[valgrind] [Bug 417187] [MIPS] Conditional branch problem since 'grail' changes

Just as a tiny comment on this patch, and not related to the main problem here:
the patch looks reasonable, except for this:

That just can't be right. To ask for the byte size for Ity_I1 is more or
less meaningless -- it is (conceptually) a single bit. Whatever you
commit, please don't commit this change. Why is this necessary? Maybe
we can find a different solution to whatever problem this solves.

Yes, having more precise info in this area can be very useful.

To give more information about an error without making them 'different',
it might be more appropriate to put more information in the 'extra' part
of the error.
The logic to compare this "extra" part is in the tool, and so the tool
can consider that this additional info is not to be compared in the error
equality logic.

And of course, as usual, if you have an error, you can use gdb+vgdb
to get as much details as possible about the error being reported.

Do you know, that you can get rid of those unique parts by using the regexp

[Discover] [Bug 417214] New: Crash after NVIDIA Driver 440 upgrade

2020-02-05 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417214

Bug ID: 417214
Summary: Crash after NVIDIA Driver 440 upgrade
   Product: Discover
   Version: 5.12.8
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: discover
  Assignee: lei...@leinir.dk
  Reporter: rr.mari...@yahoo.com
CC: aleix...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: plasma-discover (5.12.8)

Qt Version: 5.9.5
Frameworks Version: 5.44.0
Operating System: Linux 5.3.0-28-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I was prompted to check the NVIDIA driver. Out of 4 drivers I selected the
(recommended), and when I click Accept, it reverts the same window and always
default to the Xorg driver which is not the recommended driver. After few
identical attempts where I selected the (recommended) driver, I clicked OK
(Instead of Accept) and then I was notified of 1 package to update, and when I
clicked Update, it told me it crashed.

I just installed KDE. I installed it because before I was using GNOME and my
computer programs (C++ and Python) all using GPU start to freeze entirely the
desktop. So, after many attempts, I tried to change the Desktop environment.
After installing KDE, this is the first operation I did after browsing some of
my directories using the GUI. Nothing else.

OK, I've been trying to get plate solving to work again on my macBook Air,
using kStars v3.3.9.  Becoming desperate.

1. I did another Erase and Install Mac OS Catalina v10.15.3
2. I installed HomeBrew and its Command Line tools, accepted everything.
3. Did not install ANYTHING else on my Air before the following. EXCEPT for
the Astrometry index files, which I had backed up.
4. Did a fresh installation of kStars. Did the Startup Wizard, etc.
5. In the Solver Panel clicked on the Edit Solver Options icon.
6. Clicked on the Setup button for Python.
7. Detectd Homebew. When trying to install Python, got an error: "python
install error"
8. Quit kStars, rebooted Mac.
9. Tried again. Now I get the following message: "Homebrew installed.
Python3 installed. Astropy will install when you click OK."
10. When I click OK, I immediately get the following message: "Astropy
install failure."
11. Trying "Capture and Solve" anyway just fails immediately, not a surprise
if it needs Astropy.
12. Tried installing Astropy outside of kStars using Anaconda. Didn't change
anything, still fails.

I'm really at a loss. It all works fine on my iMac, just not on my Air.
Although it previously worked on my Air under version 3.3.1 of kStars.

Can you PLEASE help? I really don't want to go back to using Maxim...

Thank you!

In general I think we need to come up with a way to allow admin users to apply

So I uninstalled every single dependency that I had installed and did
everything again one by one. I removed manually both the .config and .local
latte directories and the lattedockrc file. I uninstalled using your
uninstall.sh.

Instead of using the old github branch (didn't realise it was an older version
as I was following this FAQ, which is still pointing to a github git clone:
https://userbase.kde.org/LatteDock/FAQ), I installed the latest master on
phabricator. The installation went smoothly and now all the features are
working as intended! :)

[KBibTeX] [Bug 417210] New: Edit Element dialog closes w/o confirming, possibly losing edits

2020-02-05 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417210

Bug ID: 417210
Summary: Edit Element dialog closes w/o confirming, possibly
losing edits
   Product: KBibTeX
   Version: 0.9.1
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: fisc...@unix-ag.uni-kl.de
  Reporter: glyphi...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

The Edit Element dialog closes immediately when the user presses Esc or clicks
Cancel, losing all entered changes. Instead, it should raise a confirmation
dialog.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click "New Element"
2. Enter data into 1 or more fields on 1 or more tabs
3. Hit Esc

OBSERVED RESULT

Edit Element dialog closes, losing changes.

EXPECTED RESULT

Edit Element dialog raises confirmation messagebox.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.64.0
Qt Version: 5.13.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Was creating a new entry, adding a file on the External tab. Realized the file
wasn't where I thought it was, so I hit Esc to close the file dialog.
Accidentally hit Esc twice. That closed the file dialog, and the whole Edit
Element dialog, losing my info. Had to go back in and enter it again. If the
user has entered new data, or changed existing data, it seems reasonable to
raise a confirmation messagebox (e.g. save/discard/cancel).

