Git commit f5bf00638a3cefe7f23cd5f428598fb0ca921833 by Kevin Krammer.
Committed on 16/06/2011 at 17:12.
Pushed by krake into branch '4.6'.

Fix output encoding for vcard output

KABC::VCardConverter creates UTF-8 encoded output, so implicitly
converting that to QString and then converting with output codec
resulted in a broken chain conversions.

Now check if output codec is not UTF-8 and then recode vcard output
from UTF-8 to QString before passing that to the chosen output
converter.

Fixed for me too in 2.1.0. Both Bogofilter and SpamAssassin do tag my emails
now.

[Bug 275830] New: KMail crashed on first run after adding IMAP account

2011-06-16 Thread Alex Merry
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=275830

Summary: KMail crashed on first run after adding IMAP account
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 2.0.95
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: k...@randomguy3.me.uk

Application: kmail (2.0.95)
KDE Platform Version: 4.6.80 (4.7 Beta1)
Qt Version: 4.7.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.39-ARCH x86_64

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I ran KMail for the first time (with no existing KMail1 settings), and stepped
through creating an IMAP account when the wizard came up (entering server
settings manually). Just before the wizard finished (ie: just before it became
possible to click Finish), KMail crashed (but the wizard didn't).

To be more precise. Tagging works for me, yet moving not. If I apply the
filters manually the emails get moved to the junk folder but not automatically
as other emails from my IMAP inbox.

[Bug 275830] KMail crashed on first run after adding IMAP account

2011-06-16 Thread Alex Merry
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=275830

--- Comment #1 from Alex Merry kde randomguy3 me uk 2011-06-16 18:47:49 ---
This happened when I added another IMAP account (again from the first run
wizard; KMail apparently hadn't realised anything had been set up since it had
crashed before).

It didn't happen with the third account when I entered the wrong username, and
so authentication failed. However, this account also never appeared in KMail,
even when the username was corrected.

It also happens when adding an account from the Account Settings dialog in
KMail.

Adding a POP3 account does not crash KMail.

[Bug 275851] New: Kontact crash after KMail IMAP connection hangs

2011-06-16 Thread Robert Simmons
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=275851

Summary: Kontact crash after KMail IMAP connection hangs
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.4.10
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: rsimmo...@gmail.com

Application: kontact (4.4.10)
KDE Platform Version: 4.6.4 (4.6.4)
Qt Version: 4.7.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 11.04

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I was using KMail to check my mail on Gmail through IMAP. Every so often the
IMAP connection hangs/times out. This time when it hung, KMail could not
access any folders at all, so I closed Kontact completely. When I reopened
Kontact, it would not start because the old kontact process (hung) was still
running (these ought to be a message saying that its already running, but there
isn't it just dissapears and you have to know to run a pgrep or ps aux to find
the old process (I am used to kubuntu now, so I know that if a program silently
fails to open then the same program is probably either running or has a zombie
left over). That's beside the point, however.

When I killed the hung process Kontact crashed and opened the bug report tool.

[Bug 275855] New: Google Tasks plugin for Kontact needed

Summary: Google Tasks plugin for Kontact needed
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.4.10
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: new plugin wishes
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: rsimmo...@gmail.com

Version: 4.4.10 (using KDE 4.6.4)
OS:Linux

I would like to be able to access my Google Tasks list directly inside Kontact.

There is a plasma widget that achieves the same ends, but all it does is
widgetize rekonq or konqueror and restrict it to a small window showing just
your tasks.

Ultimately it would be great to have the To-do plugin be able to access Google
Tasks lists. Barring that, a Google Tasks specific plugin for kontact would
also be great (this may actually be better than disrupting/changing the To-do
plugin)

Reproducible: Didn't try

(In reply to comment #13)
At least KMail 2.1.0 (from KDEPIM 4.6.0/gentoo packages) is not able to handle
 invitations/calendar events anymore.

@Sergio: Did you already get the requested invitation?

I got it, and it worked fine.

Would be great if someone with C++ skills debugged this issue, since none of
the developers can reproduce this.

kdepim/plugins/messageviewer/bodypartformatter/text_calendar.cpp is a good
starting point.
