[kpat] [Bug 290647] Forty & Eight solver falsely reports "Game cannot be won"

2020-07-18 Thread Ian Wadham
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=290647

I know how to fix this problem --- patches are being prepared.

Actually there are two problems. The first is where the Forty & Eight solver
fails to report both cards as possible moves when there are two cards of the
same suit and rank that can "go out" onto a Foundation pile. The second is
that, even if both cards are reported to the generic solver and Hint action,
Autodrop plays the first one in the list onto the Foundation, thus making the
second card unplayable. That card might be a winner and the first card might be
a loser or either card might at least be a better or preferred move, which
would improve your chances of winning.

As additional info, the ubuntu package of 5.0.8 is built with qtwebkit, which
has been deprecated for a while, to be replaced by qtwebengine. I do NOT see
the problem on my main PC, with KMM compiled with webengine instead of webkit.
I'll leave a final decision to the developers, but I suspect this will not be
addressed here. You might want to file a but with Ubuntu to switch from webkit
to webengine for KMM. (I admit, I'm only assuming your other right-click
issues are related to this, but it seems reasonable.)

[kmymoney] [Bug 424188] Account names only display partially on Home View

2020-07-18 Thread Jack
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424188

First, your example screenshot is not helpful, as I have no idea what those
account names are supposed to be. However, I believe this is because the Home
View is essentially implemented with HTML, and the angle brackets are
interpreted as some tag it doesn't know about, and so just dropped. If the
name is "name with stuff in brackets yao." it will appear on the home
page as "name with yao" but then the literal etc will
show up everywhere else, which is obviously not a solution. I suppose it would
be possible for the program to properly quote any character with special
meaning to HTML on the home page.

[elisa] [Bug 424393] New: Elisa trips Qt assertion when scrolling through album view

2020-07-18 Thread A. Wilcox
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424393

Bug ID: 424393
Summary: Elisa trips Qt assertion when scrolling through album
view
   Product: elisa
   Version: 20.04.3
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: matthieu_gall...@yahoo.fr

SUMMARY
First run of Elisa, it successfully imported 499 music files from $HOME/Music.
The Albums view was the default view.

I attempted to scroll down to view more albums, and Elisa immediately crashed:

ASSERT: "phase == Startup" in file qml/qqmlobjectcreator.cpp, line 161

I can reproduce this crash every time. Running Elisa inside GDB allows the
second page to be displayed, but the third page still crashes.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Elisa.
2. Scroll the Album view.

OBSERVED RESULT
ASSERT: "phase == Startup" in file qml/qqmlobjectcreator.cpp, line 161

EXPECTED RESULT
Albums displayed.

I think things are actually working correctly, even if a bit confusing. It
would help if it were clear from which View each screenshot were taken.

You made a payment to a pizzeria, and you made it a split transaction, and put
a tag on one of the splits. That split was for the partial payment to the
category of reimbursable:work (mgi brisbane). From the Tags View, selecting
that tag, the column after the date is the category, even though the column
head says account. In the context of the Category, the amount of that split IS
income. Hopefully this now makes more sense.

[kmymoney] [Bug 424321] "Find transaction" does not respect filter

Jack changed:

I seem to be getting apparently inconsistent results. With "Current year" and
all other filters at default, I get 2469 matching transactions. If I select no
categories, I get 303. If I add one category, I get over 1500, and many of
these do NOT have that category. As I add categories, I get more transactions,
but not necessarily ones using those categories. So it looks like category is
having some effect on the search, but not as expected.

Additional oddity - selecting zero or one category, the dialog displays the
warning that filtering by category will eliminate transfers from the results,
but I do have at least one transfer in the matching transactions.

[plasmashell] [Bug 424391] Add option to move windows to another screen

2020-07-18 Thread Siddhartha
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424391

Note that I've set my task manager to only show windows from the current screen
and the "Move to Screen" option will only affect the windows in one screen.

