So installing a local samba server on your linux pc with a single exported
share is not an option?

I've backported your fix to kio-5.25.0-142.1.src.rpm, and tested it. It works
for the smb io slave and fixes the issue that was originally reported.

But there seems to be a corner case where it doesn't. The menu entry is still
disabled the very first time one tries it. If one closes and restarts Dolphin
(or if you have 2 smb shares in Places, and you repeat steps 3-5 on against the
second sbm share), then it starts working.

[ktorrent] [Bug 362513] New: ktorrent4 config settings are not migrated to ktorrent5. New configuration settings are ignored as well.

2016-04-30 Thread Vadym Krevs via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362513

Bug ID: 362513
Summary: ktorrent4 config settings are not migrated to
ktorrent5. New configuration settings are ignored as
well.
   Product: ktorrent
   Version: 5.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: joris.guis...@gmail.com
  Reporter: vkr...@yahoo.com

Just upgraded to ktorrent 5.0 from OBS on openSUSE 42.1 Leap.

Started ktorrent. It lost all the configuration settings from ktorrent4. Never
mind. Opened Settings->Configure Ktorrent->Application. Changed "Default save
location" and "Copy saved torrent files" to what I need it to be. Attempted to
open an existing torrent file. The open torrent dialog offers to save the file
to $HOME ignoring the path in "Default save location". Nevermind that,
manually navigated to the right folder, and clicked ok. Got an error message
"Could not write to file:name of
torrent file", even though the "Copy saved torrent files" location already
exists and is writable.

Restarted ktorrent. Same behaviour.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. See details section
2.
3.

Actual Results:
See details section

Expected Results:
old configuration settings are automatically migrated to the new ktorrent
version. Any changes to the configfuration settings in Settings->Configure
Ktorrent like default save location are not ignored.

openSUSE 42.1 Leap with latest plasma/kde frameworks from obs. My pc has two
monitors attached to it.

On the Energy Saving tab in System Settings->Power Management I've unchecked
all options except for "Screen Energy Saving" which is set to switch off after

Bug ID: 357642
Summary: Calendar no longer highlights holidays like Bank
Holidays, Christmas, New Year
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.5.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Calendar
  Assignee: mklape...@kde.org
  Reporter: vkr...@yahoo.com
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org

This is a regression. In KDE 4.14, the calendar popup wrapped each bank holiday
in a thin red line. In 5.5.2 this useful feature is gone.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on the digital clock in the panel. Pop up calendar appears.
2. Scroll to January or December.
3.

Actual Results:
Public holidays (Jan 1st, etc) are indistingushable from normal days.

Expected Results:
Public holidays (Jan 1st, etc) are highlighted and are easily identified.

ok, ran "kcmshell mouse".

Double click interval was set to 400msec. Increased to 800msec, clicked Apply.
Now double-clicking on titlebars does the expected thing.

Set double click interval back to 400msec, clicked Apply. Double-clicking on
titlebars still does the expected thing. Win!

Ran dolphin5, opened the settings dialog, closed, exited dolphin5 - no effect
on double click behavior - still works.

[plasmashell] [Bug 357609] New: Plasma 5 desktop hangs after exiting libreoffice writer

2016-01-06 Thread Vadym Krevs via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357609

Bug ID: 357609
Summary: Plasma 5 desktop hangs after exiting libreoffice
writer
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.5.2
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: vkr...@yahoo.com
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org

I've recently upgraded from openSUSE 13.2 to Leap 42.1 and installed the latest
KDE Frameworks/Applications from openSUSE OBS:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Frameworks5/openSUSE_Leap_42.1/
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Applications/openSUSE_Leap_42.1/

My PC has an Nvidia card with proprietary drivers, and dual full HD monitors.

It appears that starting any LibreOffice application, maximizing it, then
restoring it, then exiting causes the plasma desktop to hang. The mouse cursor
is still visible, and responds to mouse movement, however plasma widgets,
panel, desktop no longer react to any mouse events. Ctrl-Esc and Alt-F2 don't
seem to do anything.

This behaviour is only observed when libreoffice is using the KDE integration
(libreoffice-kde4-5.0.2.2-1.2.x86_64). If it is uninstalled, then libreoffice
with GTK3 ui works just fine.

I've tried all the workarounds listed in
https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/511086-LibreOffice-5-freezes-system/
(like clearing libreoffice config directory, etc) to no avail.

I've set the volume of "Built-in Audio Alalog Stereo" playback device to 50%

[Powerdevil] [Bug 357449] New: laptop screen is always dimmed after 5 min

2016-01-02 Thread Vadym Krevs via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357449

Bug ID: 357449
Summary: laptop screen is always dimmed after 5 min
   Product: Powerdevil
   Version: 5.5.2
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: plasma-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: vkr...@yahoo.com

openSUSE Leap 42.1 on a Sony SVE1711X1EB laptop. The laptop is on AC power, and
the battery is 100% charged,

I've changed the defaults under Energy Saving/On AC Power in the Power
Management module in System Settings to dim laptop screen after 10 min (from
the default 5 min) and to switch off the screen after 20 min (from the default
of 10 min).

However, these new settings are ignored, and the screen is always dimmed after
5 min, and switched off after 10. I've tried rebooting, powering off the
laptop, etc - my customized settings are preserved and totally ignored.

openSUSE Leap 42.1 user here.

I changed the default Konsole font from Oxygen Mono/Regular to Liberation
Mono/Regular. Unlike Oxygen Mono, which is available only in Regular font
style, Liberation Mono is available in other font styles, in particular Bold,
which is listed first, while Regular is listed last in the Konsole's "Select
fixed width font" dialog. Even though I have selected the regular font style,
exiting all Konsole instances, restarting, and opening the "Select fixed width
font" dialog results in the first listed font style being selected, and thus if
one clicks ok, the default Konsole font changes to bold style. If I explicitly
re-select the regular font style, then konsole switches back to the regular
font style but ignores the checked "Draw intense colours in bold" setting.

This happens with any font other than Oxygen Mono that has more than one font
style and
where regular style is not the listed first.

Qt 5.5.1 (built against 5.5.1)

Yes, you're correct. For some reason, opensuse-built nvidia driver rpms from
the nvidia repo did not work. So I uninstalled them, and installed using nvidia
driver installer from nvidia, and crashes vanished.
