[Bug 277742] New: Filtering is applied at the wrong point of the mail retrieving process
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277742 Summary: Filtering is applied at the wrong point of the mail retrieving process Product: kmail2 Version: 2.1.1 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: and...@alweb.dk Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE 4.6.4) OS:Linux Kmail2 (or the akonadi email resource) is applying filtering AFTER putting the mail in the inbox folder and telling me it arrived. Then mails starts being moved to their destination folders, very, very slowly. This is of course plain wrong, filtering should be done prior to placing mail in a folder. As a result of the misbehavior, a lot of akonadi, mysql and nepomuk activity appears to be repeated. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277749 Summary: marking mails leads to conflict dialog Product: kmail2 Version: 2.1.1 Platform: Unlisted Binaries OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: and...@alweb.dk Version: 2.1.1 OS:Linux marking mail as read leads often provokes a very annoying and unsable dialog that claims that something (akonadi?) experiences a conflict having to store two similar mails. This is of course plain wrong, there is only one mail. The dialog itself is unusable because it shows the two mails in a way that makes it difficult to compare them, they should be in equally wide columns of course, and the dialog big enough to display the data when ever possible. A 200x200 px dialog is not sufficient! But this dialog should probably NEVER be shown, it is a sign of design error at least in any event I have been presented with it, something is done wrong rather than a conflict existing. [Bug 41514] KMail freezes the UI when checking for new mail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41514 --- Comment #207 from krienke uni-koblenz de 2011-07-14 16:19:52 --- (In reply to comment #206) Your problem is unrelated to reported problems that started with kmail 1 - slowness/freeze caused by running filters. You are probably referring to slowness of fetching mails - something similar to bug 277597, which I observe with POP3 account, but you have it with an IMAP account. My Problem ts not the speed of fetching mail that does not work as before, but the speed of typing a new mail while fetching mail automatically. This is where words that I type appear some seconds later in the editor window. So in a sense kmail2 freezes the UI to some degree while fetching new mail which is what the OP said. The difference is really that he was talking about kmail1 and am talking about kmail2. Should I start a new Bugreport? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=193514 --- Comment #173 from Christophe Giboudeaux cgiboudeaux gmx com 2011-07-14 19:36:24 --- I'm still puzzled about this report, none of the methods to trigger this crash work here. There's probably another condition. So, if someone is able to reproduce this crash *every time* (with your regular user and with a new one, for example), please report how to do. So far, I tried the following things: - suspend to ram then wake up - use kontact (which is the opposite of the previous point) - Relaunching Kontact after I had closed it once. I haven't logged out and in again. - start Kontact, open Akregator inside, quit Kontact, start Kontact again. - When I closed Kontact I had the Journal module opened - Closing Kontact (ctrl+q) and reopening results in a crash. [Bug 266429] [IMAP] Large mail not displayed after download
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=266429 S. Burmeister sven.burmeis...@gmx.net changed: What|Removed |Added CC||sven.burmeis...@gmx.net --- Comment #3 from S. Burmeister sven burmeister gmx net 2011-07-15 00:12:23 --- Please do not mix things. This bug is only about kmail2 not displaying large messages after finishing to download them. Comment 2 and 3 have nothing to do with that. I can confirm that kmail2 does not change the preview pane after the message has beend completely downloaded. Double-clicking the message in the message view or changing to another message and back displays it. (which is why comment 2 has nothing to do with this bug) So the bug is that kmail 2 is not notified that the download finished or ignores that notification and thus does not change its UI accordingly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
