[Bug 207235] New: KMail crashes when I change folders on an IMAP-Server

2009-09-13 Thread Carsten Niehaus
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207235

Summary: KMail crashes when I change folders on an IMAP-Server
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: cnieh...@kde.org

Application that crashed: kontact
Version of the application: 4.3.1
KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) release 1
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31-rc9-7-default i686
Distribution: openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 7 (i586)

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I use googlemail with IMAP in KMail. KMail just crashed when I switched folders
(from spam to inbox). Before switching I deleted them spam mails, it might be
that the mails had not jet been deleted (I switched the folder right after
pressing the del key).

I have quite a lot mails in my inbox, almost 2, perhaps that is important.

This is the second time I have a crash when switching folders, but the first
time I couldn't get a good backtrace.

[Bug 207268] New: 'Mark Message' and 'Mark Thread' submenu items need to be shorter

2009-09-13 Thread OsamaK
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207268

Summary: 'Mark Message' and 'Mark Thread' submenu items need to
be shorter
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: osamak@gmail.com

Version:(using KDE 4.3.1)

Under 'Message' menu, 'Mark Message' and 'Mark Thread' submenu items need to be
shorter in order to give a 'correct' meaning.

In the current style it's something like this:
Message - Mark Message - Mark Message as Read
- Mark Message as New
- Mark Message as Unread
- ...
- Mark Thread - Mark Thread as Read
- Mark Thread as New
- Mark Thread as Unread
- ...

It's enough to include 'Read', 'New', 'Unread' etc. and add 'as' in the end of
'Mark Message' and 'Mark Thread'.

Please note that 'Watch Thread' and 'Ignore Thread' items in 'Mark Thread'
submenu, needs to find some other place (maybe items in the 'Message' menu?).

Status: UNCONFIRMED

Compiler: cc
OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-0.slh.1-sidux-686

It's nice to be able to open several mail folders in tabs in kmail. Alas it is
not possible to close the tabs with a middle mouse click like it is e.g. in
dolphin and webbrowsers. It would be more convenient to have a consistent tab
closing behaviour throughout all applications.

sent to the selected person.

- Launch KAB
- Go to Settings menu/Configure Toolbars...
- The 'Configure Toolbars' dialogue appears
- Select 'Main Toolbar kaddressbook' from the 'Toolbar' combo box.
- In the 'Current actions' column there are already three actions selected by
default: New Contact, New Group and Quick search.
- Select 'Copy Contact' from the 'Available actions' column and click on the
right hand side arrow.
- Click on 'Apply'

The 'Copy Contact' button appears but so do the 'New Contact' and 'New Group'
buttons along with it.

The only mean to add only the 'Copy Contact' button is to deselect manually the
three default actions (select them and click on the left side arrow and then on
'Apply')

Those default actions should not be there at all.

[Bug 207297] New: 'Delete Address Book' button cannot be added from the 'Configure Toolbars' dialogue.

2009-09-13 Thread Sabine Faure
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207297

Summary: 'Delete Address Book' button cannot be added from the
'Configure Toolbars' dialogue.
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: sab...@kdab.net
CC: to...@kde.org

Version:(using Devel)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.2
OS:Linux
Installed from:Compiled sources

- Launch KAB
- Go to Settings menu/Configure Toolbars...
- The 'Configure Toolbars' dialogue appears
- Select 'Main Toolbar kaddressbook' from the 'Toolbar' combo box.
- In the 'Available actions' column select 'Delete Address Book'
- click on the right hand side arrow.
- Click on 'Apply'

The 'Delete Address Book' button should be added to the Kaddressbook toolbar
but it is not.
Instead the 'Search field' disappear for no reason.

[Bug 207296] New Contact, New group and Quick Search actions are preselected by default in the 'Configure Toolbar' dialogue

2009-09-13 Thread Sabine Faure

--- Comment #1 from Sabine Faure sabine kdab net 2009-09-14 00:12:16 ---
Except for Quick Search maybe.

- Click on the 'Defaults' button from the 'Configure Toolbars' dialogue.

All the buttons that you have added are removed except the default ones 'New
Contact' and 'New Group'

[Bug 207299] New: Adding any action from the 'Configure Toolbars' breaks the 'Navigator' toolbar display.

2009-09-13 Thread Sabine Faure
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207299

Summary: Adding any action from the 'Configure Toolbars' breaks
the 'Navigator' toolbar display.
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: sab...@kdab.net
CC: to...@kde.org

Version:(using Devel)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.2
OS:Linux
Installed from:Compiled sources

- Launch KAB
- Go to Settings menu/Toolbars and check the 'Navigator' toolbar.
- Nine buttons should appear on the right hand side of the 'Search' field.
- Go to Settings menu/Configure Toolbars...
- The 'Configure Toolbars' dialogue appears
- Select any toolbar from the 'Toolbar' combo box.
- Select any action from the 'Available actions' column and click on the right
hand side arrow.
- Click on 'Apply'

A button is created after the action you selected and appears on the right hand
side of the search field.

But instead of being added to the nine already existing buttons of the
Navigator toolbar, it is alone.

It seems that the 'Navigator toolbar has disappeared and it cannot be made
visible again unless closing and restarting Kaddressbook.
