This actually happens in kdepim-runtime/resources/imap/sessionpool.cpp. There’s
some code to ensure that no password is requested for GSSAPI, but it’s not used
in all cases.

Thanks for your script, it helps.
What is very frustrating is that as I am not a developer, when I look inside of
the qml files of the battery monitoring widget I do not know where the data
comes.

This looks like the upstream patch we have in Gentoo[1],
so I think the issue is fixed, yes. As this bugtracker
seems to allow me to close this bug I’ll give it a try.

In case someone still has issues please re-open it.

With kmail 5.12.2, *some* sent mails end up unread in the sent folder, akonadi

There's no clear pattern visible, but just opening the mail doesn't help. Those
mails need to be flagged "read" manually, and the state icon is different.

If I select option 1 and move the cursor away and then back, the dialog doesn't
come back.

Summary: KWin_wayland crashes when an external display is
unplugged
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.17.2
  Platform: Other

Wayland session log with debugging enabled

I can reproduce this reliably with my Dell display that connects to VGA port.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start a KDE Wayland session
2. Plug in the external display
3. KWin switches display output, ext. screen enabled, laptop display disabled -
this is okay
4. Disconnect the external display
5. Session crashes

This is on a ThinkPad T420 laptop with Intel HD3000 GPU. There is also no issue
under X11.

[KDE Itinerary] [Bug 413756] Ad calculation and compensation of CO2-emissions

2019-11-02 Thread Volker Krause
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413756

I have been thinking about adding a year by year statistics view so you can
track the effect of your personal effort to reduce environmental impact, which
would need CO2 calculations as well. Integrating with compensation schemes
could be a nice addition indeed.

So far just ideas, I haven't done any research on this yet, but I certainly
would consider this in scope.

It was working properly. But, after a close and reopen (by console), again the
error:

qrc:/qml/PlayListBasicView.qml:124:17: Unable to assign [undefined] to QString
qrc:/qml/PlayListBasicView.qml:123:17: Unable to assign [undefined] to QString

Seems to be a playlist error... I attach also the ouitput with error.

I have been watching the blogposts of KDE Itinerary with some excitement and
even though I did not have the chance to test it, I hopefully will soon. Seen
the developments I thought it would be something which would belong into our
time to calculate the CO2-footprint of a journey and allow to pay for their
compensation if the emissions can not be avoided. I am not an expert, but quite
sure that some of those services offer the necessary tools/api for doing the
calculation and compensation.

[plasmashell] [Bug 413733] GLOBAL MENU CROOSPLATFORM HELP DEMAND

2019-11-02 Thread n1coc4cola
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413733

Sorry, now it's 8:05, I'll can explain it better.
So, with "globalize" I mean that I want to make an app which handles these
services, but, without having any dependencies in relation to the environment
where the app is currently running. With that, the different distributions (OS
and env.) will be able to install just one DBus service and have access to a
Global Menu that is currently exclusive to KDE Plasma 5.9+ and Gnome (with the
Vala Panel). I hope that is more clear for you now. Thank you for your replies.

Sorry, Falkon does not load the gitlab MR. To answer Postix’ question:

> it becomes ¶.
> This is really hard for a user to figure out, what needs to be pressed.

> Is it possible to instead display AltGr+L and AltGr+R? Or is it complicated
> due to different keyboard layouts?

This will probably not be possible. There are keyboard layouts without AltGr.
Qt does not know this key as modifier. And besides that, AltGr is a very
uncommon modifier.

At least, Qt (since Qt5) does not care on which keyboard layer a shortcut key
is pressed. For Neo2, 1 is the same as Mod4+M.

[kmail2] [Bug 413752] New: Cannot resize the message list with large fonts

2019-11-02 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413752

Bug ID: 413752
Summary: Cannot resize the message list with large fonts
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.9.3
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: gustavo...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 123667
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=123667=edit
Message list is too big

SUMMARY

I cannot resize the message list. It is somehow in a fixed size, taking most of
the screen size, and allowing only a tiny bit to display the email list.
Whenever I try to resize, the message list will stay the same size, and it will
throw an error whenever the mouse passes through the border:

qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 8 (BadMatch), sequence: 2108, resource
id: 48234561, major code: 130 (Unknown), minor code: 3

I am using large fonts because my mother has bad eyesight, and somehow I cannot
resize the message list with fonts larger than 13. It is bad for users who need
more accessibility.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Change default font size to 13
2. Open kmail
3. Try to resize message list

OBSERVED RESULT

It will take up most of the screen

EXPECTED RESULT

I expected it to be able to resize nicely so I can at least have a better view
of the email list

Here the volume are completely independent of each other. It certainly depends
on which audio mixer is used. The volume is adjusted via QtAV, we have no
influence on that. Yes, the volume in digiKam is currently not saved and is
back to 50 percent after startup. I can change that.

There is certainly one thing that would be good for 6.5.0 (the memory hole in
the image editor). But I think the 7.0.0 is already running very well and we
should release a Beta1 early.

[Akonadi] [Bug 413750] New: Akonadi crashes after terminating Kontact

2019-11-02 Thread bugzilla_noreply

Bug ID: 413750
Summary: Akonadi crashes after terminating Kontact
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 5.10.3
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: server
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: staka...@eclipso.eu
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 123665
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=123665=edit
backtrace of the original konqi popup

Application: akonadiserver (5.10.3)

Qt Version: 5.9.7
Frameworks Version: 5.55.0
Operating System: Linux 4.12.14-lp151.28.20-default x86_64
Distribution: "openSUSE Leap 15.1"

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
The Kontact suite had, given a memory hole, consumed 8GB of Ram and nearly 4 Gb
of Swap. In these conditions the only way to end the nearly unresponsive system
and to normalize the memory, was to terminate with ctrl+alt+esc the Kontact
suite. Normally when this happens akonadi does not crash (and normaly the
memory hole of Kontact is not that catastrophic, thus, I decided to give this
backtrace in the hope it may help to understand what actually happens there.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
consumption of nearlz 12GB of Ram and SWAP during system idle. This seems to be
connected to incomming mail that is then filtered. In these conditions the
memory consumption (if system idle) starts.

- Custom settings of the application:
Large amounts of filters running on incomming mail. Three different income
boxes (not an unified one to be clear). Clamav scan for viruses and spamd
daemonized for spam.
This is an upgrade of 15.0 to 15.1 Leap Opensuse and had the following
attention after upgrading:
having the baloo indexer crash as companion the searchdb was eliminated and did
recreate after the update. So crashes of baloo do not take place any more for a
while now.
The akonadidatabase is regularly controlled with akonadictl fsck and sometimes
with vaccum.
There are several collections without RID.
When running now the command akonadictl I get an astonishing result:
mercurio@roadrunner:~> akonadictl start
Akonadi is already running.
mercurio@roadrunner:~> akonadictl fsck
Akonadi Server is not running, check will not run

Which means probably that there is the crashed instance still in memory?

Screenshot

I just updated to the version 6.3.0
And when I open Digikam the theme looks broken, now looks like those old
windows 98 theme. *see the attachment.
You can see the boxy scroll wheel, menu etch

Try to change the theme to dark or light, still not effect, only the theme
color changed.

Downgrade to the previous version also did nothing.
