--- Comment #2 from gilada gilada arcor de 2010-04-30 10:53:30 ---
Hallo,

habe die Pakete Klamav und Clamav deinstalliert, nach dem Neustart war das
Problem (01.01.1970) verschwunden. Nun darf ich auf den Bug von (K)Clamav in
Verbindung mit Kmail hoffen?

i am quite done with this one.
I have found an other issue that i want to fix on the same time ( when there is
no addressbook, you obtain an empty list )

Translation:

After removing the Klamav and Clamav packages, the problem was gone.
Might it be a problem in K/Clamav in conjunction with KMail?

[Bug 235802] New: Kamil crashes when closed after it stopped updating IMAP mail folders

2010-04-30 Thread GvLists
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235802

Summary: Kamil crashes when closed after it stopped updating
IMAP mail folders
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.13.2
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: gvli...@gmx.com

Application: kmail (1.13.2)
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2)
Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-21-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
I was waiting endlessly to get the IMAP folder updated. At the end I decided to
close kmail and start again. Then I got this crash.

I am not sure if it is a good idea to update a folder everytime I open it. Is
it possible to do this updating in the background. I understand that there will
be problems with that.

[Bug 235835] New: Akonadi Imap resource crash when Relaunching KOrg

2010-04-30 Thread Sabine Faure
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235835

Summary: Akonadi Imap resource crash when Relaunching KOrg
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: IMAP resource
AssignedTo: er...@kde.org
ReportedBy: sab...@kdab.net
CC: vkra...@kde.org, kdepim-bugs@kde.org

Application: akonadi_imap_resource (0.1)
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.3 (KDE 4.4.3) (Compiled from sources)
Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-19-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu lucid (development branch)

-- Information about the crash:
This crash only happened once up til now:
- It happened when I restarted KOrg after I switched off my computer by force
since it would not shut down using K menu/Leave/Shutdown after testing Group
Scheduling functionalities (I never received the emails so I wanted to log out
and log back in to see if the emails would be sent)
- When I restarted the computer KOrg was relaunched automatically but the Imap
resource crashed.

Trunk, Svn Rev 1121099

[Bug 235848] New: can't display KNote of choice in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

2010-04-30 Thread Mark
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235848

Summary: can't display KNote of choice in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
   Product: knotes
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: x19m...@yahoo.com

Version: 3.9 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-21-generic

Hi,

Almost nothing fully pleases me. openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 3.5.[whatever] actually
pleased me a great deal. KNotes (in openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 3.5.[whatever])
pleased me mightily.

I like this saying: If it ain't broke, don't fix it! KDE 3.5 was great. KDE 4
is terrible. That is why I switched from openSUSE to Ubuntu. It took me quite a
while to get used to Gnome. I vastly prefer KDE 3.5 to Gnome, but I prefer
Gnome to KDE 4.

I found that I couldn't enjoy life without KNotes. I tried everything. There's
no substitute for KNotes. I was thrilled to discover that I could add KNotes to
Ubuntu 9.10. (Unfortunately, Ubuntu's version of KNotes is not quite as good as
openSUSE's version of KNotes.) Under Ubuntu 9.10, KNotes worked brilliantly
(more or less).

By simply clicking on the KNotes panel icon, I could display a drop-down menu
of all my KNotes (I use a lot of notes). Then, simply by clicking on one of the
menu items--a name of one of my notes--I could display just the KNote that I
wanted to see and use. In other words, I could display any KNote or KNotes that
I wanted to display. I could display one KNote or two KNotes or three KNotes,
etc.

Today--Friday, April 30, 2010--I upgraded from Ubuntu 9.10 to Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
I've discovered that KNotes under Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (which is brand new) has a
serious problem: I can no longer display the KNote or KNotes of my choice. The
new KNotes drop-down menu only allows me to Show All Notes; the new KNotes
drop-down menu does not provide me with a list of names of my KNotes. Every
time that I want to use only one of my KNotes, I have to display all of them
(at once). It's extremely annoying and time-wasting. I end up having to close
all the KNotes except the one or ones that I actually want to use. (Currently,
I have 13 KNotes.) (Maybe that's the problem!)

I'm miserable enough when KNotes works perfectly. Please fix it!!

Bye-bye,

Mark

[Bug 235835] Akonadi Imap resource crash when Relaunching KOrg

--- Comment #2 from David Faure faure kde org 2010-05-01 00:13:16 ---
Here's my debugging of the issue.
The problem is that the imap resource moves on to the next task while it
still has a KIMAP::SelectJob running. So later on when that job finishes, the
resource is quite confused and hits asserts.

The reason why the imap resource moves on to the next task is that
Akonadi::ResourceBasePrivate::slotItemSyncDone calls taskDone.
And ItemSync is done because of an error (ItemFetchJob subjob fails).
But still, taskDone is called too early, since the slot connected to that
KIMAP::SelectJob was the one that was supposed to say itemsRetrievalDone.

I assume the running kimap jobs should be killed when ItemSync fails?
