It's an upstream bug, okular doesn't need to be released at all for this.

Please file a bug against poppler (splash component) in
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/ 

poppler is the pdf rendering library we use in okular and the bug is there.

Without a sample PDF to reproduce this problem it will be hard (if not
