[kdenlive] [Bug 411484] Speed change on extracted footage renders to white screen
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411484 --- Comment #7 from Evert Vorster --- Hi there! At the moment the workaround here is to just use the full sized file. I don't know what kdenlive uses in the background to do the segment extraction, but it is not creating proper files for editing, and that is what needs to be fixed. Surely the proper solution for a problem in a video editor is not to use other video tools? There are quite a few GoPro's in the world, and they are not going away. The GoPros routinely gets used to take action footage, and some of that footage looks simply awesome in slowmotion. Unfortunately, the way that footage is recorded on GoPros results in really long, massive files. The extract zone is a vital feature in dealing with huge files, but if the footage that comes out of it cannot be slowed down the feature loses a lot of it's appeal. What it boils down to is that if Kdenlive is wanting to be taken seriously as a video editor it needs to handle real world footage without issues. I can provide some footage for you guys for testing, if you want. Unfortunately, 2.7k @ 100fps footage is huge, even a second's worth is more than the 4mb file upload limit here. Kind regards, Evert -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411314 --- Comment #5 from Nate Graham --- Let's shift the conversation from requesting a specific solution (customize the font, style, color, etc of notifications) to an investigation of the problem, which is that notifications don't catch your attention enough. Create a new blank document in Krita. 2. Open an image file as a file layer. 3. Click the folder icon of the file layer in the layer docker to open the file layer in a new tab/subwindow. 4. Close the file layer tab/subwindow. OBSERVED RESULT All tools have no effect in the original document. Freehand brush tool outline fails to follow mouse movements. Rotating, zooming, panning with the trackpad does not affect the canvas. EXPECTED RESULT Canvas responds to tools and trackpad. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS macOS: 10.14.6 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Canvas-only view mode does not fix the problem. Switching to a different application fixes the problem. Opening any dialog box (e.g. unsaved changes in file layer doc, preferences, new doc) in Krita that moves focus away from the document fixes the problem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 411448] on wayland the appmenu is on a detach window
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411448 David Edmundson changed: What|Removed |Added CC||k...@davidedmundson.co.uk --- Comment #3 from David Edmundson --- @vlad xdg_popup menus by protocol definition need to have parent toplevel. Qt has a "failsafe" that if you create a window of type popup without a parent it will raise it to be a toplevel to be spec compliant. Neither of that matters as it's in the wrong position anyway. We can't do internal hacks as the the menu is shown from kded, because (pre-wayland irony) we didn't want kwin to turn into a monolith of having all these things. Given showing a remote menu is by definition remote, we could move the menu code into Kwin. Alternatively we could use the plasmashell protocol in kded to explicitly override decorations and set a position. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=411382 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |UPSTREAM Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED CC||n...@kde.org --- Comment #1 from Nate Graham --- If `cp` doesn't work properly either, then the issue is far deeper in the stack than anything KDE software can affect--possibly even the hardware itself. But if `cp` is reporting success when it's actually failing, that's super duper bad. Consider trying with a different cable or disk to isolate the problem. If that doesn't help, please file a kernel bug. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
