[Bug 257867] New: spell checker not refreshing selection window

2010-11-25 Thread Gerry Gavigan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=257867

Summary: spell checker not refreshing selection window
   Product: kmail
   Version: SVN trunk (KDE 4)
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composer
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: gerrys...@gmail.com

first use

Version: SVN trunk (KDE 4) (using Devel)
OS:Linux

Using kmail 2.0.89

spell checker _looks_ as if it isn't working.

After _second_ error found, and that word is chosen that word remains in the
top selection window.

As subsequent errors found, new list to choose from appears, and one can select
a word without any problems, _cosmetically_ it looks like spell check isn't
working

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
use spell checker

Actual Results:
it's cosmetic rather than functional

Expected Results:
the spell checker should update suggested word

spell 1 is start of using spell checker
spell 2 is the state of spell checker having chosen a word
spell 3 shows problem starting

This is a _random_ thought

I've just reported a seemingly similar refresh problem in calendar (257869)
and wonder if there's an underlying issue not specifically related to the
components I'm reporting on, e.g., akonadi?

[Bug 248985] Cannot select (find) photo (image) for Contact

2010-11-25 Thread Volker Krause
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=248985

--- Comment #7 from Volker Krause vkrause kde org 2010-11-25 14:49:54 ---
Caused by an empty file type pattern in the file dialog.

On Maemo5, the suspected cause is a not installed kdelibs5-imageio-plugins
package. For WinCE a hardcoded list needs to be added in KImageIO::pattern,
since sycoca is not available there.

Version: SVN trunk (KDE 4) (using Devel)

This is a very specific problem

forwarding specific emails inline (only) causes kmail/kontact to crash

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
choose the same email - attempt to forward it in-line crashes every time

forward as an attachment - fine
reply - fine

Does not appear to be director or sub-directory dependent, works perfectly for
many emails, haven't found another one that causes it, this one causes it all
the time.

Because of the content of the email I'm reluctant to attempt to post it here

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=257889

Summary: Filtering against address book is broken
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.13.3
  Platform: Mandriva RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: IMAP
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: bugz...@free.fr

Version: 1.13.3 (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS:Linux

Recent address book evolution includes multi address books and requires naming
each address book.
In kmail, matching an address with the address book contents does not work
anymore since this evolution as it is not possible to specify which address
book is implied in the match.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Create a filter :
Settings-Configure filters
From is not in address book
Filter actions=Move into a folder 'filtered'
Press OK
Send a email with the sender being in the address book.

Actual Results:
The received email is stored in 'filtered'

Expected Results:
The received email should be stored in 'Inbox'

[Bug 257895] New: deleting emails seems to cause updating problems

2010-11-25 Thread Gerry Gavigan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=257895

Summary: deleting emails seems to cause updating problems
   Product: kmail
   Version: SVN trunk (KDE 4)
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: gerrys...@gmail.com

Version: SVN trunk (KDE 4)
OS:Linux

deleting emails produced two effects:

after a fair amount of deleting, the headers of deleted emails remained
(faintly) visible in the folder

(closing and re-opening kontact sorted it out)

after a fair amount of deleting, the folder cleared itself and refreshed itself

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
it seems to occur only after several deletes

It's an effect I've noticed in a couple of instances of kontact (it might be
unconnected), reported in bugs 257867, 257869

Hej Andreas,

thanks for the deeper investigation of this issue. The problem was a
deleteLater() call on the dialog when the 'Close' button is clicked.
I have removed this call in commit r1200805, so the dialog object should
be valid until hasError() is called.

Ciao,
Tobias

[Bug 257919] New: Signing emails with S/MIME does not work

2010-11-25 Thread Sabine Faure
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=257919

Summary: Signing emails with S/MIME does not work
   Product: KMail Mobile
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: sab...@kdab.net

Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS:Linux

It is impossible to sign an email using S/MIME at the moment.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Prerequisite: Having an S/MIME key

- Launch Kmail-mobile
- Open the 'Actions' tab
- Click on 'Identities'
- Select an identity and click on 'Modify...' button
- Go to the 'Cryptography' tab
- Scroll down to S/MIME signing certificate and click onto the 'Change...'
button
- Select the signing certificate from the list
- Click on 'Ok' 3 times.
- Click on 'Write new Email' button
- Enter a subject, any recipient and a few words in the text editor
- Open the 'Actions' tab
- Click on 'Security'
- Click on 'Sign'
- A 'Message will be signed' on a green background appears underneath the
email's subject
- Click on 'Send'

Actual Results:
A 'No signing possible - KMail Mobile' pop up dialogue appears with the
following message: 'Examination of recipient's signing preferences showed no
common type of signature matching your available signing keys. Send the message
without signing?'

The user can either click on a 'Cancel' or on a 'Continue' button.

Either way it is impossible to send an email signed using S/MIME atm whatever
the user does.

Expected Results:
It should be possible to send an email signed using S/MIME

N900, 4:4.6~20101125.1200370-1maemo1.1200491

Note: I tried sending a signed email to 4 different recipients but I always got
that same error message.

2010-11-25 Thread Sabine Faure

OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: sab...@kdab.net

Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS:Linux

Configuring signing and encryption keys or certificates in the Cryptography tab
does not work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Prerequisite: Having an S/MIME signing certificate and/or an encryption OpenPGP
key for the recipient

- Launch Kmail-mobile
- Open the 'Actions' tab
- Click on 'Identities'
- Select an identity and click on 'Modify...' button
- Go to the 'Cryptography' tab
- Scroll down to the line 'S/MIME signing certificate:' and click onto the
corresponding 'Change...' button

Actual Results:
A pop up dialogue appears with the message: 'Fetching keys...' and a progress
bar.

Nothing more happens they keys are never found not matter how long the user
waits.

Expected Results:
The keys should be found properly.

Note: Even when the user has managed to configure its keys if she clicks on the
'Change' button the 'Fetching keys...' message appears and deletes the all the
correct keys leaving all the fields empty in the cryptography tab.

I am setting this bug as high priority since it prevents me to fully test the
sign and encryption functionalities

Summary: after update high cpu load without end and I can't see
a lot of mails in subfolders
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 2.0 beta1
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: s...@gmx.de

Version: 2.0 beta1 (using KDE 4.5.80)
OS:Linux

after update from 4.5.3 to 4.6beta1 kontact runs with high cpu load during the
last 8 hours!
And I can't see all emails in my local folder. Btw. I have KMail Folders and
Local Folders. I'm not sure I have this folder before..

Btw. after some clicks in some folder kontact stops the high load.

In my settings I can see:
Local folder: Unable to create maildir ''.

If I click in my KMail Folders in a folder firmen with some subfolders. I
can't see any mails.
In .kde4/share/apps/kmail/mail/.firmen.directory I can see all mails.

I hope it helps.