[kdenlive] [Bug 417209] New: selecting clips in timeline and going back and forth with mouse wheel doesn't work

2020-02-05 Thread CzAndrew
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417209

Bug ID: 417209
Summary: selecting clips in timeline and going back and forth
with mouse wheel doesn't work
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 19.12.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: czart.and...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When I'm selecting clips, going back and forth on the timeline with mouse wheel
doesn't work.
Usually when I have a long project with many clips, I zoom in, to start the
selection, then I use the mouse wheel to go back/forth on the timeline to
continue selecting clips. This feature doesn't work in 19.12.1. It did work in
18.12.2.
Of course, I could zoom back completely to see the complete project on the
timeline all at once, but if I have many clips, then it is very hard to see
where one ends and the other starts.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a project with many clips in the timeline.
2. Zoom in the timeline, press shift, and start the selection.
3. While pressing the shift and left mouse button, try to move the timeline by
mousewheel. It does work in 18.12.2, but doesn't work in 19.12.1.

OBSERVED RESULT
19.12.1: the mouse wheel doesn't move the timeline during selection. When the
clips are not being selected, then the timeline can be moved by the mouse
wheel.

EXPECTED RESULT
During selection the mouse wheel moves the timeline back and forth, so
selecting the clips can be continued.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 19.12.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Workaround: In 19.12.1, there is a small few pixel tall space under the
horizontal scrollbar of the timeline. If the mouse pointer is on that space,
then the mouse wheel works during selection.

2020-02-05 Thread Andrea Scarpino

Git commit e5e60a1692fe7bed0e3537bef63747ef100d643f by Andrea Scarpino, on
behalf of Frédéric Brière.
Committed on 05/02/2020 at 23:48.

twitter: Don't overwrite original contents of retweets

Retweets are apparently still subject to a 140-character limit, and may
be truncated if the original Tweet was an extended Tweet, or if the
additional "RT @user" prefix pushes them beyond the limit.

If `repeatedPostId` has been set by setRepeatedOfInfo(), then `content`
already contains the full text of the original Tweet, and we don't need
to do anything.

(This doesn't apply to TwitterSearch::readStatusesFromJsonMap(), which
does not call setRepeatedOfInfo() in the first place.)

[kded-appmenu] [Bug 416911] Titlebar or global menu not working with RKWard and opened script

2020-02-05 Thread Cezar Tigaret
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416911

Cezar Tigaret changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||cezar.tiga...@gmail.com

SUMMARY:
rkward loses the global application menu after regaining focus.

I use the Window AppMenu widget (instead of global AppMenu) and an Application
Menu button on the window manager title bar. The Applications Menu Daemon is
running.

When rkwad is first launched, both the AppMenu widget (on the panel) and the
Application Menu button are present.

They persist as long as rkward's main window does not lose focus (i.e., even
after rkward loads the workspace and opens the viewer windows as per the last
session, and during switching between viewers attached to the main window
using the tabs at the top).

Both the global app menu for rkward and the app menu button in rkward window
title disappear when rkward loses focus (either by detaching one of its viewer
windows, or after focusing on another application window)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. start rkward, open an existing RData file
2. rkward loads rdata and windows layout, opens object viewers attached to main
window
3. rkward main window loses both the appmenu and the app menu button after
either :
3.a) switching to another application window then back to rkward
3.b) detaching a window (e.g. script, or output, or html help, or data.frame
window)
NOTE: if the detached window is one of the following, it DOES retain both
its own appmenu and the app menu button on its own window title:
object viewer window, data.frame window, html window (either a help
window or the output window)

NOTE: if the detached window is a script editor, it loses both the appmenu
and its application menu button from its own window title

Unfortunately, neither of the detached windows offer any way to get to the
plot, analysis, distribution and other plugin menus , nor to the settings menu
for rkward (so no packages can be loaded/installed/updated via the gui)

I use rkward version 0.7.1
KDE Plasma version 5.17.90
KDE Frameworks version 5.66.0
Qt 5.14.1
OS: openSUSE Leap 15.1, kernel 4.12.14-lp151.28.36-default

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 417170] Option in Baloo to index filename, tags, ratings and comments

2020-02-05 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417170

I noticed that if baloo indexing was disabled Dolphin stopped displaying
metadata in the (filesystem) folders; if you have added columns for "tags",
"ratings", they'd be unpopulated. It also stopped offering tag folders.

Google shows quite a few threads on baloo and CPU load, including advice how to
disable it.

Personal experience is I've have one instance of a baloo index corrupting (no
problem once you realise it, purge and rebuild) but I've also noticed a fair
load on the system when renaming folders under Pictures, to the extent that
logging out and back in again is a worthy workround.

If you are indexing images (with tags, ratings and comments), I feel you only
really need the metadata.

Hmm, when I toggle the setting in the KCM, it sets that to true or false, as
appropriate.

What does `balooctl config show contentIndexing` say?

Does the value in the config file get updated if you use the CLI, with:
- `balooctl config set contentIndexing false`
- `balooctl config set contentIndexing true`

2020-02-05 Thread Christoph Feck

It would make sense to inform the user and (optionally) correct any surrounding
whitespace when he enters such a template in the Spectacle configuration
dialog. It also makes sense generally in the Save dialog, so I suggest to use
two separate tickets.
