[kwin] [Bug 443757] Please bring back cover switch effect
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443757 --- Comment #17 from Josesk Volpe --- (In reply to Robin Bankhead from comment #16) > Have just updated to 5.24 and have to be honest, this is not a very good > replacement. > > - Windows are smaller > - Thick blue border around centred window > - No reflections > - Opaque grey background instead of wallpaper shaded > - Transition animation is too slow but jerky at start and end > > The smoothness and visual appeal of the old cover switch is basically all > gone. Aesthetically none of the ways this has changed are appealing to me. > Sorry if a bit negative, hope others like it but I won't be using it. Yeah, i agree That's a reasonable replacement for me. And it's way easier for them to maintain though One of the reasons i used this is that i like skeuomorphism and detailed desktops, so i also miss other effects like the cube desktop switch when they got removed, and removing reflections made it feel very incomplete for me, basically not a upgrade Not having the opening animation also made it feel incomplete, and having the tasks going like teleporting instead of moving when i hold Tab down makes it feels glitcy (they move when i single-press Tab though) This replacement was needed ans it's cool that we have it instead of losing that option, but it was mostly a downgrade and it doesn't gets on the feet of the older one that got removed. I give it 5/10, well, better than nothing. Since i manually updated the switchers on the latest Plasma release, they have got broken and somehow downgrading them did not solve this, so i'm waiting for the next Plasma release on Manjaro that'll bring these replacements. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=450192 --- Comment #1 from Jessica --- Maybe it's better to implement epub support yourself then using a library? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=450192 Bug ID: 450192 Summary: drag and drop: epub format support Product: tellico Version: unspecified Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: ro...@periapsis.org Reporter: jess.jones.unitedking...@protonmail.com Target Milestone: --- Hi I read in the handbook of tellico "Dragging data files to the main Tellico window and dropping them will import the files, just as if the import command was made from the menus. Drag and drop works for the following file formats: Tellico, Bibtex, RIS, and PDF. Importing multiple files at once is also supported." Since the EPUB format is widely used and can be used for a book collection, I would like to request support for this format for drag and drop. Maybe somewhere an open source cross platform library exists that can be used for supporting many ebook formats all at once in an easy way? Thanks for this great program! [extra-cmake-modules] [Bug 444547] Build failure on Linux Clang targets with usage of atomics
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444547 Alex Fan changed: What|Removed |Added CC||alex.fa...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Alex Fan --- Can we include the ```HAVE_CXX_ATOMICS_WITH_LIB OR HAVE_CXX_ATOMICS64_WITH_LIB``` part in 5.1.0 and possibly also 5.0.x? Currently as I see, this patch only exists in master branch. The reason is not clang specific, but on platforms like riscv that have builtin 64bits atomics while lacks anything smaller, HAVE_CXX_ATOMICS_WITHOUT_LIB is FALSE and HAVE_CXX_ATOMICS64_WITHOUT_LIB is TRUE. So the condition ``` if(NOT HAVE_CXX_ATOMICS_WITHOUT_LIB) if(NOT HAVE_CXX_ATOMICS64_WITHOUT_LIB)``` still doesn't link atomic though checkatomic.cmake sets these value correctly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 443757] Please bring back cover switch effect
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443757 --- Comment #16 from Robin Bankhead --- Have just updated to 5.24 and have to be honest, this is not a very good replacement. - Windows are smaller - Thick blue border around centred window - No reflections - Opaque grey background instead of wallpaper shaded - Transition animation is too slow but jerky at start and end The smoothness and visual appeal of the old cover switch is basically all gone. Aesthetically none of the ways this has changed are appealing to me. Sorry if a bit negative, hope others like it but I won't be using it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 450186] New: Cannot restore stopped activities
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=450186 Bug ID: 450186 Summary: Cannot restore stopped activities Product: plasmashell Version: 5.24.0 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Activity Switcher Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: piotr.mierzwin...@gmail.com CC: ivan.cu...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY I don't understand why is present option to stop activity if there is not possibility to start it again, or I cannot find it. I found only button to delete it. In System Settings also is missing option to start, previously stopped Activity (is present only button to delete). Here, on the list there is not even possible to distinguish which activity is stopped and which not. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add couple activities, let it be 4 2. stop 2 of them 3. Try to start them again OBSERVED RESULT is not possible to start again stopped activity EXPECTED RESULT would be nice to user be able start, stopped activity SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.24 KDE Frameworks Version:5.90 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 450185] New: Clipboard - keyboard shortcuts are mystery for user and navigation works not intuitive
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=450185 Bug ID: 450185 Summary: Clipboard - keyboard shortcuts are mystery for user and navigation works not intuitive Product: plasmashell Version: 5.24.0 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Clipboard Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: piotr.mierzwin...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY > The new versions of the Clipboard and Network widgets can now be navigated > with just your keyboard. I opened Clipboard and I hovered my mouse the first item, now using arrows Up and Down I was able to navigate in list, great. Only when I press Tab this stopped work (I needed to close and open again the Clipboard to to able to navigate again). Seems focus went somewhere and didn't want to back. When I pressed Tab couple time I was able to navigate by keyboard again. I use Plasma Style calling: "Plasma Relax" and here there is not showing any frame on buttons present in top of Clipboard widget when I press Tab. If I closed Clipboard and opened it again, in Search field cursor didn't blink, whereas I expected this, only I could still navigate by keyboard (Del removed entry) on list. Seems close and oped doesn't reset it. When I pressed arrow Right (cursors was blinking in Search field), then all disappeared, but fortunately arrow Left made that all back. I don't know if I can invoke any option by any shortcut for clipboard entry, because there is no any information about that in Clipboard widget, even in tool tip when I hover proper button there is no shown any shortcut, so how can I to find out if this is possible?