For the default option where the task manager shows windows from all screens,
not sure what the right semantics should be, but the simple action of moving
all windows across all screens to only one screen could be one way to go.

[extra-cmake-modules] [Bug 424392] New: Require CMake 3.15 due to list(PREPEND ...)

2020-07-18 Thread Matthias Ansorg
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424392

Bug ID: 424392
Summary: Require CMake 3.15 due to list(PREPEND ...)
   Product: extra-cmake-modules
   Version: 5.72.0
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: AndroidToolchain
  Assignee: aleix...@kde.org
  Reporter: matth...@ansorgs.de
CC: ecm-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

The current master toolchain/Android.cmake file says it requires CMake 3.7:

cmake_minimum_required(VERSION "3.7")

However, it uses "list(PREPEND ...)" calls, such as in l. 165:

list(PREPEND CMAKE_FIND_LIBRARY_SUFFIXES "_${CMAKE_ANDROID_ARCH_ABI}.so")

This syntax was introduced in CMake 3.15. Compare:

https://cmake.org/cmake/help/v3.15/command/list.html
https://cmake.org/cmake/help/v3.14/command/list.html

Consequentially, Android.cmake should require CMake 3.15. Otherwise, we'll see
errors such as the following when using the file it with an earlier version of
CMake (in my case 3.13.4 from Ubuntu 19.10 packages):

CMake Error at /usr/local/share/ECM/toolchain/Android.cmake:165 (list):
list does not recognize sub-command PREPEND

Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager

SUMMARY
Current task manager allows moving all windows in a group to another desktop
with the Right Click context menu -> Move to Desktop. It'd be nice to have the
same option for "Move to Screen" to move all windows in a group to another
screen.

Note that this option is already present for individual windows in the context
menu of the title bar of windows. Should be easy to add this to the task
manager menu as well.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423175

i've been doing some reading and have a question. what matters to KDE/Qt? the
state bit returned in a keypress event (essentially the alias of a slot in the
modifier table) or the keysym associated with the keycode used to trigger the
turning on of the state bit? emacs, for example, cares about the *keysym*. the
System Settings app (/usr/bin/systemsettings5) cares about the *keysym*. but
i'm guessing kwin actually cares about the modifier map slot and has a
hard-coded understanding that mod1 is Alt and mod2 is Meta?

On my system, if I leave just one language in Languages kcm (American English
in my case) and it is different from the language of the region configured in
Formats kcm (Brazil in my case), Plasma uses the language of the region
selected in Formats kcm after re-login.
If I add both American English and Portuguese to Languages kcm then I can use
American English as Plasma language and formats from Brazil at the same time.

I don't know if this is relevant, but my laptop has a mute key with a little
light on it so you can tell when the sound is muted. I notice that the light is
illuminated when I start up the machine and remains illuminated while SDDM is
visible. Once I log in, the light turns off, indicating that sound is no longer
muted. So perhaps what's happening is that all sound is somehow getting muted,
and then it un-mutes only after login?

Same thing here.
The hard disk where my system is installed has an additional EXT4 partition to
store personal data and 2 NTFS partitions, Plasma only tries to mount the ETX4
one after login. This EXT4 partition is already mounted on boot (I edited fstab
file to it) but Plasma tries to mount it again after login and asks for my
password.
I use other 2 hard disks, but Plasma only tries to mount the additional EXT4
partition of the hard disk where my system is installed.
This behavior only occurs on my system if "Enable automatic mounting of
removable media"
option is checked in System Settings > Removable Storage > Removable Devices.

In my case Plasma tries to mount sda4 partition

Do you know why payee are set "No Matching" by default ?

After importing a qif file, I always check all the transactions imported. This
behaviour is maybe too safe ?

