue is in Exiv2 itself, not Baloo or
KFileMetadata, both of which have done their part as much as they're able. Can
you file a bug with the Exiv2 folks? The fully symbolicated backtrace you
attached will probably be very useful for them. Thanks!

Fix page orientation switch in new image dialog

Summary:
KisDoubleParseSpinBox does not update it's state while being edited (to
allow for the math formulas to work correctly). If the cursor is in the
number field while the user is changing page orientation, the focused
spinbox's value does not change. To work around that, this patch clears
focus on the width and height spinboxes before switching page
orientation.

The problem on the PC side is that Kdeconnect has tens of dependencies to
satisfy  ...

On the Android side instead, I don't know if there is the possibility to
install a previous version, and worst,

if it is possible to keep the present version (which is working well with
Debian Testing release) from automatically being updated, thus probably causing
the same problem in a few months.

Nicofo,

I tested your patch for AppRun script in AppImage bundle and it work fine under
Mageia 6 (openssl 1.0) and Magiea7 (openssl 1.1)

I restart the AppImage bundle 6.1.0 pre-release compilation now, and files will

This is rather strange. It would be cool to see what changes in the file and
knowing the from and to version. You could use the automatic backup files to
compare both versions. To get them, set the number of backup files to be kept
in the general/global settings tab to something like 10 or so. Then you can go
back a few steps and see what changes in that schedule.

I understand it's important for problems to be fixed properly rather than
hastily, and I don't want to sound impatient, but is it normal for a fix like
this to be under review for nearly two months? Having buggy scrolling in a lot
of apps is at least a moderate usability hindrance. I'd just feel a tad better
if I knew the fix was on its way :)

[Falkon] [Bug 406279] New: Falkon doesn't "remember" zoom size on sites opening new tabs

2019-04-06 Thread Öyvind Saether
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406279

Bug ID: 406279
   Summary: Falkon doesn't "remember" zoom size on sites opening
new tabs
   Product: Falkon
   Version: 3.1.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: now...@gmail.com
  Reporter: oyvi...@everdot.org
  Target Milestone: ---

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. press ctrl + or ctrl - on some website with particularly small (or large)
text to get it to the size you want
2. click click click around that site on the tab to read other pages and you
get to use the zoom option you have, which is nice.
3. right-click a link to some page on that site and open it in a new tab (or
use the middle button) and now you get the default zoom setting in the new tab.

EXPECTED RESULT
Other browsers will give you the zoom/size you have in the tab you're in when
you open a link in a new tab. This makes sense, if you have a readable size in
the tab then you'll probably want that size in the new tab you open too.

This, quite frankly, is a problem which - to me - makes Falkon unusable and a
non-choice. It makes using tabs problematic to the point where it might as well
not have tabs.

When using qmake to compile texstudio (I don't have another Qt project to test

After some research I found this thread:

[kdeconnect] [Bug 405176] Dolphin disables "Paste x files" for empty directories that do not have a rootItem

2019-04-06 Thread Erik Duisters

Summary|unable to add file to |Dolphin disables "Paste x
   |internal storage or |files" for empty
   |adoptable storage folder|directories that do not
   ||have a rootItem

--- Comment #9 from Erik Duisters  ---
Dolphin disables its "Paste x files" menu entry for empty directories that do
not have a rootItem. It does does allow to create new files/folders and drag
and drop copy and move. This happens when a file system does not provide the .
and .. entries like sshfs. see also BUG 330001 and
https://github.com/libfuse/sshfs/issues/28

[frameworks-solid] [Bug 406242] fstab-mounted NFS drive gets two entries in Places panel

2019-04-06 Thread Méven Car
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406242

--- Comment #1 from Méven Car  ---
Before mounting:

$ solid-hardware list
[...]
udi = '/org/kde/fstab/192.168.1.16:/home/meven/'

Mount:

$ solid-hardware mount '/org/kde/fstab/192.168.1.16:/home/meven/'

List again:

$ solid-hardware list
[...]
udi = '/org/kde/fstab/192.168.1.16:/home/meven/'
udi = '/org/kde/fstab/192.168.1.16:/home/meven'

It might illustrate the bug : the mounted device has a different udi with no
'/' at the end preventing solid to deduplicate them.
