[Bug 291796] New: Opening inbox stuck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=291796 Summary: Opening inbox stuck Product: kmail2 Version: 1.99.0 Platform: Unlisted Binaries OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: lukacs.ar...@gmail.com Version: 1.99.0 (using KDE 4.7.3) OS:Linux Clicking folder Inbox on the folder list opens the message list, but if I click a message, it cannot open the message. The status remains Synchronizing folder Inbox forewer. This only happens after starting up the computer. Kmail starts up after login, and downloads new messages (via pop3) automatically. Filters move messages to other folders. However, many messages remain in the Maildir, under inbox/new. If I stop akonadi, remove these files, and start kmail again, it can start normally, and open messages. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Shut down the computer with kmail running. 2. Start it up again, log in, kmail comes up. 3. Wait till kmail downloads messages, and filters file them into folders. 4. Open inbox. 5. Click a message in the message list. Actual Results: The message is not opened, a message is displayed that asks the user to wait. Status remains Synchronizing folder inbox forever. Progress bar remains at 0 %. Expected Results: The message should be opened :) OS: Linux 3.0.0-14-generic (i686) Kubuntu 11.10 Compiler: gcc -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 291801] New: KMail hangs in a futex call
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=291801 Summary: KMail hangs in a futex call Product: kmail2 Version: 4.8 Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: d...@progdan.cz Version: 4.8 (using Devel) OS:Linux When I try to open INBOX on an IMAP account KMail hangs. Strace shows that it always hangs in a futex call. I think it is caused by a race condition because when I run KMail in strace, I'm unable to reproduce the issue (it's obviously running slower). It only happens when I run KMail on it's own, strace -p `pidof kmail` of the frozen KMail then shows $ strace -p `pidof kmail` Process 5672 attached - interrupt to quit futex(0x7f546fcac8a0, FUTEX_WAIT_PRIVATE, 2, NULL It happens only with INBOX, other folders can be opened and I can switch between emails. It freezes sometimes when I switch between emails to quickly (but only sometimes, does not seem to be regular). Let me know if you need any more information. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1) run KMail with IMAP account 2) open INBOX 3) KMail freezes 4) strace -p `pidof kmail` will show it hangs in futex() Actual Results: KMail freezes Expected Results: KMail should not freeze :) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 283821] kmail2 can't send reply to calendar event request

I use korganizer 4.7.3 in kde 4.7.4. If I create a new event with attendees I will get the same behaviour as described for kmail2: the recipients addresses are not accepted by davmail, because of the extra brackets around the mail addresses: log from davmail: Category:davmail Message:Invalid recipient: RCPT TO:firstname christianname firstname.christiann...@domainname.de Location: davmail.ui.tray.DavGatewayTray.displayMessage(DavGatewayTray.java:113) Thrown: davmail.exception.DavMailException: Invalid recipient: RCPT TO:firstname christiannamefirstname.christiann...@domainname.de at davmail.smtp.SmtpConnection.run(SmtpConnection.java:141) It seems to be a bug in a library used by kmail2 and korganizer. Maybe this helps to locate the bug. Thank you all for your engaged work. [Bug 288268] imap agents crash when network connection gets closed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288268 --- Comment #25 from David Faure faure kde org 2012-01-17 22:25:56 --- Git commit 6d6476e80ccc3d058d0e56bab52ab8430315ba15 by David Faure. Committed on 17/01/2012 at 23:02. Pushed by dfaure into branch 'master'. Rework handling of connection failures, to fix crashes. Testcase: unplugging my network cable, waiting for timeouts, plugging it back again later, check mail. * Port from deprecated connectionLost to stateChanged, which has the major benefit of not confusing failure to connect with we lost our connection (due to KIMAP::Session emitting both signals for compat reasons). * Failure to connect is now handled in the result slot for the LoginJob, rather than via the connectionFailed signal, since the first one is called anyway. * Make sure we emit connectDone on error, even if m_initialConnectDone is true, so that the resource sets itself to offline (rather than it attempting the same task over and over again!). * Don't set the resource status to Broken when it's simply offline (login failure due to could not connect is handled separately now) * Make sure not to pop up a password dialog when couldn't connect; this is different from we could connect but the server refused login. Requires kdepimlibs commit acdb0f7e50 for ERR_COULD_NOT_CONNECT.
