In the render dialog, when creating a new rendering profile, the corresponding
"Save Profile" dialog contains a link "MLT documentation". When clicking on
this link, an error message pops up, saying:
Configuration file "$HOME/.config/kde-open5rc" not writable. Please contact
your system administrator."
I'm lost as to what I should do now; except filing a bug report ;)

As the angle of rotation is limited to 0...+360° it is only possible to rotate CW. For static compositing this is fine, but when using keyframes it might be necessary to rotate CCW instead. So please add support for rotation from -360°...+360° as, for instance, Affine does. 2. The origin of rotation is the upper left corner. However, I would expect this to be the center of the image, where also the cross marker for moving the frame is located. Please support rotation along the center axis. Jesse's old problem with false clipping seems to be gone, as I could not reproduce it either. 2. When slapping pos+zoom onto the clip it at first disappears. As soon as I press center (hor/vert, doesn't matter), the clip correctly appears overlay and can be positioned correctly. (I seem to remember that it has been renamed.) I've tried to reproduce, but the current stable 16.04.2 and beta both don't crash when setting the Tilt X effect parameter to 0. The image is moved offscreen as expected. Can you please check with recent stable 16.04.2 or current beta if you can still trigger this crash? Keyframing the speed effect is not really possible at this time, the reason is how the clip length is to be calculated? This would need integration over the whole clip from the beginning in order to find out where a particular frame for a given position in the timeline is. Do you have any idea as to how to solve this? Paul, would you consider the fixed audio support to be sufficient, and in that case close this bug as resolved fixed? This looks to me to be an MLT issue upstream, as MLT is the one serializing the Kdenlive project. The Kdenlive project information is just piggybacked onto it, with most information already coming from inside MLT/timeline and only those remaining project information MLT lacks gets piggybacked. The only way may be to set a different root property of the MLT XML serializer; maybe we could use the base directory of the .kdenlive project file. However, I'm unsure as to what this actually will buy us: when moving a project file together with its media files, the rebase still becomes necessary, as MLT will trip over the root= attribute not pointing to the new location of the project file anymore. So we would need to ask the user to locate the media clips anyway. Not perfect, but there doesn't seem to be any other option left, at least with the current MLT XML de/serializer architecture.
