https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411338 Bug ID: 411338 Summary: Implement Easystroke-type mouse gestures (EasyStroke is not compatible with KDE Modifier only shortcuts - it blocks them) Product: frameworks-kglobalaccel Version: 5.61.0 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Reporter: leftcr...@tutanota.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Since Easystroke cannot be used with KDE's mod only shortcuts (they are blocked by Easystroke on X11), it makes sense to be able to do the same things natively via KCM. Easystroke allows you to customize the use left-click (or any other key) as the modifier while dragging the mouse. And it's gesture editor and recognition system is much more robust (helps create long strokes) KDE's native gestures aren't very useful because the recognition is poor and the only modifier is left click. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Load a timeline. I don't know how complicated or large it has to be. I personally have a sample size of one. :-P 2. Select a time, press 'i' to mark zone in, select another time later in the video, press 'o' to mark zone out. 3. Render the project, using the "Selected zone" setting. [plasmashell] [Bug 411073] Scale preview popup according to icon size
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411073 --- Comment #2 from Thiago Sueto --- Hello Nate! > Wouldn't it be both faster and more convenient to click or double-click on > the folder to open it > in Dolphin, rather than using a Folder View popup as a file manager? That was a fairly recent experiment of mine that ended up working fairly well for me. The point of this is so that Dolphin would not appear when I'm alt-tabbing, while also keeping folders almost immediately accessible. But it's true, now that I think about it, this could also be achieved with window rules or virtual desktops. This was by all means a niche use-case, perhaps unintended behavior as well, I simply mentioned this to demonstrate a use-case for the preview popup. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408964 --- Comment #6 from Lewis Lakerink --- I can also confirm this issue. Using kscreen-doctor with 1.25x under wayland causes exactly the same pixelated fonts as your screenshots, Brian. I first encountered this issue some 12-18 months ago, and it is a show stopper for me using Plasma as I have a dell xps 4k with 2 external 4k monitors, which exceeds the maximum buffer size for the modesetting xorg driver (when scaling with xrandr). [digikam] [Bug 411214] Digikam git beta 6.3 eats huge memory
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411214 --- Comment #30 from Maik Qualmann --- Your ImageMagick version is the same as mine. The native output of comment 27 is not yet the current git/master version. There, the ImageMagick loader still loads everything in 16 bit, which means a huge memory requirement with such images. The output from the AppImage (comment 29) states that ImageMagick has an exception and does not support XCF. Here Gilles has to look at what's missing in the compilation. I was unable to detect a memory leak when loading such large Gimp files, but due to the huge memory requirement the computer is also very slow. [gwenview] [Bug 411327] New: Gwenview fails to open some (not all) Gimp XCF images
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411327 Bug ID: 411327 Summary: Gwenview fails to open some (not all) Gimp XCF images Product: gwenview Version: 19.08.0 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: zonker.din...@web.de Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 122377 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=122377=edit Example images to demonstrate the problem, in a zip archive Recently I noticed that my Gwenview fails to preview/open some Gimp XCF images. Attached to this report are two example images. Gwenview correctly previews/opens the "working_image.xcf". However, the "broken_image.xcf" is displayed with a red "access forbidden" icon in the preview and on a double-click Gwenview shows the error message "Loading 'broken_image.xcf' failed". When I start Gwenview from the command line and try to access the broken image, I see following errors in the console: QBuffer::seek: Invalid pos: 268500863 Found layer of type RGB but with bpp != 3 268500863 QBuffer::seek: Invalid pos: 268500863 QBuffer::seek: Invalid pos: 268500863 Found layer of type RGB but with bpp != 3 543582572 QBuffer::seek: Invalid pos: 1694498816 Found layer of type RGB but with bpp != 3 0 Gimp itself (version 2.8) can open both images just fine. I tried to trace this problem back using my system backups and it seems to have been introduced recently. In a system backup from July 2019 (QtCore 5.11.3) I have Gwenview 18.12.3 installed and that version can display/open all Gimp images (including attached examples) without any problems. However, Gwenview 19.08.0 from my current system (QtCore 5.12.3) fails to open some files, as described above. I'm not sure if this is actually Gwenview's fault, since many packages (especially Qt, but also some graphics-related packages like Babl or Exiv2) were updated in the last few months. However, I'm currently at a loss about how to proceed with debugging this problem. Could someone check if their recent Gwenview version is able to open both images please? If the problem doesn't occur for other people here, then some hints about which library could be causing the problem would be of really great help to me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 365372] HSY' square color selector does not display the correct square content for a given hue
