I just had the same, I plugged in HDMI and PowerDevil wouldn't notice (didn't
show the hint about how it won't suspend now), I'll have a look, thanks.

I'm experiencing the same bug. The "Even when an external monitor is connected"
option is unchecked but the system goes to sleep when closing the lid anyway.

Does battery monitor show "your computer is configured not to suspend when
closing the lid because an external monitor is connected" ?