Your original payee is marked No Matching. That is why the import doesn't

[krita] [Bug 424387] New: Node.setOpacity(int) fails to visually update

2020-07-18 Thread RKS
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424387

Bug ID: 424387
Summary: Node.setOpacity(int) fails to visually update
   Product: krita
Version: nightly build (please specify the git hash!)
  Platform: Appimage
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Scripting
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: rks...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

The function setOpacity(int) of class Node (tested only on Paint Layer), fails
to visually update on its own, although it does get reflected in layers docker
(it shows new opacity). If I try to paint on the layer, the new strokes are of
new opacity whereas old strokes stay with old opacity value. But it fixes if i
try to change opacity manually via layers docker.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make sure a paint layer is selected, with something painted on it, I assume
its 255 (100%).
2. Run a script which changes the active node's opacity by node.setOpacity(int)
to some new value, say 128 (50%).

OBSERVED RESULT

Layers docker updates the current layer's opacity to 50% but nothing happens
visually on the canvas. Trying to paint will paint new strokes with 50% but
older strokes stay at 100%. Trying to change opacity of the layer manually
fixes this.

EXPECTED RESULT

The canvas should update to new opacity.

NOTE :

- If I am expected to call some function to notify canvas after I call
setOpacity(int) then it should be mentioned in the document. Currently nothing
is mentioned.

- As a workaround, I just call node.rotateNode(0.0) after changing opacity.
This fixes the problem, the canvas gets updated with new opacity value.

The "Send via Email..." plugin is a piece of code that lives in the Purpose
framework, which is a part of the KDE Frameworks product, so that's why I moved
it to the frameworks-purpose product in the bug tracker.

It's not something you need to worry about. :)

I'm unable to reproduce this bug in the latest release (4.3.0).
Can anybody confirm that this bug is still present in the latest release?

When I draw a shape with a color selected on the color circle and pick it up
with the eye-dropper the color of the color circle doesn't change.

(This may be another bug, but seems related)
When a color is selected on the color wheel, and the color model type is
changed the square inside the color wheel is moved. Although this is the case
for all the color model types.

Individual core CPU usage monitor.

SUMMARY
Running latest plasma (5.19.3) on Fedora 32 OS running on a dual Xeon (2 x 10
cores w/ HT) workstation.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add individual core system monitor widget.

1. Default CPU core order is more-or-less random.
2. Spacing between the CPU label and the core ID is not identical.

EXPECTED RESULT
1. Default CPU cores sort order should be numerical and not alpha-numerical
(core 30 should follow core core 29. and not core 3).
2. Core ID should be placed closer to the "CPU" label.
3. CPU usage value should be spaced further from the CPU_$ID, preferably with
some thin line connecting the two.

[kmymoney] [Bug 424378] Values of date picker runs out of control for scheduled payments and transactions

2020-07-18 Thread Jack
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=424378

Have you confirmed this is specific to the date part of the date picker? Have
you tried it on the year or month? Have you tried using any other date picker
in another app? (Just trying to be sure if this is specific to one widget or
more general.)

I have not looked at the files yet, but are you sure there isn't some
non-printing character in one of the entries?

[digikam] [Bug 420868] Random crashes, no error messages. Windows event report follows, suspect TIFF plugin

2020-07-18 Thread Josec
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420868

Not sure if replying to this old ticket is the appropriate way to report, but
this looks like basically the same problem I experienced before. DigiKam is
crashing on startup after getting through 15% of "Finding new items" and I am
getting what looks like the same error message in Windows logs:
Faulting application name: digikam.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp:
0x
Faulting module name: DImg_TIFF_Plugin.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp:
0x
Exception code: 0xc005
Fault offset: 0x43d5
Faulting process id: 0x3a1c
Faulting application start time: 0x01d65d2975f129e3
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\digiKam\digikam.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program
Files\digiKam\plugins\digikam\dimg\DImg_TIFF_Plugin.dll
Report Id: 7749097c-d187-4ef4-a881-b3b3a73023af
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

I tried moving any large TIF files out of the pictures directory which did not
help, so I ran MS DebugView and attached the output. I did notice that it
lookd as though DK was having problems with my *.afphoto" files which is my
Affinity editor output.

I am running the latest RS from June 2020.