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365372 --- Comment #4 from toniw --- Created attachment 122375 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=122375=edit wrong hues of hsy color selectors @wolthera So the hue shift is a result of the (de)linearization of the color space. An example indeed shows that the RGB values result in a different hue (far less green) after linearization (I guess the same goes for delinearization): before linearization: r=0.823529, g=0.196078, b=0 after linearization: r=0.64448, g=0.0319066, b=0 I suppose, as soon as the HSY values are computed correctly, this workaround is obsolete too (wheel and simple selector): https://invent.kde.org/kde/krita/blob/master/plugins/dockers/advancedcolorselector/kis_color_selector_wheel.cpp#L120 This, in addition to the angle of the color wheel using the HSV-Hue seems to cause the shifting when the color selector is updated. The (clicked) angle just does not match the HSY-Hue after being delinearized, but all of the other (non-linearized) hues match. https://invent.kde.org/kde/krita/blob/master/plugins/dockers/advancedcolorselector/kis_color_selector_wheel.cpp#L298 The problem affects the Artistic Color Selector too: The picked color hue does not equal the hue inside the wheel. In the attached video, you can also see that the color distribution on the artistic color selector wheel is not very "linear": The Green-Value increases steadily in the RGB-Slider but the position in the wheel only moves very little and then makes bigger steps as it gets closer towards pure yellow. The resulting hues seem to be "squashed" together at pure red, green and blue -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411291 --- Comment #8 from Mark --- (In reply to Kai Uwe Broulik from comment #7) > #include "slavebase.moc" at the end and it should just work Ha, smart! Oke, so I've got that to work somewhat, but this isn't easy by far. The tricky thing is the slot connection for listEntries. They need to run on the main thread and will be executed by the main thread eventloop (via Qt::QueuedConnection). Which doesn't exist! I can call it from the thread's event loop but that makes the sockets _really_ mad and makes the slave crash, hehe :) Just handling the event in SlaveBase::dispatchLoop also isn't possible because, well, the main thread were that lives is blocked by the slave. The only solution i see now is lifting out all socket handling in a separate (QThread based?) class that isn't blocking and has an eventloop. But that is waaay beyond an easy fix. [kdenlive] [Bug 411324] New: The path to the image in the title is not restored after renaming or moving the catalog with the project.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411324 Bug ID: 411324 Summary: The path to the image in the title is not restored after renaming or moving the catalog with the project. Product: kdenlive Version: 19.08.0 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: iticdig...@disroot.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY If you create a title clip with an image, save it, and then create a title clip from this saved title clip with the image, then after renaming or moving the directory with the project, the image from the caption clip will be unavailable, and it will not be possible to restore the connection between the picture file and the project. This is so if the "custom project folder" is inside the directory with the project (which will be renamed or moved) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create new project 2. Create new folder for Project (/proj/) 3. Open Project settings and change "custom project folder" to "/proj/projData" 4. crete title clip with some image and save him somwhere (not in /proj/) 5. create empty title clip 6. open him in title editor 7. open title clip from file created on step 4 8. close title editor with OK 9. After these steps, a file with the name of the type titlesd1917ae434a041930d0ef88c9199ec67.titlepart should appear in the /proj/projData/ directory 10. Save project as /proj/Proj1.kdenlive 11. rename /proj/ to /proj2 12 open /proj2/Proj1.kdenlive OBSERVED RESULT A message appears that the file /proj2/projData/titlesd1917ae434a041930d0ef88c9199ec67.titlepart was not found. But even if you click "search recursively" or even double-click on the line with the missing file and enter the path to it (although it is already correctly specified), the image in the caption clip will be missing and the editor will display a message that the file is proj/projData/titlesd1917ae434a041930d0ef88c9199ec67.titlepart not found. And there will be no way to get back to this file. You have to add the image manually. EXPECTED RESULT Image communication should be restored either automatically, or after a recursive search, or after manually specifying this particular file. This then breaks programs like flatpak and it's locale auto-detection: It falls back to `en` for all users. (I found out about this via https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak/issues/1504) Ref: https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak/blob/1.4.2/common/flatpak-dir.c#L13985 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
