[Bug 273000] Mail check progress bar is always at 0% while checking

2011-05-10 Thread Raphael Kubo da Costa
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=273000

--- Comment #1 from Raphael Kubo da Costa 2011-05-11
07:01:56 ---
In fact, if I only re-check the IMAP folder I am currently in, the progress bar
says "Syncing collection" and also stays at 0% until it jumps right to 100%.

[Bug 273000] New: Mail check progress bar is always at 0% while checking

2011-05-10 Thread Raphael Kubo da Costa
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=273000

Summary: Mail check progress bar is always at 0% while checking
   Product: kmail2
   Version: Git (master)
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: FreeBSD
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: commands and actions
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: kub...@gmail.com

Version: Git (master) (using Devel)
OS:FreeBSD

These are kdepimlibs 04ee64e, kdepim-runtime bd57e66, kdepim 6665f00 and
akonadi fc57f8c.

When KMail checks one IMAP account of mine, the progress bar that is shown when
I click the blue arrow in the bottom right in the status bar is always stuck at
0% while KMail shows it is going through all my IMAP folders. After all folders
were checked, the progress bar jumps to 100% and shows "Ready" before
disappearing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
- Add an IMAP account;
- Check your mail;
- Click the blue arrow at the bottom right of the window to watch the progress
of the check.

Actual Results:
The folders are checked, but progress is always at 0%.

Expected Results:
The progress bar should be filled as each folder is checked.

[Bug 264861] Google calendar and contacts don't work

2011-05-10 Thread Alejandro Nova
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=264861

--- Comment #38 from Alejandro Nova 2011-05-11
05:50:23 ---
Strictly speaking, this seems to be a bug generated by a version mismatch
generated by compiling the Google Akonadi resources against a different release
of Akonadi (1.4). If ABI compatibility for resources between 2 major releases
of Akonadi was intended, then this bug should remain open and the cause of
Google Akonadi resource's incompatibilities should be analyzed.

Otherwise, I suggest this bug to be closed as INVALID, since it's a downstream
bug.

[Bug 271913] KMail 2 succeeds in migrating data, but old folders are initially empty

2011-05-10 Thread Leon Maurer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=271913

--- Comment #3 from Leon Maurer
2011-05-10 22:37:10 ---
(I previously posted this on Bug 272099.)

I've found a strange fix:

You can see in my earlier attachment that KMail shows zero messages in the
trash. However, when I moved a message to the trash, all of a sudden I could
see the other messages that had been in the trash but weren't previously
visible.

I can do the same with the other folders; after I move a message in to them,
the previously invisible messages become visible.

[Bug 272921] New: akonadi imap resource for gmail account crashes a few minuts after resume from suspend to ram

2011-05-10 Thread Luis Silva
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=272921

Summary: akonadi imap resource for gmail account crashes a few
minuts after resume from suspend to ram
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: IMAP resource
AssignedTo: er...@kde.org
ReportedBy: lacsi...@gmail.com
CC: vkra...@kde.org, kdepim-bugs@kde.org

Application: akonadi_imap_resource (0.1)
KDE Platform Version: 4.6.2 (4.6.2) (Compiled from sources)
Qt Version: 4.7.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.38-9-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 11.04

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Usually I am doing something completely random and unrelated. The common theme
is that it is always the same imap resource, associated with a gmail account
and that the crash happens a few minutes after resuming from suspend to ram.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
imap resources tend to not take suspend to ram and loss of network connections
so well.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

-- Backtrace:
Application: Akonadi Resource (akonadi_imap_resource), signal: Aborted

[Bug 272920] New: Odd sync issues when deleting mail

2011-05-10 Thread Malte S . Stretz
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=272920

Summary: Odd sync issues when deleting mail
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 2.0.95
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: kde-bug...@msquadrat.de

Created an attachment (id=59841)
 --> (http://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=59841)
Screenshot of the Conflict Resolution dialog

Version: 2.0.95 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS:Linux

I opened up my IMAP Inbox, saw a spam mail, selected it and hit Delete (befoew
the content was loaded). I was greeted by a Conflict Resolution dialog box
which asked me to resolve a conflict in the metadata (how is a "regular" user
supposed to answer this question?), see attached screenshot. Jusdging from the
modification time of the left column, it tried to resolve a conflict between a
dummy/empty object and the then-loaded mail.

I just pressed Escape (which resolution is that?) and afterwards I couldn't
find the mail in the Trash folder (the wrong one BTW, cf. bug 259422).

The debug output wasn't helpful either. I posted it below; it appeared AFTER I
dismissed the Conflict Resolution dialog.

Finally, I had a look at the local trash folder (is it supposed to be a broken
Maildir?) and discovered that it contained 5 messages while KMail only displays
2 (I can't tell if the deleted mail is there since it was a spam mail I receive
quite often; but the timestamp 2011-05-10 10:41 looks like its that mail):

ah, correction, the bug is marked as fixed in Qt 4.7.4

You can ask your distribution to backport the fix to their current Qt package.
Just ask them to read http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-16292

(note, Opensuse already has it)
