[Bug 254742] getting a conflict for all appointments on the first sync
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=254742 --- Comment #2 from Bernhard E. Reiter bernhard intevation de 2010-10-21 09:55:08 --- I cannot say if this is limited to some folders, it might be. The folder I got it now has 320 entries, I cannot manually go through them to check if I get conflicts in another folder. The same folder is used by myself with e35 and e4 desktop client, which I would expect to flag any real conflict there is. So I am 99% sure this is an artifact of Kontact Mobile. [Bug 77862] kio_imap processes hang when connection status changes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77862 David Faure fa...@kde.org changed: What|Removed |Added CC||fa...@kde.org --- Comment #85 from David Faure faure kde org 2010-10-22 00:43:04 --- Dropping the connection as soon as the IP address goes away is not a good solution. In particular, it would make kmail lose the connection more often when using it in a flaky (unstable) network connection, for instance airport wifi. The way it works with TCP connections is that if you get the same IP address again later, the communication will resume. But if kmail drops the connection immediately when losing the IP, then it behaves worse than currently, in such a situation... I talked to the Qt networking people today, and they agreed. How about just 1) making the timeout shorter (60s instead of 600s or responseTimeout() which defaults to 600 anyway) (at least with responseTimeout() the users can adjust the timeout in a config file, but the default of 10 minutes makes this inpractical for this issue, I think), and: 2) keeping the error handling part of your patch Does this already make things better? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
