Actually it answers to all email addresses (including sender) that are in the email you opened the context menu for. And it answers exactly this email. As a former Mutt user I miss this feature, too. My use case is not that much answring multiple mails from different persons, but from the same. But I am willing to add $40 to the pot if *anyone* would show *any* interest in actually accomplishing this. I know my contribution by itself amounts to just about nothing but if I and 50 others did the same it could add up fairly quickly. The trouble is, I just don't believe that those who develop kmail are really interested in doing this. I have waited too long with no hope in sight. This bug has almost 2,500 votes which says to me it is something highly desired by the community. I do not believe that the developers are not skilled enough to do it. I am daily in awe of their skills. I just think they don't *want* to do it and so it is likely to never get done. While this disappoints me I must say that this is the world we have opted into. In an open source, volunteer driven development environment, those of us who are not developers must hope that our desires are shared by those that do develop. When they are not, we must seek solutions elsewhere, Kmail has potential to operate in a corporate environment. Until it grows up it will be relegated to the microcosmic world of the hobbyist. Perhaps the audience for this program *is* the hobbyist and it is *I* who am in the wrong place with wrong expectations. Either way, I want this and am willing to support it to the best of my financial abilities. It is admittedly not much in the scheme of things but with friends it could be. Ideally, the 'Name' field should be in focus so that the user can start typing the name straightaway. Otherwise, it takes one more click before I can start entering the contact information. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Open the KAddressBook Contact Manager. Click New Contact. Actual Results: The dialog doesn't focus the 'Name' field, requiring an extra click before entering the data. Expected Results: The dialog should focus the 'Name' field so that the user can enter data without delay. I think the Address book field is the one in focus, but it's hardly visible because of the oxygen widget style. Without being able to quickly see which field is in focus, the user is left to frantically press Tab to move the focus around. I do not want to enter into the debate about the merits and perils of using HTML in emails, nor do I know much about its security issues. I can live without HTML reply enabled in Kmail, but some recipients expect my replies in this format. Even developers who do not like HTML in messages might have an interest in seing this feature implemented, as this would make Kmail more attractive for end-users thus increasing usage and popularity of the mail programme. Why not setting no HTML as default and giving notice to users who activate the feature? The calendar set as default is displayed correctly in the New event dialogue as long as it is a local calendar. However, when selecting a kolab calendar as a default one (ex: Calendar) then another one, (a local calendar) is displayed instead, when the new event dialogue opens. Kmail works fine until I create a new email and click send... Until I click send, I did not experience any other problems. Kalendar is working fine, The contacts are not accessible (because of akonadi not started) and thats about it. I can receive emails w/o problems. This just happened again. Upon restarting my system and logging in I started
kmail. It didn't appear right away. Remembering what happened before, I ran

I'll attach the full log, which I probably should have let run longer to help
in debugging.
When kmail finally came up I was greeted with 47 dialogs like
kmail_permissions_error.png (attached). The error message read:
The UID cache file for folder 2046725245/[Gmail]/Trash could not be written.
There could be a problem with file system permissions.
Once I closed down all the error dialogs, I was once again greeted with the new
accounts dialog (kmail_new_accounts.png, attached).
As last time, this resulted in both of my dimap accounts being completely
deleted. My account settings were also deleted although my POP-based e-mail was
still present.
