[Bug 268954] New: Kontakt crashes sometimes unexpected

2011-03-20 Thread Robin Dieker
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=268954

   Summary: Kontakt crashes sometimes unexpected
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: mautzlogist...@gmail.com

Application: kontact (4.4.6)
KDE Platform Version: 4.5.1 (KDE 4.5.1)
Qt Version: 4.7.0
Operating System: Linux 2.6.35-28-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 10.10

-- Information about the crash:
I havent done anything. I just used Kubuntu as normal and suddenly it crashed.

Also, if I start Kopete, Kontact also opens. I dont know why that happens.

And, a Suggestion, a Google Synchronisation Possibility for Kontact Calendar
and Contacts would be great!

Thanks

Robin Dieker

(In reply to comment #2)
possible CAUSE: automatically word wrap of kmail

WORKAROUND: deactivate Word wrap at column at Options/Composer Page/General

I have the same problem as the bug's author. Indeed I have word wrapping
enabled but it should only work for long lines, not for very long words
that
are mainly URLs.

Lines must not be too long for better reading. But URLs must not be
splitted
in order to allow clicks on the to open the right page. Only opening

http://www.verylong.url/containing-

instead of

http://www.verylong.url/containing-something_for_auto_word_wrap.html

is not the way to go.

[Bug 268961] New: After upgrade from 4.4.x entering oacute char is not possible in kmail using polish national keyboard.

2011-03-20 Thread mateusz-lists
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=268961

Summary: After upgrade from 4.4.x entering oacute char is not
possible in kmail using polish national keyboard.
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.13.6
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: mateusz-li...@ant.gliwice.pl

Version: 1.13.6 (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS:Linux

It worked as supposed in kmail with KDE 4.4.x, now pressing right alt + o does
not do anything.
Rest of polish characters work excellent (except right alt + shift + o - not
producing Oacute either).
Rest of KDE applications (konqueror, kate) has no problem at all.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
start writing new e-mail using kmail having polish keyboard layout and hit
rightalt + o.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
Nice ó letter entered.

Hello

First of all, the password 'AXFv06[' is not big enough. Gmail requires an 8
length password. Yours is 7. Also i cannot reproduce this bug. I am using kde
4.6.1 with kmail 2.0.89 and my distro is opensuse 11.3. Please can you try to
reproduce the bug again with a newer version of kde?

[Bug 268996] New: remove central akonadi dependencies

2011-03-20 Thread arne anka
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=268996

   Summary: remove central akonadi dependencies
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: kde-b...@ginguppin.de

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.3)
OS:Linux

i got a netbook which does not and unbder any circumstances use akonadi!
the only application installed and used, that remotely might be related to
akonadi, is kopete -- and that runs very well without.

nevertheless, i am forced to install akonadi and it's seemingly impossible to
get either rid of it or at least stop it from running and thus using up
valuable resources i have better usesd for than a framework i never touch.

i fail to understand, why a functionality not being vital (neither a semantic
desktop nor address/calendar management are necessary to running kde) is forced
upon users w/o any means to get rid of them.

i wrote a script that mercyless akonadi, nepomuk and all those creeps whenever
they attempt to rear their heads and it doesn't make my system unstable or
unusable -- there may be a lot of people finding akonadi usefull, but there are
probably as many who think it to be a waste of resources.

please, identify those apps _really_ needing akonadi (are there any more than
kdepim?) amd limit the dependencies to those only.

Reproducible: Always

asked for the password
4)close kmail. And open it again. Now if you try to sent a new email, you will
